Dropped by real quick on a recent trip up North. We popped in to get some frosty mugs of A&W root beer. The service was pleasant, the place was a bit dingy clean-​wise, but the root beer was tasty and served in a great ice cold frosty mug. The food itself was pretty blah and not much to speak of.
I’ll stop by again for a root beer, but not much else.

Poor service I had went through drive-​through with my family to order some food one burger was wrong the other burger had a hair I called that night no answer I called the next morning the manager on duty was more than willing to replace my order I went that evening and got assisted by another manager and she had the worst customer service ever had an issue replacing my order and didn’t do anything about it I called the owner’s office they said they would go ahead and refund me I get to coupons later in the mail after speaking to them about getting my cashback they later said they needed proof of my purchase after I had offered to take my burgers with me and email them my receipt and they said it was not necessary from the office and restaurant, they said it would be okay to throw the burgers away last time I visit I now see A&W are out for the money not for customer service

Original, old-​fashioned A&W root beer!
Real cane sugar root beer made there served in cold glass mugs. Super good, just like when we were kids. Wish all of the A & W’s were like this one.
Super nice employees. We were told that the owner has 6 A&W restaurants in the area. Thanks for keeping it authentic

Dude, I used to go here when it was a drive in. This food is the bestest! And the Root Beer? Its like ambrosia. The nectar of the gods! And they have that sweet ride that cruises around Visalia and Tulare, I bet they meet lots of women that way!

Just dined here at 8:30pm and I have got to say, amazing service. For a place that is just about to close and have customers come in and make a mess for them that they just cleaned up, everyone was nice. Amazing service, amazing food. Thank you guys.

The A&W’s that are independent chains are much better than the ones that team up with KFC. The big difference: most of the independent ones have corn dogs!!! The ones with KFC have corn dog bites — just not the same. This location has delicious corndogs. Golden, crunchy deliciousness!
My husband was working down in Tulare but will now be transferred somewhere else so sadly, I won’t be returning to this A&W, but the employees here were always great. It was nice to stop and grab food here quickly when visiting him and his empty fridge.
Goodbye, Tulare A&W — keep up the good work! And the delicious root beer is unbeatable!!! Doing it right with those floats!

I love the fresh root beer on tap here. Pretty great prices too. I can stuff my self for 5 bucks here, easy. Every time I go there only like one other person there, which makes me a little sad since I’ve been going there since I was munchkin sized. The root beer alone is worth the trip.
