Nelson Concrete Mason Design

I found this company through ThumbTack, I did not hire them because at the time of the quote their price was more than I could afford at this particular time. (I was going to revisit the issue in about 7 weeks.)
Today I received a response to my having declined their quote. The response was quite simply «Fuck You».
This is not the type of company that I would do business with, and I would recommend that you do not do so either.

I hired Nelson Concrete Mason Design last summer to tear out my old driveway and walkways and install new ones. I paid extra for them to create patterns in the walkways, and stain parts of the driveway and walkways. I also paid extra to have rebar put in under the driveway to reinforce it.
First off, they left equipment here for weeks after they were done, including a huge dumptruck on our small residential street. In my yard they left a couple of wheelbarrows and some other tools. By then time they finally responded to my calls to clean out their stuff, the stain on the driveway had already become to come off where the cars had driven on it. AT my request, they touched up the stain, but it’s continued coming off as cars come in and out of the driveway.
Although they did remove their tools, they left a big pile of mixed concrete waste/​leftovers in my backyard. And I am beginning to seriously doubt they installed the rebar, as after less than one year, I already have a crack appearing in my driveway.
Although at first glance my driveway and walkways look nice, and are certainly an improvement over the disaster it was before, these guys did a sloppy job, didn’t clean up after themselves, and they cost me a LOT of money (over $ 9000 total).
Do yourself a favor, and find another contractor if you need concrete work done.
