From the very beginning the staff at WLIAZ have made my weight-​loss surgery quest their own. From dealing with the staff the greeted me when I walked in to Amanda (my assigned case worker) to Mike (my assigned dietician) to the doctor who administered my psych evaluation to finally the surgeons (Dr. Orris and Dr. DeBarros).
I went in with questions and concerns and left with answers and understanding. They all wanted me to know that my relationship with them wouldn’t stop once the surgery was complete. They shared with me many support options: support group that meet in person, Facebook page that is only by invite only, recipes’, experiences of others testimonials from earlier clients etc.
Make no mistake they make it clear that the client has his/​her own piece to make this mission successful and it is up to you, they can only care and do so much the rest is up to us. I am ready, excited and can’t wait to try clothes on and have them fit, lower my blood pressure, lower my cholesterol and fit into an airplane seat without noticing the fear in the eyes of the person who you are about to sit next to on the plane.
