I’ve been to see Dr. Yell twice for annual exams and won’t return. While I found her to be a competent medical doctor, she was arrogant in her demeanor and dismissive of my concerns. Worst of all, in a seemingly empty office with no other patients, Dr. Yell made me wait more than 30 minutes in the exam room while I could hear her chatting up her office staff outside. I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt and returned for a second visit a year later, but again I was made to wait an excessive amount of time in an office where I appeared to be the only patient. Very disrespectful.

I have to confess that I was a little apprehensive about seeing Dr. Yell solely because of her name. «Yell» is not exactly a word I want to be thinking of during one of the most uncomfortable times imaginable. As it turns out, I hadn’t had one of my «annual» exams in about four years, heh, heh. It really is something that I put off even though I know it completely necessary. I know for a fact that I am not the only person who does this, though. What most impressed me about Dr. Yell was her patience. She and her assistant went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. A lot of the time I spent there was just spent talking. I loved her. Another thing is that the some of the Neanderthal instruments used by my previous ob/gyn are not used here. Think cold, hard, clampy sort of metal objects. Ouch. I loved even more for that. The staff took all my info when I made the appointment so there was nothing I needed to fill out when I went. AND there was hardly a wait at all. If there is a such thing as being happy with your ob/gyn, this is it.
