This place I consider one of the top Mexican restaurants in Seattle hands down, their food has so much quality and is delicious! My server’s name was Evan and he was one of the best server’s I have dealt with so far! He was extremely friendly, had a great sense of humor, and started off great conversations. He also checked in with us frequently to make sure we are doing okay, and he loved my Kyrie Irving shirt! Thanks for the great experience at Moctezuma’s Evan! I’ll definitely be back!

After a less than wonderful experience, the manager was kind enough to come over and chat with me to understand why I was unhappy. Thank you for listening and caring.

Pricey. But worth it. Everything we got was very very good. The Mexican chop salad is the only thing that was slightly lacking. My mom liked it but said she wouldn’t call it amazing. I had the lamb shank tacos and I would definitely call that AMAZING. My dad got the surf and turf and also loved it. So much excellent food! Jalapeño margaritas!!! The best.

One of my friends has been recommending this place to me for quite some time. Today, my husband, my son, and I went there for lunch. We were greeted by very friendly staff, seated right away since it was a little slow, and had our orders taken pretty quickly. The food came out pretty quickly, and the portions were generous. We didn’t have any cocktails this visit, so I can’t review that… However, the food was good. Tasty, but not stellar. I’d be happy to go back there again if I’m at the mall, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to visit.

Like all business, it starts from the top. Must say, the evening front of the house manager is nothing short of excellence. He goes around to make sure your experiencing nothing but the best. Can’t say enough the margaritas are outstanding the food is mouth watering delicious. Over all the atmosphere is one to experience. Highly recommend the flaming fajitas and the margaritas made from scratch

Last time I wrote a review, I gave them 3 stars primarily for the service since it was inconsistent. Some days it was great, and other days it was not. However for the past couple of times I’ve been fairly impressed! Especially the last time, we were helped my Evan. Even though his section got fairly busy, he always made sure to check up on us to make sure everything was good and asked if we wanted fresher chips which we don’t get much. Super friendly and very attentive! Definitely ask for him because whenever we come in during busy hours, we sometimes feel ignored): The food is still sooOoOoo good! It’s yummy every time! My new favourite is the Mexican city tacos :)

Let the smell and the crowd lead you to this spot. This place came as a recommendation. We were tasked with airport transportation duties for the day and we knew that Tukwila will most likely be our dinner location. This restaurant offers the perks of convenient location, extensive list of tequilas, and well-presented Mexican cuisine. Though the restaurant has large seating areas that can comfortably sit huge crowds, the immense popularity still caused at least a 35 minute wait. We opted for the bar where it is self-seat. Service was immediate and we were provided bar and food menus. The first few pages of the cocktail menu were different types of tequilas each one with a brief explanation. The food menu was extensive with multiple options for most dishes. I started with the 1944 Mai Tai. The blend of cruzan rum, almond syrup and orange curaçao was my perfect start to the meal. I opted for the chicken Las Fajitas. Condiments included were sour cream, rice, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo and lime wedge. The fajitas were served sizzling on their signature cast iron tower. The grand presentation was only the beginning. The entrée had a generously served with warm corn or flour tortillas. I’ve had over seasoned fajitas before and this had the right amount of spice. Tender pieces of chicken, onions, bell peppers, and grilled lime halves wrapped in a warm corn tortillas definitely hit the spot. Service was consistent throughout our meal and water glasses were never empty. Though it is a drive from my home location, I would choose to return to this spot when I am craving Mexican cuisine.

Me and my coworkers sadly we had to throw a good bye party dinner for one of our team members at the last minute and none of the restaurants in the Southcenter area would reserve a table for our 15 people. But luckily thought of Priss a manager that we had seen a few times in our previews drinks nights, we decide to get a hold of him and even though he didn’t work that night some how he made it happen for us so we got to enjoy some of the best Drinks in the area and some delicious food with our Coworker one last time before she moves to N Carolina… The margaritas are yummy, I get the Mango blended kind and man you have to try the Chile Relleno plate is Bomb. And let’s not forget about the friendly and welcoming staff specially Priss he’s the best :)

This was our first time here. The food is really good and the service was excellent. Our server Evan was great. I recommend coming here. Great drinks too.

Went in on a sunny Friday noontime lunch. I was alone and there was plenty of seating in the bar and a few tables outside. I sat on the patio, it was nice and the restaurant’s décor is pleasant. It is loud, but the loud music is good. I ordered the carne assada, it came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Cooked medium rare. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I had a nice meal with and iced tea for $ 21(w tip). It was pleasant and tasted good. My mind was not blown, but i wasn’t expecting it to be. Just good Mexican food, hand made tortillas, and loud music. I did not take off a star for the loud music, it was to be expected after reading the reviews. I save the 5th star for having one aspect of a solid place going above and beyond.

I thought this place was better than a whole lot of Mexican places I’ve been to down south. The location is convenient, on the outside of the mall. The service was friendly and quick. I thought the flavors were nice an bold and they were very generous on the food portions for the price, presentation and ambiance.

I expected more considering the number of stars. :) Biggest issue was the kids chicken came out COLD –not warm but cold. I would expect the chefs to especially check on the kids meals to be sure they are safe — guess not. No apology — just taken back and heated up while we all had to wait with our food getting cold. You would think they could have given the kids a dessert or something Nah — didn’t really care. The food is ok — not special but similar to other Mexican restaurants. I did not care for the Tortilla soup — I felt the chicken was too seasoned and overcooked. Like yesterdays chicken reused. Service friendly but meal came out slow over 45 minute wait and then further for the reheat of the kids.

Great spot to grab happy hour at the mall or for dinner. Food portions are huge but it’s so good. I usually love to get the skirt steak, which is bomb. They also make their flour tortillas in house. Came here with friends and one of them ordered the dish that they flambé at the table, which was really cool to watch. I recommend their margarita specials with a side of flavor that you can choose(that hangs off the side of the glass). Totally would recommend this place!

I’ve been to this place once before and that time was a solid 5⁄5. Although this time, it was below par. The lady that sat us down, was really nice and outgoing. I believe her name was Yuli. I asked for some lemons for my water when the waiter came around, and never got em. He was barely around for the entire time. The food was pretty good, but it wasn’t anything special. And to add on, my friend found a toothpick inside of his taquito. Pretty sure that wasn’t supposed to be in there.

This place is great. Although your first reaction might be it’s located at the mall and the parking can be a pain it’s worth the trouble if you are in the area. There can be a wait, but the bar is you best bet for seating if you are of age. They set up a really nice line system for the next available table instead of running to beat out the other guy for an open seat. The staff is super friendly and look like they enjoy being there which make it for an enjoyable evening. Like most Mexican restaurants they start you off with some chips and salsa which are great. The salsa is soo fresh you can tell it’s been made there. They also make all their own flour tortillas too! Bonus! We went for happy hour. To drink I got the grilled pineapple mojito which was super refreshing and yummy. I ordered the grilled Mexican corn and the chilaquiles with verde sauce. Sooo much food for the price and great taste. We will definitely be coming back to sit on the patio during the summer time.

I’ve only been here for their drinks(3 stars) and dessert(4 stars) and the service(4 stars). So… my friends and I ended up here after my friend decided to challenge me on a tequila contest. As I don’t say no… I accepted… We did two tequila flights, the Patron and Don Julio and came with three shots(almost full shots) and some limes. Also did their huge margarita with a blackberry floater. their margarita wasn’t tart and was mainly sweet. so sweet we took the little bottle that had the floater out. It was easy to drink but probably attributed to my hangover the next day. The service was great, she was very attentive and got us our orders quickly. Also, their churros… they are really good, I recommend

Moctezuma is one of the best Mexican restaurants in greater Seattle, upscale atmosphere, and delicious food, perfect place for date night, lunch, dinner or happy hour, conveniently located in Tukwilla’s Westfield Southcenter Mall. Watch them make homemade tortillas from scratch, sit next to a fireplace, try their signature Flamin’ Tequila Fajitas, enjoy awesome cocktails, Margaritas to Clase Azul Extra Añejo Ultra. Yes, you can probably get very good Mexican food from a hole-in-the-wall, but you will be missing out what a great restaurant is all about, outstanding service, exquisite food, great music, and mouthwatering desserts.

I’ve been here many times and each time the food tastes better and the service gets better. However recently something unfortunate happened. As each table gets their food(the ones that arrived way before us) and we already finished 1 bowl of chip and dip, our food hasn’t arrived and this has been nearly an hour later. The waiter casually comes up and tells us he lost our order check. And had to grab our orders again! Each of us had to clarify with eachother after he left, did he even apologize/say sorry for this accident happening to us? He didn’t! Which was rude and unbelievable. After we finished our second bowl of chips, the food finally arrived. Some of our food were cold as well. This is nearly 2 hours later. We didn’t even bother to complain about the food and the waiting. The last thing we wanted to do was wait even longer to get like some discount off our check. We were hoping he’ll apologize at the end for the wait or thanking us for our patience. He just acted casual and like this never happened. The little things you do can help make a customer return and satisfied. You guys can say I’m anal for complaining about this little issue but working in this industry before, this situation could’ve been handled more professionally.

After the worst service experience I’ve ever had, we decided to give this place another shot almost a year later. First things first, we always enjoyed the food — but the service was awful. This time, it couldn’t of been better! Our sever was Jose and he did an amazing job all night. He was attentive, checked in with us multiple times, and kept our drinks full throughout the meal. For the food — the chips and salsa is , the drinks are strong, the poblano enchiladas were a little dry in the middle.

This place is bomb! All you could really ask for in a Chain Americanized Mexican Restaurant. Great Food, Amazing Drinks AND Fresh handmade tortillas. Great appetizers but be careful, the jalapeño poppers are so freaking hot it’s insane! I could barely eat them. They make the best shrimp dishes here, the shrimp are always cooked perfectly and extremely flavorful. The bacon wrapped prawns are to die for. The carne asada is really awesome as well. The fajitas here are the best I’ve ever had, I strongly suggest getting the combo so you try a little of eveything. Also when you get the Combo Fajitas they flame them at your table or you can request Flaming Tequila as an add on. Wash it all down with a Watermelon Margarita… soooo good! Service is spotty. I’ve had really great service here and some not so much but never terrible. There is usually always a wait and they do not take reservations for parties less than 6 so be prepared to wait. They make the best shrimp dishes here, the shrimp are always cooked perfectly and extremely flavorful. The bacon wrapped prawns are to die for.
