Great location and décor but food made for an unpleasant experience. I ordered Strawberry crepes with hash browns & turkey sausage. It was handed to me with sausage soaked in Strawberry sauce. The crepes tasted like they had been cooked in pork sausage grease. How do you screw up a crêpe? To top it off the cream on top of crepes had an off-taste. Service was good but sadly food was not.

I went to the restaurant on 7÷28÷2015 for 4 cinnamon rolls to go. There were 6 tables occupied and 7 employees that I counted. I ordered at 8:39 and received the rolls at 8:56. No reason for the wait on such a simple item. Oh well things happen. The real problem was the rolls were the worst I was so disappointed and embarrassed when we all sat down to enjoy them. They were so dry and stale not at all an item you want to put out when wanting to be taken as a real BAKERY!!! I managed a Village Inn from 1976 – 1981 with Mr and Mrs Perry .That was not at all a representation of Village Inn!

Good food. Nice new restaurant but what’s the deal with the men’s room? The urinal looks like something out of a old race track bathroom. Overall a good family place..

Poor service all around. Took about 40 minutes to get 2 orders of food. Even though there were only about 3 other tables of people. Food was bland. Should’ve known better and just went to IHOP down the road. Will not be back

I think this place i great. A big step up from Dennys. Nice retro 60s décor, fast service, great grilled cheese. I will be back. Going to try the lemon meringue pie today too.

Not the place to go if you have a dairy allergy and can’t have gluten, very limited options available, I have now been there 2 times during my visit with my mom who lives in Tucson, AZ, Both times I ordered a burger without the bun, no cheese, etc. Gets very old eating a burger on lettuce and some some fries. This is not the place to come to for a burger when you can;t have great one at In-n-Out right by it or Red Robin by the mall. They could make an effort to at least serve sandwichs on gluten free bread, or make some gluten free pancakes, pasta, pizza crust, etc!

This place is horrible. I was so excited to try something new in the area, but I should have stuck with our usual– Bisbee Breakfast Club. I ordered our food to go. When I arrived home and checked the order, it was missing the main part of the 2×2×2 breakfast– the eggs. Our veggie omelette was also missing the side of fruit it was supposed to come with. My husband’s omelette was so bad; he couldn’t even eat it. My sister’s pancakes were also horrible. I was so sad because it was such a waste of $ 38.

«More Pie Please!» My first impression of village inn– a cross between Denny’s and Cocos bakery. I’m from California and I haven’t seen many village inn, so when I saw this place pop up in Marana I was intrigued! Fish fry Friday’s?! Free pie Wednesday ?! What the!!! I went in for breakfast on thanksgiving day. The menu was a bit overwhelming but our waitress was a doll. She made some good recommendation and our order was out in no time. I really appreciated the quick friendly service and the food was as American as it gets. We ordered a pie to go and I must say it was yummy! I will be back to try their awesome variety of pies!

Waitress forgot to put in our order and was very apologetic but it made for a very long wait for breakfast. Got in line to pay, the manager behind the counter told me to get in the longer line at the other cashier and then she proceeded to wait on three other customers while I was still waiting in line. I commented to the cashier about the wait, the incorrect food order, and the brush off by the manager. She called the manager over who never apologized but was willing to take the money.

I am going with 4 stars because let’s face it, for what it is, it was great. It’s just a regular dinner, don’t expect 5 star resort food and you won’t be disappointed. I went with my kids for dinner(age 3 and 5) looking for casual quick dinning. We were sat right away. Our waitress Taryn was really great– my son has allergies and she took the time to understand and help me navigate the menu. Food was pretty quick. Nothing fancy– one kid had eggs and sausage, the other a burger. My Cobb salad was fine. Overall a good experience. We would go back if we need kid friendly, quick, comfort food.

We expected Village Inn to be busy and it certainly was! Busy as it was we only waited 15 minutes– No one took our drink order for 15 minutes, my son asked for 2 instead of 3 pancakes with his meal, but he got 3, his juice glass had dried soda on it. I never got my toast which I substituted instead of pancakes. I asked the waitress and the person who brought our food. 15 minutes after I finished my breakfast I told the waitress not to worry about my toast and she looked at me as if she had no idea what I was talking about. I did bring it to the manager’s attention the food was really good but the service was horrible! I doubt that we will be back any time soon.

my wife and i went there this weekend and we were not impressed. it was more pricey than what we would’ve guessed and the menu seems like a knock-off of the entire ihop menu. the staff seems to not have any experience as as they were slow and inefficient. For my money, i’m sticking to ihop.

Normal day at village inn. Poor staffing equals long waits and food quality or should I say inequality. Practically thrown together plates means under cooked food! I won’t be returning with so many other options in the area why go here.

Just opened last week and wanted to try it rather than IHOP our usual spot. Expectedly busy for a Saturday morning. Wait was only about 15 – 20 minutes. When being seated one thing I noticed was it was rather warm inside. As soon as we were seated the floor«General» asked us our drink order even before our server could make it over. More about the«General» later. Things were chaotic as expected for a new opening. They had more servers than I could count and ours was over within a couple minutes to take our kids order. Before she was done with the kids order the«General» had our drinks. The«General» I speak of is a floor manager who had eyes on every table and made sure people always had whatever they needed and no tables needed to be bussed or were empty with growing throngs waiting by the doors. Without her I don’t think they would have been able to handle that many people without service really suffering. Our food arrived faster than I thought it would. The kids scarfed down their French toast so fast we had to order another one. My wife enjoyed her crepes and I thought my eggs benedict was good but the English muffin was a bit soggy. I think IHOP has some stiff competition but I will have to see how long they keep the high service level they showed this visit. Definitely have to go back to find out.
