This is a great hole in the wall Mediterranean joint. I had the Mediterranean plates, the gyro meat was delicious as was the cabbage roll and the hummus. Prices were good, will definitely be back.

This is a tasty little Mediterranean restaurant that is family owned. I was impressed with both the food and the hospitality. I will definitely return next time I’m in town.

This is by far my favorite place to eat at when I’m in Tulsa. It beats any of those new places downtown. It’s authentic and family owned. The décor isn’t fancy but who cares when the food is so good. It is VERY casual and good for groups. Sometimes I’d like them to be open a little later but that’s ok.

I wish there’s a zero star. Service is very bad, the waiter spends too much time doing nothing. food tastes terrible, it’s even much worse than a gyro food truck I tried before. Why would it still have almost four stars.

When I first moved to Tulsa in 2008 I lived down the road in a small apartment and this was literally the first place I ever ate at in Tulsa. I’ve been coming here for the Gyro’s ever since. The family owned restaurant is as good as it gets for a small local mediterranean place and I keep coming here even 7 years later and now live as South Tulsa as one can get *BFEBIXBY*…everytime I come to the in-laws we swing in here and have a quick lunch. Homeade, fresh, and great hospitality!

Excellent vegetarian Mediterranean platter! All cooked fresh to order for about 10 bucks! I try to go here whenever I’m over in that part of town — which fortunately isn’t often enough. If I remember correctly, they also have a non-vegetarian version as well, but I haven’t tried that. This place will definitely take care of your Med-Food craving. You order at the counter, not table service. Good stuff!

This was my second time here with a friend. I had not had much experience with Mediterranean food before. I ordered a plate that came with hummus, pits bread type stuff, gyro meat and some other stuff I cant remember. It was a lot of food for a reasonable price. I also ordered an Iced T, which was god awful. The service was nice and friendly and the restaurant was clean. It was a little dead though. We were here at the height of lunch hour. A table of 4 men were waiting for take out orders and another table with a single man was just chilling after finishing his meal. I hate the word meal by the way. I always think of meal worms and science class. Yuck. Anyhow, this place is A-OK with me and I will come back. I am not sure how often it will be my suggestion or choice for dining as I don’t get a hankering for Mediterranean food all that often.

i was actually very hesitant to try this place because of the bad reviews but was surprised on how delicious it was. The Mediterranean plate had so much food and for a great price. I loved how they gave tabouli, dolma, cabbage roll, hummus, pita and gyro for $ 9.99. The gyro was not chewy at all and the flavor was really good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good gyro.

Ordered take out from here for dinner. Not busy at all when I went in. I was expecting a quick order and then out the door, but this wasn’t the case. Surprisingly, what I ordered wasn’t premade and everything was grilled to order. Schwarma was tasty. Kebob combo platter was great. Lots of rice and a good sized helping of both the ground beef and chicken, both of which were flavorful. Cabbage rolls and dolmas are also fantastic. A bit on the pricey side though.

I was excited to try this place but was sadly underwhelmed. They kabob plate looked tasty but at 15.99 I was surprised at the low quality of the meat. The flavor wasn’t bad, it was just so chewy! The tabouli wasn’t my cup of tea… too much parsley and not enough wheat or veggies. And the hummus barely reached grocery store quality. If it were cheaper, I might go again for the convenience, but at this rate, I won’t be a regular here.

The food was great, unfortunately the family in the back I could hear yelling and arguing made the environment less than desirable. Not to mention I could actually see the person preparing my food lick his finger. Won’t be back.

Surprisingly fantastic hole in the wall! The Mediterranean platter is enough food for two meals and is all delicious. The cabbage rolls are the best I’ve ever had. The dolmas are also delicious — not from a can like at many restaurants in town. The gyros are good, but really the cabbage rolls are the reason to go here. Honestly, it’s all delicious and served quickly with a smile. I’ll be a regular.

Never much cared for this place. It seems they pre-make most of their entrées and load them into the refrigerator. The tabouli is very dry, and the pita bread is almost always stale, maybe because they cut it in advance of the lunch rush. It leaves much to be desired though I have a couple of friends that seem to like it a lot.

I was in Tulsa on business and the taxi driver recommended this place(walking distance from my hotel). I got the sampler plate. The gyro meat was the most flavorful I had ever had(I go to lots of Mediterranean restaurants), the hummus was fresh, the tabouli was loaded with fresh parsley, and the stuffed cabbage had the most delicate filling. All was wonderful. If I lived in Tulsa, I would be a regular. The owners are from Iran.

I ate here for the first time a few days ago. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken zareshk, tabouli, and hummus. My father had the mediterranean sampler plate that came with a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the food overall except for the tabouli. I’ve definitely had better. It was a weird mix of ingredients and texture. I did not realize that there is no server, which is really strange to me. I’ve never experienced that before. We walked in and stood there for a while not knowing if we seat ourselves or not. Throughout our meal nobody came to check on us and when we needed a refill on our drinks or a to-go box, we had to go up to the counter and ask for it. When we were ready to leave, we sat there for about 15 minutes waiting for our check and finally gave up and went up to the counter where we realized that there is no check, you just go up to the counter to pay when you’re done. That would have been nice to know. We weren’t even sure if we should tip or not, since we had no server. I did anyway, but had mixed feeling about that. Twice while we were eating, the room filled up with smoke from the kitchen and a customer finally had to go and open the entrance door to give us some relief. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dining in but I did enjoy the food and next time will call in my order and pick it up in their drive through.

I had a friend take me here and he recommended the lamb shank. It came out in a massive pot with a lot of broth around it.(I’m a huge newbie to Mediterranean food, so I didn’t know what to expect) It looked good! It also came with a very large portion of rice. My friend instructed me to pick the meat off and put it in the rice, and add some broth. The meat was almost falling off the bone, it was so tender and wonderful. The broth and meat had very good flavor, but I did want to add a little salt. The price was pretty reasonable($ 15) considering how much we got. I would love to come back and try more of their wonderful food!

The falafel sandwich was great. It was cooked just right, not too fried. The dining area smelled good from the cooking in the kitchen. I liked the décor.

I really enjoy this place. It’s small, but that only adds to the family feel. The hummus is VERY good, and I always order extra pitas for it. We went in during World Cup and sat and watched it with what seemed like every male member of the family. The service didn’t suffer even then. Nice atmosphere, great service, and a good variety of food brings me back.

I really wanted to like this mom & pop, but it was just so average. The falafel was soggy and completely fell apart inside the pita. The seasoning wasn’t bad, but couldnt pull the sandwich through unfortunately. Next, the gyro sandwich. The meat was a bit on the dry side. It also didn’t help that the taziki sauce was sparse and lacked a kick of flavor. The service was really great. But overall I was disappointed with the food. I can’t say I’m too surprised though. Tulsa isn’t exactly the mecca of cultural foods.

Ali Baba’s used to be called«Market Deli.» They just got a new sign, which will hopefully attract more customers. I don’t eat meat, so I love mediterranean restaurants since they have a wide array of vegetarian food. Ali Baba’s is no exception. They have THEBEST falafel I have ever had. Ever. My fiancé does eat meat, and he likes to go there for the gyros. The gentleman and his wife that run the restaurant are always nice and friendly. They have a lot of other things on the menu that look(they have pics on the menu) and sound good. We have yet to try any of those things. I just can’t get enough of the falafel. If you enjoy good mediterranean, or if you are in the area. Definitely give Ali Baba’s a shot because I think it will surprise you!
