Dolce Salon

I wish I could give this place a better review, because everyone is really nice, but I have been to three different stylists here and I don’t know what the problem is…
The first was really good with color. I didn’t have to explain anything, she just did her thing, and it looked great, but towards the end of the appointment, she just styled my hair and forgot to cut it. When I called for a return appointment, she was no longer working there, so I made it with someone else. I asked for similar color, but a little bit thinner highlights. When I’m paying $ 90 without tip, I expect a partial, not a few streaks of white and a few of copper, which is what I got. It looked like I did it myself! I didn’t want to make her feel bad that I was so unhappy, so I just rebooked with yet another stylist there for my next visit and suffered with bad hair for 8 weeks.
The next stylist’s waiting list was really long, so I thought that was promising. I brought in pictures this time to communicate exactly the color I wanted. Well, I walked out ($ 200 later) with yellow and orange THICK striped hair all over my head. I asked for lighter in the front, and she went darker, painting a 2 inch band of dark copper around my face. I look like I have a copper headband on. I have never ever done this in the 12 or so years I’ve been getting my hair colored, but I called to complain about the color. Instead of working with me, she told me I should part it differently and handed me some sort of purple stuff to try that has now made the yellow turn white with a grayish purple tint. One side of my head is orange, and one is the grayish white. Needless to say, I’m never going back here.

Getting a cut at a salon is never easy on the wallet, but they know what they’re doing at Dolce. TJ was my stylist, and he was great. Very nice, we jived on a love of Lady Gaga, and he gave me a really fun summer cut. It’s out of the way for me, being in south Tulsa, but it was worth it for how short I went. The décor of the salon is pretty cute. It’s a really welcoming environment. A+

Dolce is still terrific– but sadly Leanne is no longer there. She moved to another salon in south Tulsa. I’ll Unilocal about her later! Everything else at Dolce is just as wonderful as always, and the receptionist /​stylist-​in-​training, T.J. is about the cutest thing you’ll ever see.

I was very pleased with my hair color and cut! Very pleased! But I thought it was a little over priced for the setting and experience of the stylists.

Amber works magic. I had the worst streaky hair color & shaggy cut. After a thorough consultation, she gave me exactly what I wanted. Absolutely the best cut and color I have ever had. Amber is a perfectionist and is so pleasant, the time just flew by. I was visiting from Phoenix and plan to book an appointment with her every time I return to Tulsa to visit family. I wish I could find someone anywhere near as good as her in Phoenix!
