How does this place even have 2 ½ stars? My wife and I tried it for the first time and will never go back. We called ahead and placed an order thinking it would be ready when we got there. However, after getting there we realized they hadn’t even started the order until we got there, so we waited at least 20 minutes for our food. The cashier was rude and could barely understand him. My tortilla was stale and hard and the food sucked in general. Don’t waste your money here.

Let’s try the corporate burrito for this where we do the«build, break, build» concept: Build: — Affordable food — Convenient locations peppered throughout Tucson — Huge potential if they actually addressed some key issues Break: — When you pull up to the drive through you will most likely be greeted by «hummanahh blah blah blhrito» and your cues to pull forward are usually static bursts — They will forget ingredients like eggs, or cheese, or bacon — The bacon could be cut a little smaller so you don’t choke on it — Sometimes they say they can’t give you exact change because they don’t have change, then they try to round in their favor and not yours which is a pet peeve of mine Build: — Fix the above and you’d be a superstar — They’re open 24 hours, which is cool I’ll go back, unfortunately, because that’s what I need in a drive through at 2am or 6am.

This place is disgusting. The food is typical for fast food Mexican, but we saw the way they prepared it and were sick to our stomachs. The cook grabbed raw pork with his gloved hand, then the handle of the deep fry basket and then rolled a burrito without ever changing his glove. We walked out. I’ve thought about calling the food inspector but we’ll just stay away instead. If you want to stay out of the hospital, stay away from here as well. Yuck!

Have been here twice now and I still can’t find the meat in the tacos! The burritos are pretty good though… I guess it IS called Viva Burrito! Not bad overall, prefer Nico’s tacos!

Pleasantly surprised. If you like good variety and good tasting food and can enjoy it at a place that offers no frills, this is for you. We had the carnita and carne asado dinners and really enjoyed them. Largest flour tortillas we’ve ever had. I can’t imagine the size of burritos they must make with them. Burger joint type atmosphere, order at the desk and pick up your meal when ready but all in all, a good experience.

This place sucks. My wife and I ordered some chicken burritos; huge mistake due to the fact that they ran out of canned chicken(and I know this because the one burrito we did receive tasted metallic.) The customer service was ok but the idiots took 25 minutes to make 4 tacos and 2 burritos. On a second occasion(because I’m optimistic) I gave this place another shot and bought a breakfast burrito, only to later find out that they charged my bank account 9 bucks for a 4 $ burrito. Unorganized and uses canned chicken. Need I say more?

I used to love eating here. Grab a quick breakfast burrito and be on my way. The burritos used to be quality breakfast burritos. Now they are 90% potato and whatever else you ACTUALLY ordered. The last 3 or 4 times I came, there was always a mess up in my order that I wouldn’t realize until I was already at my final destination. The customer service is absolutely terrible. Whoever trains these kids and adults does not know how to manage a restaurant and its customers. The workers say things like«what do you want» or «is that all.» No people skills and it comes off very unprofessional. The managers really need to improve the quality if they expect to retain customers.

I have had good services before until tonight. I had placed an order in drive thru. This time I got home and it was wrong. So I called the store to let them know it was incorrect. They told me to come back and return the order. I had told the person that I couldn’t come back for a few days since I have a handicap and unable to get around too much that is why I went through drive thru. She told me there is nothing she can do. That is not my issue since they didn’t fulfill the order I paid for. I ask for manager or lead and they said no one was there. She said how do we know you didn’t eat the meat that was suppose to be on your super papas. Wow that is 0 percent customer service. I asked for manager to call me back will see if she does and if she is any help over a 7 dollar plate. For 7 dollars no worth it but just wanted everyone else to know if items not done correctly. Not to mention employee eating at register so said maybe health inspection needs to be called too

Maybe if they didn’t have Mr. mumble we would be able to fucking understand what the hell the employee was saying! He got our orders wrong and was seriously disrespectful!

Fryers are down at midnight so half of the menu is invalid. Woman is yelling(multiple times) at worker to wake up from God knows where he is sleeping. And there is no green salsa available. Poor management all around.

Viva on Broadway and Camino Seco is awesome! But this location sucks big time. The last three times I went there I ordered super nachos and every time they couldn’t make it because the fryer was turned off or they were cleaning it. I’ve worked in a kitchen before, a fryer only takes a few mins to heat up and they tried telling me it would take 30mins! An excuse for lazy workers. Also their tacos are a joke lol smaller than half the size of my tiny hand lmao

I generally love eating here, but today I received my order prepared incorrectly and I asked for them to remake it which they did, which was over-cooked with sauce left on the spatula from the last order. At this point I was too frustrated to ask for another remake. In general the food is fairly good when the staff is competent enough, however bad service isn’t out of the question. The place is fairly well cleaned and never really cluttered.

I have tried viva 4 times now. Today I was there and waited in the drive thru for a very long time. The burritos have no flavor. Everything is dried out and cooked way too long. I wouldn’t be surprised if the eggs are precooked. The employees in the front are very nice and do a great job. Today I had to return and go inside the store because they forgot one of my burritos. I will not return. Consistently bad. Drive a little farther and go to a Nicos or Filibertos, they are consistently much better than Viva.

I have been there 8 times and have only been served 4 times. Always out of beans(it’s supposed to be 24 hours). The first 2 times were good. Third and fourth time — no beans. Fifth time only had enough beans for 1 burrito. Sixth and seventh time — no beans. Last night, the eighth time — they had beans but no salsa. Needless to say, I will NEVER go there again.

Love the breakfast burrito one of my favorite places for them, always filling & made fresh to order! Very friendly & bilingual staff, service with a smile. Super nachos from here is enough for at least 3 people to get full off of. Light & crispy fresh cooked chips tasty beans the meat is so delicious & tender unlike a lot of the competition. Can’t write a review without mentioning the red chili chicken so yummy! I’d suggest this location to anyone :)

Hung over? Viva burrito has a breakfast burrito for you. Though they will try to kill you with way too much of potatoes, I think theres like half an egg per burrito… just drown it in salsa, get extra salsa… like 5x for one burrito. Yea I guess I go there for the salsa with a side of burrito. Got the carnitas last time. Good for what you pay. Way better than anything else youll find for the price.

I am flabbergasted this place has three stars. Ate here on new year’s eve. Ordered the carne asada burritos, fiancée ordered cheese enchiladas, son ordered quesadillas. The carne asada seemed like it was cooked at some point, frozen, and then microwaved. The seasoning was so slight it was barely noticeable. The cheese in the cheese enchiladas wasn’t even melted and they were cold. Nasty nasty food, even beats out toxic hell. Didn’t know places like this existed in Tucson.

I decided that, despite turning 32 in a matter of weeks, I was going to do the whole stay-out-late-and-eat-cheap-Mexican-food-at-2:30-in-the-morning-on-the-way-home routine I had partaken in between the ages of 18 – 24. Viva Burrito isn’t the greatest Mexican food you can get in Tucson, but for what it is, it serves its purpose. Late at night, I spot this location and decide to venture to the drive-through for some $ 0.99 beef tacos. Simple, but greasy, yet delicious. The salsa they gave was magnificent. Perhaps this was all because I was about to pass out and was starving(literally, I was malnourished and close to death, I swear). The service was prompt and friendly; the food was cheap and edible to the extent that I will stop here again when I decide to stay out until 2:00 a.m. or later.

I will come right out and say it, I find mexican food to be lame and uninspired. I will also say that the only times I come here is when well it is the«Prettiest Oakridge Boy.» If you pop in after midnight they will treat you as if you are just another drunk. I like to order a Tejano burrito with added guacamole. They tend to mess it up more often than not. I once was standing in front of the bathroom for 5 minutes with no one else in the building a helper monkey was cleaning. Not seeing any light from under the door I asked if there was a key(which would have been new) the girl looked at me for a second then she all of the sudden remembers oh yeah hands me a plastic knife and says jam it into the key slot and jiggle. I will say this there are only 5 items i will eat here. 3 are breakfast burritos.

I really want to give this 4 stars. But I must be honest with what I’ve experienced, and will possibly change this later on. I’ve been wanting to find a cheap burrito place for a while, and I’ve finally defeated procrastination and found this place! It’s extremely inexpensive, 3 something for breakfast burritos, and extremely inexpensive for the rest of them. The dining area itself was pretty neat. It had enough tables for quite a few people to dine in if they choose to. It also has a drive through for people on the go. When I went in, I realized it was quite busy for such a small restaurant. A bunch of airmen were standing waiting for their orders, and it was a moment or two before I got to order something. There were only two workers frantically working to get all the orders completed. Then I found out that one airman ordered around 40 burritos, another 17 or so, and an officer trying just as hard to be patient as possible. Not to mention some people who already knew the dilemma coming in and going out just as easily, knowing they’ll be here for a while. The food itself was great for a $ 3 meal. I’m impressed even more that they use real ingredients for the food, as I saw in the kitchen area. As far as I know, they’re not selling us bad food. I’m not sure if they take orders off the phone, but for this situation when they have to make hundreds of burritos all at once, they need to do this. They would also definitely benefit raising their prices so they could hire more people and keep the place kept up and cleaner. This business has a lot of potential, but I understand that, it being a new business, it’ll have to work through its knots to get better. Overall, I like this place, and will come again, and invite some friends along as well.
