I wish I didn’t like their Koobideh Kabab!!! I wouldn’t go there. I use to buy all my stuff I needed from them. Now I go less and less. Noticed few things that is close to slavery. Specially older guy I guess the owner. Treat employees like Real slaves. Talk bad to them on front of costumers. I really wish I could talk to him or Film him. I left the store with a really sad mood after seeing him talking the the employeeand yelling at him to move and don’t block the costumer which it was me. He was just organizing the fruits nothing todo with me. I might not go back there. Since I want to eat my bbq in a good mood.

It’s a quaint little Middle-Eastern market. I love the quality of the meats here always fresh, and frequent coming in when I want to do barbecue or any type of meal with meat. It’s always clean, and the quality of the products are great. They have a variety of cheeses, yogurts, etc. I love that the store is always clean no matter when you go. My mother and I are extra picky about how the meats are handled, and the workers always put gloves on before picking our pieces for us out of curtesy. I think that’s nice that they’re willing to go the extra step for us, despite it taking more time for them to get through with us. This is a place that will continue to get my business because of the way they handle their customer service, not to mention they put a lot of effort into the quality of the products they sell.

This market’s meat has gone down hill. I used to bbq every other weekend now when buying bbq the meat smells and looks old. His chicken used to be amazing, now it looks off colored and has a real bad odor. It’s simply not what it used to be. The old dude with glasses needs to treat his employees with respect, I have seen him yell at his employees twice. One of the times I wanted to say some thing. As he was really getting out of line. In addition, this market is REALLY overpriced on almost everything. I am that type of shopper that doesn’t pay attention to prices, but this place is some thing else.

This market is truly amazing! It’s one of the cleanest markets around town. I love going there, because it is never too crowded and you always find what you need. Fantastic prices on fresh produce. I highly recommend this place for all of your grocery needs as everything is garden-fresh and prices are reasonable. I enjoy doing my daily shopping from there.

I love this place. They have fresh meat, very-well marinated, very delicious, natural taste. Open-minded people from customer service, ready to assist you during the entire visit. A great variety of vegetables! Strongly recommend this place if you want to taste natural food.

This place has some mixed reviews. Some reviews and feedback left is competition or someone just looKing to do damage to the business. Every business has room for improvement. Customer service has room for improvement. But all in all its a great market they have a nice selection of BBQ meat. We go on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am to get fresh barbari bread. They have a fresh selection of bread. Over all the market has a great deal of Mediterranean products, cheese, basterma, and other things. It’s a good market and prices are very fair. I don’t think you can find anything better than this place in La Crescenta and Tujunga. FYI some of the reviewers claim they speak Armenian ! it’s an Armenian market the owners are Armenian lol of course that’s what they speak. They have a great deal of American customers they deal with and I over heard them all speaking English!

The old man who might be the owner is really rude. He was yelling at his employee while there are customers all around. It was kinda busy so the wait was longer than usual. My turn came up and the same now helping bag asked me if I wanted a bag. When I said ya I didn’t expect him to put everything in «a» bag. I had 2 bags worth of groceries and he stuffed them all in one bag. A gallon of milk at about 12 pounds of BBQ meat. I also had some tomatoes and bread. The bag was so heavy I thought I dislocated my shoulder. When I got home the tomatoes were all squished on the bottom and all the meat on top. Next time I’ll remember to say 2 bags please.

I am very disappointed with this market. Have been going here for over 8 years but that’s going to change after what I encountered with the owner. I walk in the store with my puppy in the cart.(Yorkshire terrier T-cup. Very small dog) I walk to the back of the store and start getting a few things while my dog was just sitting in the cart minding his own business when I see the owner coming up to me yelling at me asking me to the get the hell out of the store right away because I am effecting his business by having a 7LB dog who is minding his own business and not making a single sound. Will never be back here again! The owner did not take control of the situation in a kindly manner! Especially because of the fact that there are no signs stating that there are no pets allowed. There is a new market down the street that has just opened right next to 7 – 11 which is so much better and cleaner.

We love this market and my husband has shopped, often weekly, here for at least 5 years. Since 2011 I have enjoyed Foothill as well. Why have I not reviewed it? No idea. I love trying the unique Armenian food items. We get our French Feta, walnut wraps, olives and dried fruits and nuts in the deli. We love their fatoush and the special jams and cookies too. The produce department staff are really helpful too. It has a parking lot and is very convenient to us. Best item ever: marinated chicken and lulu kebab meat which we eat with a cucumber salad and rice. Foothill remains a favorite local business and we love stopping in for great foods.

FFM is the best place to get marinated meat and fresh fruits, nuts, and bread. They also carry other goodies. If you want a farmers market experience, stop by FFM and experience for yourself with some healthy foods.

This market is one of the few Armenian markets I actually tolerate! The food is always fresh and the staff is fairly nice. The parking isn’t usually a problem. There may be hours that are hectic but it shouldn’t be a huge problem. They’re also in the same plaza as Petsmart! Very convenient.

I happened to arrive at the market at 830pm… they close at 9. I asked the older gentleman with glasses in the deli if he could help me b/c i wanted deli meats and cheese and it appeared like he was cleaning the slicer. He said yes. And then turned around and under his breath said something derogatory to the other female staff. I don’t look Armenian, however, I am fluent in the language. I would recommend to the deli staff — not talk smack about customers, especially when the customers understand the language. You never know these days who understands what. It’s really embarrassing for everyone in the community. I promise I won’t be as nice next time this happens. This was the 1st incident I’ve had and I’ve been going there for 1 year.

I’ve also been here many times and for some reason I still go there. They’re always rude. Specially the owners. I’ve seen them treat their employees like crap. I don’t know why they stick around. Not to mention most of their products are old and they go bad in a couple of days. I should find a new ace to shop at.

As you can tell, most of the negative reviews focus on the poor customer service, which by American standards does from time to time seem to be lacking. That said, if you want fake smiles and automatic greetings, go to Vons or Ralphs. Yes there is code switching – changing back and forth from two or more languages– and more than likely those who speak Armenian feel more welcome, while those who don’t feel left out. Does this mean they are being discriminated against? In most cases no. So, in short, if you want to make friends, visit the pound. If you want good food at very reasonable prices, this is a very good market. Sincerely, Mr. Otar

I love this store. They always have what I’m looking for, and it is always very fresh. This store is way better since the new owner took over. I have to say though… the customer service need some improvement.

I’ve shopped here numerous times over the past years, the staff has been getting more and more rude. The last straw was the checker was friendly to the person in front of me speaking Armenian & English. When I moved up she did not smile, acknowledge me in any way, told me the balance and gave me my change without saying a word. That is totally unacceptable behavior from anyone. I observed other checkers doing the same thing towards some of the other customers. Their attitude is definitely not worth any savings here, especially with the Fresh and Easy a few feet away I will give them my business & never shop here again.

Usually a friendly staff and always has all my Armenian-Market needs! I’m pretty sure i’m the reason they make 100% profit off the lavashak here. I literally spend $ 20 on my addiction a week – I have a problem but they should keep feeding it! I would love it if they had more variety in brands, some of the lavashak tends to be stale. But otherwise it’s the closest place I can get my fix. –Literally just did this market’s review based on a fruit roll… Bahaha. But really, most everything I’ve purchased here has been fresh and noms!
