Café Olé is small, casual mexican restaurant located in midtown. I have visited this place twice. While I have enjoyed their food and atmosphere I have to acknowledge that service is not great. During out second visit here our waiter took forever to refill drinks, get the check and even brin silverware(Service during our first visit was outstanding). Now, when it comes to food this is a good choice if you are craving something savory, delicious and fresh. Their house salsa(served complimentary with chips) is delicious and always fresh. I have tried the street tacos and their grilled salmon. Both dishes have exceeded my expectations. They also have a good selection of tequila and margaritas.

This is a 4 star due to the good margaritas and outdoor dining. Food was good, but not great and would rate that as 3.5. The margaritas were excellent! They make their own margarita mix, which is tasty. I tried the Top Shelf margarita and would order it again. Servers were friendly. Parking was easy.

Waited way too long to even get water. I eventually asked a server to get us water and he became our server. The restaurant has wonderful margaritas. The original are better than the«top shelf». Was disappointed in the service, no one really seemed to care we were there. We ordered the cream cheese quesadilla but would not order it again, just tasted like a cream cheese spread. I ordered the quesadilla and it was not what I was expecting but didn’t taste bad. They forgot several things off of my plate. Overall very average experience. Pretty disappointed for never being here before and for this place having such a nice patio.

The service was so bad it would have been easier and less frustrating to just make the food myself. The prices were ridiculous for lunch. My friend and I split a small queso, then I had a stacked enchilada and an ice tea. My bill was $ 20… For LUNCH! I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Terrific place. From the crispy ships a delicious salsa to the delectable chicken burrito, it was a great meal. Jessie the waiter was not only informative but a genuinely nice guy and waiter to boot ! I’ll be back

Walked in & it as freezing, they said we could sit in the first room or up in another room, we said is it warmed up there, she said yes. We head up there & it’s the most awkward little side room with only a few tables, super quiet. It took a few minutes for anyone to come to our table. We ordered a couple drinks, we the guy returned he asked if we had any questions, we said we don’t even have menus. The table behind us hollered out«we don’t either or silver ware or drinks & can you do something about the a/c it’s cold.» We said agreed. The server instead argues with table about the A/C for a few minutes instead of taking care of it. We drank our drinks, & left. & will not return

Café Olé has a really great patio for Sunday brunch! I have enjoyed their sangria and margaritas! I usually get the breakfast burrito but breakfast tacos are also a great choice! From now on I will always ask for Maria! She is a hoot and a half! We wanted a cornarita. It’s not on the menu but she went a head and created it for us! She really is the reason we will continue to return. We really love the sidewalk table! We need to be separated from the rest of the public.

Café Olé is so quaint and scrumptious. The waitstaff makes you feel like you are a part of their family. Seriously, you go a few times and they know you and what you like. For me that is the originally queso(in my opinion if you don’t go original you aren’t experiencing Café Olé) and a house marg with salt. I literally could be 100% satisfied with chips, queso and a marg. However, if you are going to do a full meal, consider this your warning – pace yourself of the chips and dips or you won’t be able to put any of that delish meal away! Not only do I love the food and waitstaff, I also love the location. Café Olé is tucked away on brookside. They have the most adorable patio with heaters and a real fireplace – the only thing I wish they had were blankets so on a chilly day I could still enjoy the patio!

If I were on death row, and my execution time was coming, and the warden approached me to take my last meal request, I would ask for Café Olé’s cream cheese queso. I don’t even think I would want anything else to eat; just a giant vat of this exquisite queso with chips. Oh! And a nice, big margarita.

Great food(I got Mexican pizza and a HUGE portion of guacamole)! The chips leave a little something to be desired.. tastes like they were from a package. I had an illusive traveler grapefruit beer which was suggested by the server and it was fabulous! You can’t beat the service here.

I’ve eaten at this place for over a decade. I love how it’s tucked away and has a nice patio. I’ve always gotten the stacked blue corn enchiladas, my fav. I don’t care for their tortilla chips; they remind me of Mama Lupe chips from Walmart. I recently had the Tres Leches Cake. Ahhhhhmazing! I’m not a cake or cupcake person and this blew me away. Apparently it’s made from scratch every day or every other day. This is definitely going to be a must have every time I visit from here on out.

After 5 years in Tulsa, I’ve finally found my favorite Mexican restaurant. I’ve tried all the local haunts that everyone directed me to, and for the most part they were all good, but not great like the Mexican food I loved back in OKC. Café Olé changed that. I especially recommend going on Tuesday nights where you can sample several small plates for $ 2 a piece. Our waiter even told me about the $ 1 Blue Moon special on Tuesdays after I ordered another beer. He easily could have let me order something more expensive and I appreciated the gesture. The salsa is so fresh and so clean. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I had heard that they changed ownership about 2 years ago and since my last review, but I still never got around to giving it another try. Today I did and I was glad that I did. 100 percent better. The service was great and the food was fantastic. The olé queso is delicious. The chips and salsa are fresh. I had the steak street tacos with black beans and rice. It was fantastic. Great job café olé you earned s customer back!

Café Olé has it all for me… a legit outdoor patio, inside AC, kid-friendly environment with a solid kid’s menu, one of the best steak fajitas plate I’ve ever had… ANDJALAPEÑOINFUSEDTEQUILA! Yep. Café Olé is a Tulsa favorite for me. Start with the house queso; it has great consistency of not too water-ee. The complimentary salsa has just the right amount of kick. I devoured 2 helpings! The steak fajita plate is just beautiful. The meat was obviously marinated in pure flavor goodness and everything tasted fresh. Something I’ve never seen before is the cheese came out melted on the plate: AMAZING concept and now I’ll be a snob about it… cold shredded cheese for building fajitas is so 2014 now. I had the house marg and asked for the jalapeño infused tequila instead of the standard… omg. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a marg. Service was so kind and fast. PLUS they genuinely cared about how you like your meal/drinks. Café Olé drops the mic in some of my all time favorite Mexican food!

I went for their brunch. Sat on the patio as well. The weather was nice so it was only right. I got one of their famous Café Olé margaritas. It was strong enough, especially with it being topped off with a shot of Grand Marnier. Also, got a Sangria. It was pretty good as well. It goes with the food they serve. I recommend that over any drink with their brunch. I got the Olé Hash. Red potatoes, two poached eggs, hollandaise & chorizo sausage. Real good. I’m starting to like poached eggs more & more(had some about 3 weeks ago as well). Their potatoes were good, seasoned well. I added Sriracha & it took it up a notch. Had red peppers & onions(which it didn’t state on the menu because I don’t like onions) but it was tolerable.

I love Mexican and Tex-Mex food. I love eating organic and healthy, but this was terrible. When eating healthy, food can still be flavorful(flavorful not meaning spicy hot). This was the equivalent to when I went on a fat-free diet, eating non-fat cheese, 98% fat-free meat and whole wheat tortillas. Both my friend and I tried everything off of each other’s plate for brunch, my favorite meal, and the best thing, among the salsa, chips, guacamole and both of our plates was the buttered bread. I was incredibly disappointed, more or so angry I did not go to a better place for Mexican food.

Tucked away off Briokside you’ll find some yummy southwest/Texmex/Mexican food. The queso is really good but totally unique-a thick blend of cream cheese, peppers and I’m sure some other fun things, it’s served warm and is best with some sliced jalapeños! We shared the tortas cubano, a mixture of shredded pork and beef, topped with chihuahua cheese and guacamole on a hearty bun. Very flavorful! We also shared a pork quesadilla. Perfect amount of cheese and the pork was cooked nicely and flavorful. The chips, salsa and guacamole are all good but not my favorite in town. The patio is a nice atmosphere, can be a little cramped when full but they have heaters, fans, a fireplace and plastic curtains they can close so it’s always comfortable. This was my third or fourth visit and the staff is always very nice and quick to help. Give Café Olé a try!

Worth three stars because their outdoor patio/fireplace is awesome. Their food and drinks are ok. Chips & salsa are good accompaniment to drinks. The sangria was tasty. I ordered the vegetarian tamale app. They were ok, flavor was good, portion was good, but I wouldn’t recommend the chipotle mushroom sauce. Will enjoy the patio space again!
