Wow. What a surprise this place was! I had never really noticed or heard of Bodean before until a friend asked to meet up there. The charcuterie is easily the best in town. All of the staff were so pleasant and attentive. I cannot wait to go back!

We picked this Resturant on a whim when looking for a seafood Resturant in Tulsa. We were a little apprehensive when we arrived and saw the location. To our surprise this place was fantastic! Our waiter was so friendly and on point with service. The food was amazing!!! We had escargot, salads, scallops, sea bass and dessert. The pear salad was so different and delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked and they were willing to substitute items on the dish as well, no problem. The berries with fresh whipped cream, espresso and Honig late harvest wine were the perfect finish. When the bill came we were shocked at the price. What a great value!!! This meal would have been double anywhere else.

Bodeans has it all! Great food. Great service and great atmosphere. Go there often. Their market is fresh and delicious. They fly in their seafood daily. Delicious! Try the clam chowder or the lobster bisque. Both are favorites of mine. The ambience is more sedate than other favorites but that works when it’s what you’re looking for.

Had date night here tonight. We had reservations and we were seated very quickly upon arrival. We were seated in a cozy, elevated half booth. My husband had a martini that was fabulous and I ordered a great glass of wine. We started with clam chowder for my husband and a salad for me. The clam chowder is always wonderful and my salad was far above what is usually served at other restaurants. We then moved on to my husband ordering the king crab legs and lobster for myself. We had risotto with both. My husband’s crab legs were perfect. My lobster was not quite done and the customer service we received to make it right was far above any I have received at any other restaurant. The manager was wonderful and our server, Tammy, was perfect. The dinner was made right and it tasted wonderful. We love the food and service here and had a wonderful evening.

Amazing! We haven’t been here in a couple of years and now I can’t understand why. Bodean’s is so delicious and a class act. They have been around a long time. Used to be across the street. We went there tonight-they had live music and my friend said they do every Sunday night. It was quite enjoyable. I am doing the Whole 30 way of eating right now so I am just eating meat and seafood, veggies and fruit for 30 days, so I didn’t get what i would usually get, but the server was so helpful and the kitchen pretty much made it to order. I had a field salad with balsamic dressing-it was so so good. Then I had the Chilean sea bass. It was featured with bread and cheese, but since i am not eating that way right now they made it without and it also came with shrimp and veggies. So flavorful. Didn’t taste like I was missing a thing! So my husband got the shrimp and lobster bisque(something that I usually order!) and The Chef’s Tasting menu special for the evening-which was 3 courses. The first course was a beautiful crab appetizer and the main course was scallops. I did taste the scallops and they were oh so good. Then he got a really yummy looking brownie thing for dessert. So did my friend. They said it was incredible! The brownie was like bitter chocolate in a good way. The server was so attentive. I really appreciated her! I should have gotten her name! The atmosphere is upscale, so pretty. They even had a gorgeous bouquet in the restroom-I had to take a picture of it! Just extra nice touches. We will definitely be coming back really soon-probably in about 2 weeks after my Whole 30 is over so I can get the bisque and dessert!

Food, ambiance, options and service, all well done. We were lucky to be seated next to a lively couple, who made the evening that much more enjoyable. Started with cocktails(gin martinis) and garlic wine mussels. Shared the swordfish and Oregon King Salmon, with Pinot Gris and a Pinot Noir, respectably. Sauces and add-ons on the side. Sides between the two dishes included garlic smashed potatoes, asparagus, char grilled broccoli and risotto with olive or pesto topping for the risotto, and dill champagne cream or lemon piccata capper butter sauce on the side for the fish. Everything very good and up to snuff. Server was knowledgable but not the friendliest. Had my first experience with escargot, thanks to the couple next to us, pleasantly surprised with the experience. We shall return, great experience. Finished the night at the bar watching OSU!

Okay… So I am THAT guy that goes to a great seafood restaurant and orders a steak. Yup, I don’t eat seafood so my review basically is based upon the service and that wonderful piece of beef at an all seafood restaurant. We celebrated a birthday and my dining partners were all seafood lovers. From the look on their faces and the empty plates I can assure you that they had a great meal. The service was fantastic and it is so refreshing when the server gives you gratitude for allowing her to serve you. You really don’t get that these days in most restaurants. The server(I think her name was Anne) gets it and by the way she does her job is an asset to the establishment. So, all in all, this place is well worth the price. Give it a whirl!

I got the Dungeness Crab Crakes. They were good. The serrano coulis made it even better, a creamy sauce that goes well with the crab cakes. The waitress said she puts it on everything & I could see why! Instead of the fries, I got the garlic mashed potatoes. Incredible. Went well with the entrée. I recommend that over fries any day!

Would have been five star, but the service was a bit slow at the beginning. Otherwise, excellent meal. And I mean excellent. Truly. My swordfish was remarkable. I was very impressed. My wife’s halibut crust was a tad salty, for her. For my taste it was fine. Sides were well prepared, oyster shucks were delicious, and the free coffee cake to go was just an awesome touch. Only critique food-wise I’d give were the starting salads. My caesar was a bit disappointing(especially after the waiter recommended it over the bisque), and my wife’s salad was just ok. I’ll be back without question. It’s classy, you’re treated well, and the food it top-notch. Also of note, there is a separate lounge section. I love that. Every upper end restaurant should have one of these.

We went here for Valentine’s and were pretty impressed. You can tell the seafood is fresh and good quality. I know because I am from Texas and my dad is a commercial fisher and crabber. All I ate growing up was seafood that my dad caught. I had a half dozen of the oysters, the foie gras with lingonberry jam and the scallops for my entrée. My boyfriend had the seabass. He loved his and it was extremely soft and flaky. My scallops were cooked perfectly but I didn’t really understand why there was a broth on the plate with the scallops. The scallops are good without broth. It made it more bland to me. But this could be just my opinion. The foie gras was good but didn’t impress me. I don’t think lingonberry is a good pairing with the foie gras as it has a somewhat bitter taste. Besides that, the restaurant is a hidden gem within Tulsa and the service was great too.

Went back to Bodean’s for Valentine’s Day after our last awesome meal. I have to say, this time I was disappointed. This experience really showed me just how much a great server matters to a fine dining experience. All of our food was wonderful – fresh, prepared properly, served at appropriate temperatures. But our server practically ruined our meal! It’s not that he did anything bad per se, it’s that he was so lackluster, inattentive, and disinterested that it made us less excited about our food. For example, he walks up(after taking drink orders) and just plainly asks us what we want to order. Makes no attempt to talk up any dishes, small talk about the occasion – NOTHING. I even had to ask him if there were any specials that night(there were). It was that way for each course of our meal. The whole meal felt kind of like ordering at a Sonic drive-in. Someone mechanically asked what we wanted. We told them. Someone else brought it out. We ate it. In fact, and maybe you had to be there for this to be funny, but after we finished our entrees, he literally walked up to our table, set the dessert menu in the middle of the table, and walked away. We heard the waiter at the table next to us(the same fabulous waiter we had on our first visit) gushing over the crème brûlée and introducing each dessert without even showing the menu. Guess what– that couple ordered dessert. We did not. On Valentine’s Day! We also didn’t get the complimentary coffeecake that is usually given to-go. Maybe because of Valentine’s day? You may think I’m being too harsh on this poor guy who didn’t actually do anything wrong, but when you’re spending $ 150+ on a special occasion dinner, you really expect and deserve a well-rounded experience with an engaging, attentive server. This meal really fell flat for me. I wish I could remember the great server’s name because I don’t think I want to go back unless I get seated in his section. If Bodean’s is interested, they can message me and I can find the receipt with the name of the bad server. Also, I think Bodean’s could use a little updating with the décor. The fish tank at the front is a cool focal point, but it could use an actual tank backdrop to hide the deterioration. And the furniture at the front entrance is a bit of a hodge podge for such a nice place.

TOOBIGFORITSBRITCHES ?? Imagine, if you can… Arriving at Bodeans and asking for a table for 2. And being told«I’m sorry we have no tables available». NOT«I’m sorry there will be a wait». Just got stared at as I asked if she was sure the empty tables throughout the restaurant were unavailable. She again repeated«No, we don’t have anything». Blink… blink… WOW. Just… wow. Has this restaurant decided they are so precious they can be rude, or have they simply failed to train their staff in the basics of hospitality ??? This frequent, regular customer will not be back.

First impressions. Nice décor. Excellent staff and menu selection. Seafood is fresh and first rate. Had the crab cakes which were well presented and tasty. Halibut was so delicious and risotto made right. Fresh bread and a limited wine selection but very complimentary to the menu. You must try this place. A bit pricey but the money is in the experience and great food. I will return on my next trip to Tulsa. Hats off to great dining experience!

Bodean’s is one of a few Tulsa’s high-end seafood establishments, which is a must-dine place for any seafood aficionado. Expect a pricey, yet very satisfying dish prepared out of high-quality ingredients. I’ve had a pleasure of eating at this establishment for at least five years now and have never left disappointed. The interior of the restaurant offers a contemporary, and dimly-lit intimate dining environment, which makes it perfect for couples on a date night, or even small groups. The service is simply impeccable! Reservations recommended.

My husband(Dustin E.) did a great job reviewing this restaurant and didn’t leave me much left to say lol. I will agree on the amazing, attentive service of the staff — it was great! Attentive without being clingy, which is what I like in a server. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu, and answered all of our questions. We asked about the pricing on the fresh fish selection(King Salmon, Walleye, a type of Swordfish, and Caribbean Kingclip) and he gave us full descriptions. I decided on the Walleye(which was described as similar to sea bass) and my husband ordered the Caribbean Kingclip. I like a more firm fish, and my husband likes his fish a little soft. We ended up with perfect selections thanks to our server. The Werther’s Originals infused cotton candy was amazing!!! And it wasn’t on the menu, so we almost missed it. Life changing, i’ll just say that. I’m drooling thinking about it… yum! Great place for a date, or a casual gathering of friends. We dressed up for our anniversary but I saw several people in jeans. We will definitely be back!
