This place used to be good before they moved. Now there is just that drunk guy singing playing guitar and playing grab ass with the waitresses. food was awful too. Which is sad because the only location didn’t suck.

I agree with most every review that this place has. The food is just not good. It was not horrible, it just wasn’t good. Service was slow and unprofessional. Drinks were slow. Portions were fairly small. Apparently they do not take into consideration the concert schedule at the BOK a block away as they seemed to not be prepared for the sold out crowd that was looking for places to eat before the show.

This is a nice place to stop in for lunch. The menu has many selections of Latin American cuisine not just Mexican. The food was good but didn’t really stand out from any other restaurant with the same type of cuisine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food took a bit long to get to our table but to be fair it was during a busy lunch hour. The portions were adequate for the prices you pay which were fair. It just didn’t stand out as its own restaurant. It felt like any other restaurant in Tulsa. Overall it was a good experience. Stop in for lunch or dinner.

Bad food! Went there for lunch and won’t be back. Chips were served warm but salsa tasted too much like plain tomatoes and dirty water. Enchiladas came quickly, but the rice was mushy and I remember better food served in public school cafeterias. Save your money and just go anywhere else.

This is the worst Mexican restaurant ever. I was there on 1÷1÷2016. We ordered melted cheese and was jus a yellow tasteless water. We sent it back but the female waiter didn’t care nor speak English or Spanish. I ordered beef burrito that came floating in the same yellow tasteless water. The beef inside was disgusting, tasted as greased boiled cheap beef and over-salted, impossible to eat. I sent it back and ended up without eating. Quality of food minus zero. Service minus zero. Don’t even think of going. That place is terrible.

Came to Tulsa on a mini vacation in search of some«hole in the wall» — type digs, and came across this location as it was right next to our hotel. I found the website to hype up the place and we decided to give it a try. I’ve rated this place: Food — 5⁄10 Drinks — 3⁄10 Atmosphere — 4⁄10 Service 7⁄10 While the chips and salsa given prior to our meal were good, not great; the shrimp fajitas I had ordered tasted as though I could’ve made them at home. Sides were hit or miss, with the guacamole and lettuce/pico mix being just as I would expect, however the rice that came with it felt like I was eating small, puffy cardboard pellets. No flavor or texture. While my fiancé had the margaritas, I had the Mexican Sweet Tea. We both came to a concensus that these drinks were some of the most watered-down we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was quaint and friendly, with a very texmex style of brick layering and color scheme. Small TV’s were plastered along the walls for entertainment, and seating was adequate for the crowd that was there with us(maybe a couple of families tops). There was an unusual seemingly closed off area where we noticed some shady characters to hang out, but I’m a judge of food not people. Our service came from a more elderly, attentive woman with good mannerisms and genuine hospitality. The owner even gave us full menus, as we are from out of town and didn’t realize that on show nights at the BOK they serve a limited menu to support the load of numerous customers, although they didn’t have that problem the night we came. Overall it was a fine experience as a single experience. I would not come back by my own free will.

Wow, it’s pretty rare that a place deserves a zero but this is it. I had to order three different times because they didn’t have the first two. When i got the tamale dinner, it showed no resemblance to what they describe. The service was very poor and it seemed dirty. it could have been a bad night but they didn’t care.

I used to stop by the place maybe once a week, not because the food was great — it wasn’t and still isn’t. The food is probably about one step above the stuff you would get in a cafeteria if it was trying to serve Mexican food. Pretty bland, but on the upside they had lunch specials that were reasonable and lets face it there just isn’t any other mexican place in downtown tulsa good or bad unless you want to drive somewhere. Now all that said, today was the last day I will ever go there. The food was no better or worse than it ever was, marginal but edible. However they have now started nickle and diming customers. I ordered a enchilada special and requested queso instead of the chile con carne on top… something I had done in the past with no problems because lets face it the queso they serve isn’t very cheesey probably doesn’t even have much cheese in it, but it also doesn’t have the cumminy taste of their other sauce. Order arrives and food is as expected… Then the bill arrives, they charged $ 0.75 per enchilada for sauce… so an extra 1.50 for cheese in place of their chile sauce. Sorry but that’s beyond a rip off… I might not complain if it was a 50 cent charge for everything but to charge per enchilada is insane. The last time I will ever eat there… I will now drive a few miles outside of downtown to get better food and certainly wont get gouged for the sauce.

Let me start by saying for those who are expecting Tex-Mex this is NOT Tex-Mex. This is «supposed» to be more authentic. We desperately took a chance on this place prior to the Garth Brooke’s concert. The wait was about 45 minutes to an hour. Once we were seated it took about another 45 minutes for us to get our food. The chips were store bought. The red and green salsa had no flavor. Once we received the food it was just sub-par. The enchilada looked like it has been sitting in a tub for a long time because some of the cheese was hard. The tamales were supposed to be homemade but they tasted as if they came out of a can. The only thing we liked at all was the queso and it wasn’t anything special. There are very few choices in the Tulsa downtown area(it’s dead) but I think we would have been better off waiting longer at the Italian restaurant across the street.

This was our favorite place to eat as kids, back in the day when it was where Whole Foods is now. Edith and Guillermo, the owners are a big part of Tulsa’s Hispanic community, and I hate to say that their restaurant is probably going to fail. I got my old standby, the Mexican Pizza, and my husband had the Tacos de la Casa. Our food was delicious. The iced tea tasted old and stale. There were only a couple of other tables occupied when we got there, and only two new tables when we left. This was probably a good thing though, because there was only one employee to host, wait tables, answer the phone, cashier, etc. She may have even been preparing the food! We left her a good tip, because she was so busy, but our whole experience was kind of sad.

Wow, worst dining experience ever. To be fair, it was before the Paul McCartney concert. The waitress took more than 5 minutes to great us. She never refilled our drinks. We ordered a taco salad and two enchiladas, which took over 45 minutes.

Service would probably have been acceptable had my waiters been anyone other than the apparent managers. Service was something of a tag team event with the hostess seating me, then taking my food and drink order. But I had to repeat the order for the bartender as I was evidently seated in his section and he had to run the tab and bring my ticket. After he passed the table six, seven, eight, then nine times ignoring my card laying on top of the ticket, he finally paused long enough to say«She’ll be back for your ticket.» At least that’s what I think he said as he was very soft spoken and had this annoying habit of turning 90 degrees perpendicular and not making any eye contact. On the eleventh or twelfth pass I instructed the bartender to run the ticket, somewhat forcefully. Food was okay. Chicken taco salad on the specials menu and a fairly meager offering with small taco shell, lettuce, cheese, and chicken. I probably won’t go back. I’m sure this surprises you!

I have been coming to CL since I was a teenager. I have patronized the new location numerous times and enjoyed their food. Tonight was something entirely different. I ordered fajitas beef and it was tough to cut through and I asked for a chicken fajita instead. I was entirely surprised to find this dish was even worse. I mentioned this to my waiter and I said would be glad to pay for my drinks but not the food. He explained they had a new chef and apologized and asked if I needed to speak with the owner. I said that was not necessary but he got him anyway. Then it got interesting. I was interviewed by the owner and mentioned I had been eating at his place for over 20 years and had never experienced an issue. He shook his head and declared no one complains about his fajitas and insinuated I was lying. Insulted I paid the bill in full, gave a 50% tip and stated I would never eat there again. Very sad.

I don’t mean to give it a bad review but I just wasn’t that impressed and didn’t think it deserved more than 2 stars if I wasn’t going to come back. The food tasted fine… I had 3 enchiladas. For some reason I automatically thought it would come with rice and beans but it didn’t. I felt like 8 or 9 dollars I paid, I derserved some rice and beans with it. The chips and salsa were also good. Again, neither the meal or atmosphere/place impressed me.

Driving from Chicago to LA we decided to make a pit stop in Tulsa. The whole city was dead, we were very luck to come across this place. The tacos were amazing. The meat was just how I like it, nice and seared on the outside and tender and juicy in the center. They also had a musician performer that wasn’t that bad, at least entertaining. If I ever have to drive through Tulsa again, I’ll make sure to pay a visit.

This place was so disappointing. For some unfathomable reason, there were several good reviews on google. The waitress was unwilling tell us what was in the food, whether or not it had meat or whatever. The queso tasted like it came out of a can. I ordered cheese enchiladas. Everything was bland and unseasoned. Seriously, I have had better frozen mexican dinners. Like way better. Skip this one if you’re downtown. Gross!!!

On our way to Billy’s downtown, we made a last minute decision to try something new, so voila! Casa Laredo! They reference Latin food and tequila in the window, so we were sold. The chili con queso is touted as a «fondue-like» cheese, so of course I have to try it. You’ve piqued my interest, Laredo! It was good. Different somehow, but neither of us could put our finger on what it was. They also have a queso blanco option that I wouldn’t mind trying next time. It’s more expensive, so we figured we’d feel out the yellow version first. I had the taco platter, which consisted of two tacos. I opted for one crispy one soft. The soft taco was burrito-ish, wrapped and covered in cheese. I love cheese if I haven’t mentioned that already. The crunchy taco was perfect. A nice size, and didn’t fall apart in my hands. The service was friendly and attentive, and it was not long between ordering and eating. If you’re downtown and craving Mexican, this place is A-OK.
