So admittedly, I haven’t done a ton of exploring of the menu, because their wings and rice are able to keep me returning. Which is probably good for a restaurant called Wings and Rice… Combo platters come with a large side of rice(Which is in itself, a meal), however many wings you asked for, and a side of salad. Their salad might actually just be pre-bagged salad portioned into a container. Honestly, it isn’t worth the time and if you can, skip it. It’s still a really good value even if they didn’t include it. The wings are solid. I wouldn’t go so far to rate them above and beyond anywhere else, but then again, they’re good wings. Their rice however, while incredibly greasy and unhealthy, is a knockout and a far better side than fries at other comparable locations. If you haven’t gone, go there. It isn’t fancy or classy, but it’s good solid food.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this wing place. The teriyaki sauce is amazing. They don’t drown their wings in sauce to cover crappy chicken. Great sauce, great chicken. The chicken tenders are amazing white meat with perfectly cooked crispy breading. Don’t miss this hidden gem in Tucson!

As other reviewers have already captured, this is your classic«hood» spot but definitely worth the visit, especially for those on a budget. The rice, as advertised, is unlike any other fried rice I have had before. Really good — I wouldn’t go as far as to call it the best I have ever had, but definitely worth the try. I had the Garlic Parmesan and Honey Mustard wings. Again, not better the Wings on Broadway, which I think may have the best wings in the state, but these are definitely worth their price. It is a little bit out of my normal track but definitely something I am going to add to the list of places to take Uncle Willie when he comes back to Tucson!

For a simple Sunday night out for dinner, my husband and I decided to give Wings & Rice a try since we have driven by it so many times. Despite the name of the establishment, their menu offers a variety of food options, but the wings are definitely a «must try» and the best part is that they have a variety of sauce flavors for the wings. We both tried the chicken combo which came with a side of wings, Katsu and rice. It was amazing and the servings are so generous you can literally feed Japan! The staff is friendly and the place is clean with the option of dining inside or outside since they have a patio by the front entrance. This will definitely be on our go to list of dining and takeout places!

Nothing special about this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place for good wings, they just don’t do it well.

My favorite place for wings. I prefer coming these wings over all the other wing places around my house including Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop. Service is consistently good. My favorites are the honey mustard and garlic parmesan. Add their uniquely sauced fried rice and side of stir-fry vegetables and I’m set to go. Great place to get a big order when you have friends/family over and I do the daily specials to go consistently.

OMG! Best rice I have ever had in my life(I think?)…but for reals it is soooo good… I heard good things about this place so I decided to try it because I love wings and I love rice so why not go to a place that specializes in both. We got there 30 min before closing we felt bad, but we really wanted it. The girl that took our order said that at that time we have to take it to go but she was nice about it and we were find with it… we understand! We ordered 20 wings(garlic parmesan and sesame teriyaki) and basic fried rice with salad and the SAUCE! So the wings were good but nothing too special. I’ve had better… but I was happy… cause WINGS! But when I tried the rice… omgg…I don’t know how to explain it but I’ve had many fried rice in my life and this one just tasted unique. It felt greasy but not greasy at the same time… and then you add the sauce on the rice… TODIEFOR! I would totally come back just to order the rice… but I love wings so I’ll have both! YUMMMM!

I was really confused on the concept of this place by just reading their name while driving, but I was glad I took a shot. Their fried rice is one of the best I’ve had. Their wings are also quite good, but not quite my favorite. That honor goes to Wings Over Broadway. This place has some unique stuff, so I recommend it if you’re looking for something familiar but different. The service was slow the two times I’ve been here with having to wait 20+ minutes each time, otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars.

Wings and Rice is amazing. We had a party of four and one person recommended it as they had eaten there before. When we arrived the server was very friendly and seated us giving us menus and such. The menu was great, lots of choices for wing flavours and some good sides. We split a 50 order between all 4 of us with no sides and it was plenty. We had ginger soy, sesame teriyaki, spicy orange, spicy bbq and another which I don’t remember as I filled myself up on the first four. Every flavour was phenomenal, I seriously could not stop chain eating them and was so full by the end of my meal. I shall be visiting this place many times whilst I’m in America.

A disclaimer: I have never had the wings or the rice. What I HAVE had is the horseshoe, a local specialty from my hometown(Springfield, IL) that is inexplicably available here. From what I gather the owner saw it on TV; if you haven’t, it’s an open-faced sandwich with meat, french fries, and cheese sauce slathered over Texas toast. Like everything here – my wife, alas, isn’t from Springfield, so I’ve seen their other offerings – it will take a little while to arrive and, once it does, will be far more food than you bargained for. Which isn’t a bad thing. If you’re from Springfield, too, be prepared for one compromise: They use something much closer to nacho cheese than cheese sauce. But when you live 20 hours away, you take what you can get. Quiet, pleasant atmosphere, huge portions, a nice patio, and – I guess – wings and rice. Not a bad deal all-around.

Alright so this place is just a gem on TUESDAY60CENTWINGNIGHTS!!! Make sure you get the spicy garlic parmesan wings and the japanese rice with the special/secret sauce! The sauce is crucial and key for this experience. While the rice in and of itself is pretty good, the sauce(hibatchi) takes it up to a new level. I even requested to have an extra sauce for the sheer massive quantity of rice which came with my meal. The tangy and zesty flavor goes so well with the rice, it like tastebuds exploding in your mouth! Now for the wings, I had ordered the spicy garlic parm and the cajun dry rub flavors. While I was not too impressed with the cajun wings, which lacked flavor and had the spices barely added to the actual wings, the spicy garlic parmesan were excellent! Make sure that you don’t order the normal garlic parmesan wings as they were a let down for the other people in my company that evening. The spiciness masks this weakness and definitely is the kicker for these wings. Moreover, the service was great and did not make a single error even though we probably ordered over 150 wings total that evening from 10+ flavors on the menu! Overall, nestled in the heart of a quaint area of Tucson, I was pretty impressed and will return on Tuesdays as time permits!

This place has really good food BUT fail to mention that they are not dog friendly. They have an outside patio and their cashier berates customers for having their dogs out there even when the owners are sure to clean up after them. I feel like they should put up a sign if they do not want dogs outside, instead of being passive aggressive towards customers. I will not be returning here if this is how they treat their customers when the business fails to inform us that our dogs are not welcome. Edit: Because people are upset and keep sending me nasty messages about this review, NOTE: I gave them a one star because of how they ACTED, not because of dogs not being allowed. I love their food, but I refuse to eat at places who treat their customers like crap. If you don’t want dogs on your patio, put up a sign or ASKNICELY and I will kindly leave and never bring my dog back. But don’t get passive aggressive and berate me when there’s no indication that you do not want dogs on your patio. Some people take their dogs around and love places where we can stop and eat with our dog outside.

LOVE the rice!!! We got the 8 wings and rice combo. The hot wings are good, the rice is excellent! We shared the combo and when the food was brought out the server brought two plates, forks, and ranch. I appreciated the observation and the gesture. The food didn’t take too terribly long but we only ordered one combo. I highly recommend it! I will certainly be back to try more menu items. A really unique place, glad to have it in Tucson.

What a wonderful reminder of what it was like growing up in Los Angeles. Wings & Rice represents the quintessential neighborhood eatery, reminiscent of the fried chicken shops that were once all over Los Angeles. You will still find them there. The restaurant is fairly compact — about one dozen tables, with a patio that is pet friendly. There is one table I noticed that is offered for reservations. Also, there is a single television set, which was tuned to sports. I get the sense that the owners are die hard Arizona fans, and it doesn’t matter the team. The Wildcats, the Cardinals and the Suns each had prominent display. There is also a wall in recognition of those in military service. It takes about 15 – 20 minutes to get an order, and the restaurant seems to keep a steady stream of patrons. Seems lots of folks call in their orders as well. It is important to know that while wings and rice are, indeed, the popular menu items, the restaurant offers a pretty extensive menu: katsu, cheesesteaks, burgers, smothered fries, and more. They even have butterfly shrimp. They also have ice cream and sell Coke products. I went with a combo that came with wings and rice, which was topped with a Japanese sauce and served with a side salad. Hearty and delicious! Perfect picnic food! Other things to know: Lunch specials run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a drink, fried rice topped with Japanese white sauce. You can get chicken wings, strips, a hamburger basket or a Philly cheesesteak. They have daily combos served all day, which will run between $ 10 and $ 14. Their platters include BBQ pulled pork nachos, a veggie platter and teriyaki chicken. They also have sandwiches — Parmesan chicken, crispy chicken and burgers. Their sides are varied — celery and carrot sticks, cole slaw, stir-fry vegetables, steamed rice, cheese fries and more. As for the wings, you get a lot of choices: buffalo, teriyaki, cajun, Italian, orange, ginger soy, lemon pepper, honey mustard — tons of options there. They also have meal deals with 30 or 50 wings, which comes with baskets of fries and celery and carrots. There is a fried rice special for $ 6 on Mondays and Thursdays. Bonus: Free WIFI.

That secret sauce is what makes this place specials. I always get the combo because I want a little bit of everything. Combos come w wings, fried rice, salad, and a drink. Wings are pretty good, lots of different flavors. Fried rice w extra secret sauce is my favorite. The salad is your typical salad you get at an Asian restrauant. Extra cost for extra sauce! Staff is super friendly, fast service, small place but there’s always been seating available(in and out).

The staff is extremely friendly, I got an order wrong and they completely took care of it giving them 5 stars. Their wings are alright but not the best although I do love their salad and fried rice. There is free wifi and the place is cute and cozy. A great location to hang out with friends. The specials are pretty good deals and the combos have exactly what I want depending on whether or not I want more rice or more wings that day. The rice has the most delicious creamt sauce I have ever tasted as well as a great chewy texture. The salad has a ginger dressing that is light and flavorful. I’m glad that I came everytime. Although the takeout is not great. Once you leave the store it is not as good since the wings get soggy and lack the crispness that it had initially. I love it here and the atmosphere is so inviting I will definitely be back.

I’ve only had the chicken fried rice in all the times that I’ve come. If you love something it’s hard to try something else. It’s different then other fried rices. It’s covered in cheese and their special Japanese sauce. Makes my mouth water just waiting for it. They have a diverse menu. Japanese food, sandwiches, wraps and so much more. The staff is always friendly and it’s really clean. You must stop in and try this place. Everyone that has gone with me are now repeat customers. Of course I will tell you to try the chicken fried rice and the salad that comes with it has the yummiest dressing. Great prices and large portions.

I’ve passed this place for a few years and always thought to myself, «Hmmm, weird.» Then my daughter A told me she and her coworkers picked up lunch recently and they thought it was really good. Still I thought to myself, «Hmmm, weird.» Ran an errand and was on my way back to work and thinking of my incredibly unappetizing lunch of brown rice and lentils waiting for me in the fridge in the office. Heading north on Craycroft approaching Pima… should I stop? No. Eat what you brought to work. But it’s gross. Just eat it and save yourself a few bucks. But… SWERVE to the right and in to the parking lot I pull. I was incredibly overwhelmed with the menu and all the pictures of the food on the wall. Holy Kalbi, Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Parm Sandwich, Wings, Rice and Calamari!!! Finally settled on a lunch combo of 5 spicy orange boneless wings and fried rice with some crazy, weird sauce on it, a side salad and a fountain drink. Brought it back to work, opened it and actually said out loud, «Holy crap that’s a lot of food!» The boneless wings are tender but lacked much spice OR orange flavor. The fried rice though… oh the fried rice. It’s delicious like no other fried rice I’ve ever had. The salad was far from exciting; some shredded iceberg lettuce, perhaps a few carrot shreds and some kind of salad dressing on it. The salad was way below average. This huge lunch will now be lunch and dinner. The staff members I encountered today were extremely nice and friendly. Warren, Rose and I chatted while I waited for my food to be prepared. Really friendly and warm. Warren tells me they are popular with the good folks at DM so you’ll likely see a few airmen when you’re there. There is even a board near the back of the dining room with pictures of their military customers. Nice little tribute they’ve got going on. There is plenty of seating indoors and a decent sized patio that would be ideal for enjoying lunch on this gorgeous day. But I’m eating here at work… in front of my computer… not actually working… telling you about my experience.

Checked out this place for lunch. Very friendly service. I got the chicken fried rice, 5 Louisianan wings, 5 dragons breath wings. Starting with the chicken fried rice, it was delicious. Nicely cooked rice. The social sauce is a light mayonnaise based sauce that compliments the dish really well. You can get it on the side. The chicken was cut in cubes and grilled and placed on top of the rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I’d say any chicken fried rice should have chicken like this. I agree, the best chicken fried rice in Tucson. On to the wings. The Louisianan was one I’ll have to get again. Honey coating over pepper. Very crispy. The dragons breath has habanero and is very spicy. Legit spice. Trust me, this is pretty spicy. It’s great. So definitely recommended.
