Very good vegan food! So sad that yall are closing now! On our trips to Tulsa I would love to have had become a regular. The food and service was wonderful on your last day of being open. Thanks for the experience & good luck in the future!

This restaurant has, hands down, the best vegetarian cuisine in the region. I say this, not just because the quality of their food but really because how approachable it is for someone who isn’t vegetarian. Don’t get me wrong, there isn’t a dish at Café Samana that isn’t exquisite and mouthwateringly good but to have a business that supports local, organic, and delicious food without being stuffy, «hipster», or judgmental can be difficult. This is a welcoming environment that allows people of all walks of life to come in and enjoy thoughtful food. Just to be clear, the do serve meat as well but I primarily write for the veggie eater. Unfortunately, after 5.5 years, this place will be opening it’s doors for the last time. They have more adventures to go on and life to live but you have until August 7th to get out there and enjoy a real gem of Tulsa.

Quite possibly the best place I’ve found in quite a while! Had the sweet potato burrito & peanut slaw. So. Freakin. Good.

It really is just amazing food. The ingredients are superb. There are so many vegetarian options! And I have yet to taste a soup of the day I did not like, they are all delicious! I always take guests to this local joint because I know they will love anything they order.

We happened on this gem while visiting Tulsa. It was fantastic! A wide variety of options, most of which made it hard to choose! We got the sweet burrito(sweet potato, black bean, avacado, etc) and it was great! Also tried a vegetarian Reuben for the first time. Yummy! For a side, try the Samana Slaw(local bean sprouts in peanut sauce). We splurged and got the vegan carrot cake, which was another home run. I liked this place so much, I signed up with Unilocal and wrote my first review!

I LOVED their super moist strawberry cake!!! This vegetarian restaurant had a nice variety of menu items as well as daily specials. The staff is super friendly and by far one of the better vegetarian restaurants I’ve been to in the states. Their attention to detail in choosing healthy high quality ingredients, organic produce and local food are all great reasons to treat yourself to this place. Plus their prices are affordable!!! I can definitely see myself becoming a regular there.

Friendly staff with good vegan and gluten free options. When we got there around 1 pm on a Wednesday we had a small wait. The lady who sat us, our waiter, and the man who boxed up our leftovers were all courteous. The waiter answered all my questions about vegan, gluten, garlic, and onion free options and our order came out correctly done(I love that when I have special dietary needs). My daughter was excited that they offer gluten free bread and I was excited that there was no extra charge for it. I can’t attest to how good the gluten free bread is but my daughter ate it all. My mom isn’t vegetarian but she ordered the Bella Witch and enjoyed it and said she felt healthy after it.

Love this place-delicious and fresh food. So different. My friends and I started out with the artichoke spread. It came with yummy toasty bread, carrots and I think beets. Very pretty presentation and so good. My friends split the Marley sandwich with the Samana Slaw(bean sprouts and peanut sauce)-the Samana Slaw was incredible and I am not a slaw person. We shared everything. I had the chicken salad wrap with the sweet potato fries. I am super picky about chicken salad and this was really good and very different. Then we split a vegan strawberry cake and we all agreed it was probably the best strawberry cake we have ever had. The ginger mint tea was refreshing and flavorful too.

I love this place. nestled in an inconspicuous shopping center right south of brookside, it is easy to pass right on by this gem without knowing what you’re missing out on. café samana is so tasty, healthy, and fresh. the food is a little pricier, but it’s healthy, so I expect that. the options are awesome. food, drink(it’s all nonalcoholic), and dessert optionally is key in my world, and this place gets the job done. the vibe is clean, laid back, and«green». the service is very good. my one problem with the restaurant: the hours. it’s purely a lunch place, and I hardly ever get down to the brookside area for lunch. they’re open 11am — 3pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday. the only night they are open for dinner is Friday, and their hours on that day are 11am — 9pm. check this place out. I think you’ll like it! and café samana. if you’re reading this, open up for weekday dinners!

Oh holy lover of all things kombucha, local, and delicious, if I could have a city with Tulsa’s Café Samara, Norman’s Earth Café, Oklahoma City’s Red Cup, and Tulsa’s Chimera, I’d be the happiest gal in Oklahoma. It is the place you want to be if you are a starving green granola gal. But yes, be hungry, because these non-GMO delights are hardy. We ordered the artichoke spread with Farrell’s Family Farm bread, colorful carrots, and raw mushrooms. It was divine, and I was full afterwards. We shared the breakfast burrito, which had an Indian-curry kick. They noted I mentioned«share,» and lovingly brought each half to us on a plate. AWESOME.(I have to say, people in Tulsa are just really infused with mindfulness, kindness, and a laid-back spirit. WHAT is in the water here? Particulates of Eckhart Tolle? It is something.) The café is a good size, but cozy, and there are some lovely pieces of art on the wall(I especially was entranced with some magenta cloud cosmic one). I was so sad I couldn’t finish everything. Oh, and I also had a ginger mint tea and cup of the asparagus-lemon soup. I just love love love this place and want to marry it. Is that legal in Tulsa?

What a great little surprise to find in Tulsa! We visited Café Samana after a trip to the Philbrook Museum, and my family and I were all impressed and satisfied with our meals. I ordered the Sweet Burrito, which was not only a good size for lunch(I ended up with half to take home with me) but was delicious and filled with a yummy combination of flavors. Service was fabulous. It is a small place, so be prepared for a wait, but we were able to get right in since we came a few minutes before the lunch time rush. I have absolutely no complaints about this place, and I’m definitely putting it on my list of places to go back to when I’m in town. Yum!

I always like something different. For me being a burger lover, this was something needed. Vegan/Organic is a great thing, especially for people on diets & such. I got the Black Bean Betty Burger. Organic black beans, plantains & chipotle peppers blended together, topped with organic spinach, organic white cheddar & cilantro aioli on an organic wheat bun. I know what I ordered & I STILL thought it was actual ground beef, from the way it looked. It was great! Perfect sweetness from plantains & you definitely get the black beans in every bite. I got the fruit & yogurt as well. Organic yogurt, grapes & apple slices with real maple syrup. I’ve never had syrup with my yogurt & it was wonderful! I’m going to start having my yogurt like that. The people that worked there were nice & very helpful. Spencer was all over my the place. Making sure people needed anything & getting people drinks. The lady that helped me with my order was very sweet & soft spoken. The place was very chill, cozy, soothing, etc. Also, checkout the beverages they have & their daily sweets & soups!

Best BLT with avocado ever! This is mostly vegetarian. Local diary and produce used. Good brewed iced tea. Nice selection of salads and the bread which was local from south Tulsa was so good. 4 stars for me means a real treat to go to to impress yourself or others w great food. Nice earnest service.

This is where healthy, vegan fare meets incredible flavor! I came here for lunch and was blown away by all the vegetarian options. Choosing just one item was a ridiculous 15 minute ordeal, apologies to my waiter. I settled on the black bean burger with a side of roasted sweet potatoes. Ummm, I chose a clear winner because it was bursting with deliciousness! I also love sprouts so the huge pile of them on top of the patty sealed the deal. I think my carnivore of a husband would even agree that Samana is a fantastic place to eat at while in Brookside!

A friend suggested we eat here. At first, I honestly thought about de-friending him on the spot. Why would someone suggest to ME(a true lover of all things meat) that we eat at a VEGETARIAN restaurant? But, wanting to keep an open mind, I agreed… and I’m glad I did. We came on a Friday night for dinner(the only night of the week it’s actually open for dinner!) and it was PACKED with a line waiting for a table. The wait wasn’t too long(maybe 15 minutes). I got the Bella Witch, which had sauteed baby bellas, eggplant, red bell peppers, onions, and pesto aioli with a side of sweet potatoes. It was surprisingly delicious. The bellas were so juicy, I didn’t even miss meat. The hot dog bun it was on was kind of over toasted/dry/hard, though. The sweet potatoes were seasoned well and were pretty filling. We split a piece of cake(I forgot exactly what type… some type of coffee-flavored cake?). The cake was okay, but slightly dry for my liking. It also had that… healthy taste if you know what I mean. But it wasn’t horrible. Btw, there ARE a couple of entrees with meat if you need it! As I left, I thought to myself I wouldn’t mind coming back. From this carnivore — well done, Café Samana.

Overall, a really great place(and one of the only Tulsa veggie places)! I went for lunch and it was pretty hoppin’. I grabbed a table solo, although there was a small bar(no drinks, just bar seating). For lunch, I ordered the Samana BBQ wrap with a cup of the mushroom herb soup. The food came pretty quick and was decent. The wrap was out of this world, but did come on a spinach wrap(not tomato like it said on the menu). The soup was not for me, quite spicy/tangy. I guess because of the herbs? I definitely should have gotten the red pepper soup instead. To drink I got the Trilogy kombucha tea, one of my personal favorites. I would recommend this place for other vegetarians of adventurous carnivores.

Feeling like getting your wholesome and good self treated with fresh ingredients? This hidden gem will surely fill your belly with healthy goodness. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover totally applies here. Nestled in a shopping strip in Brookside around burger joints I wouldn’t have expected to find such flavorful and healthy cuisine! I have never had anything from the menu that didn’t excite my tastebuds. When I went last week for lunch I had the Samana BBQ Wrap which had tempeh and house-made BBQ sauce. Ladies and gentleman, Café Samana does not skimp on the goods of tempeh. It was a great portion size that kept me full for a very, very long time. For my side, I had the Samana Slaw made with bean sprouts which complimented my wrap well. It’s important to note their hours! You can always count on lunch(besides Sundays when they are closed). Hours only extend to 9pm for dinner on Fridays. Go try this innovative fresh menu of greatness, errrbody!

By all means I’ll be going back. Café Samana is a hole in the wall vegan friendly spot with welcoming staff and sustainable practices. The menu mentioned how they actively avoid waste and buy non-food items from second hand sources when they can. I ordered the Cherise with the daily side special, coconut baby bok choi. An outstanding lunch for around $ 10+tip. I’d seen a pictures of the falafel, but it wasn’t available that day. I’m hoping to order it next time ’round.

Sometimes I worry about vising a place that is notorious for receiving 5 stars because then my expectations are so high! Café Samana was a lovely restaurant, but I was a tiny bit disappointed with my dish. We ordered the artichoke dip, chicken salad wrap, black bean burger, and the special– a falafel. The artichoke dip was creamy and fantastic. It went very nicely with the pita, mushrooms, and carrots. My black bean burger was too mushy. Honestly, I think there was just too much patty! The flavors and onions that accompanied it were a bit lost in the mushy-ness of the bland bean. But my tomato basil soup was lovely. I tried the chicken wrap and wasn’t really a fan… I also tried the falafel and it was incredible. Very good flavors, the tortilla was crunchy and it was a fantastic combination of textures and flavors. The service was great and I love how fresh and healthy the food is. Although I wasn’t a fan of two of the dishes, I’m sure I would love others and I’d be more than happy to give it another try.
