Been here about 4 times and each time was good. The food is good and the prices were legit. Why not give this place a 5 you may ask? Please give me a Taco shop, Nicos or Los Betos that has customer service experience! And plz keep it clean people!!! People eat here. Thanks.

Ya charge me for bacon in the burrito and they don’t even put bacon!!! What kind of shit is that, and they botched the hell out of my order. Disappointed

Great location, although if you’re not looking close you might pass it! The shrimp tacos are pretty good and what taco shop carries cheesecake?! This one! My first time going there, I swear the cashier gave me the option of flower or corn tortilla with my tacos, however on my second visit, a different cashier was very annoyed that I specified I wanted a corn tortilla. She spoke to me slowly as if I was a child, «if you oder a burrito, you get flooour, if you oder a taco you get cooorn.» I apologized that I may have been mistaken, but her tone was so condescending I should’ve walked out right then. It might be awhile before I go back.

This is my favorite place in Tucson for burritos. The fish burrito is to die for. The price is also killer(around four bucks, and the thing is bigger than my hand). I’d rather come here than Chipotle. TSC also has horchata. Feel free to top it off — you can refill your cup for free. By the way, the fact that this place is open 24⁄7 makes Tucson such a wonderful place.

I love this place. I’ve lived near by for the past 3 years and have been coming regularly ever since. Nothing too fancy about it but they make great Mexican food. I love just about everything on their menu. They have nice friendly employees and good service. Avoid going here around game times and munchies hours because it can become quite busy.

Definitely my favorite place to eat at! Lunch, dinner, late at night after a night out… or even when you’re just laying in bed. Taco Shop is good at any time of the day or night. If you’ve never tried this place I highly recommend that you do because you will not regret it. It would definitely be a lot better if they delivered but it’s still worth the drive.

The Taco Shop is awesome. I’ve been there 10 or so times, and I’ve never been 100% satisfied with the taste of the food. And they’re open 24 hours. The only thing I would advice, is if you go at night, be prepared to deal with sketch situations like people fighting each other(I’ve seen it.) but that also made it more interesting. Taco Shop for the win.

I love this place. I usually get shredded beef tacos… Their crispy fish tacos are great too.

Boom! This place was great. Friendly ladies, too cheap prices, and delicious tacos! I stopped in for a quick snack and was surprised by how amazing this place is. I will be back for sure! Oh, did I mention the delicious salsa at the salsa bar? It was so good I could drink it from a cup.

Their burritos are great, they’re open 24/7, and they’re cheap. Perfect for lunch or a midnight snack! :)

Compared to the other decent latin food places, The Taco Shop is great(not to be confused with other similarly named taco shops. I ordered an Arizona burrito(steak, potatoes, cheese), and was thoroughly impressed. Alongside the salsa bar featuring, mild, moderate, and green hot salsas, the burrito was excellent. For such a small establishment, the service is fast and the best part is 24HOURSERVICE!!! So if you’ve got a late night craving or studying late by the UA, this could be the spot to grab a quick bite. The only downside to this place would be inebriated college students due to its proximity to campus and 24 hour offerings! But for the quality and time of day, that might be a chance just worth taking! Lesson learned: never underestimate small food shops in favor of large, well-advertised choices! This place definitely debunks that notion for sure!

I used to live a block away from here, and boy was that heavenly! I’m a simple girl, so my go-to has always been the bean and cheese burrito, but it’s done so well that I haven’t had a desire to try anything else. The tortilla is my favorite part. I also get a giant cup of horchata, because the horchata here is just watered down enough that I don’t get sluggish after drinking it. And it’s open 24/7, so late night food runs during finals were never an issue. I took away a star because sometimes it’s impossible to get parking.

I love Taco Shop! It is the perfect place for that midnight or later mexican food craving. It is way better then Taco Bell and Nico’s too in my opinion. I recommend the Arizona Burrito which is stuffed with steak, potatoes, lots of cheese and salsa. Its then topped with more cheese and guacamole on a bed of lettuce. Only disappointing thing is the guacamole is more like an avocado sauce then traditional guacamole. If you are like me and have a sweet tooth, the churros are filled with caramel and are so amazing which makes up for the disappointing guacamole. Ask for chimichanga style with your burrito which just means they deep fry the entire burrito after its prepared. It is worth every cent of the $ 1.99 up charge. Honestly, Taco Shop gives you that hole in the wall, dive restaurant feel with amazing food but its definitely reserved for after hours outings since it is open 24⁄7 and nothing tastes better after a night out then a burrito.

The Taco Shop is a great place for college students. Late night service, humble interior, and convenient location make this a popular spot. Although the fish tacos are by far the best thing on the menu, there is a variety of choices. I also appreciated the self serve salsa bar which includes pickled carrots which is a rare find! If your craving honest priced tacos, this is the place!

I’m the biggest food snob and I can’t believe I sometimes rarely come out here to eat. Taco Shop is great for late night food mostly after the bars. Food is very oily here, and prices have gone up since I was a freshman. Overall still good and their breakfast burritos are pretty damn tasty.

There is a serious and saddening shortage of 24-hour food joints in Tucson. Taco Shop to the rescue! On weekend nights(and wee morning hours) expect to see a sloppy array of drunk college students. Any other time, it’s just a quiet Mexican fast food spot with decent prices and the usual offerings of say a Beto’s or Nico’s; maybe a cut above in terms of food quality and flavor. Carne asada burritos, breakfast burros, chicken tacos, etc., etc., are standard fare, fresh-tasting, and in big portions, but not overwhelming. I do enjoy the supreme quesadilla(because it comes with beans), but only when it’s not overloaded with cheese. They do like to put a lot of cheese on everything here. Fair warning. The staff seems a little weary and worn-out, but who can blame them with the nightly shenanigans they likely have to put up with, being a 24-hour business and all. Bless you, Taco Shop, and please don’t ever go away, cuz where will we eat?

I’ve eaten here more times than I can count over the years but have limited memory as to what actually takes place… I do know this… great location for when you MUST eat at whatever ungodly hour it is that you’re arriving in, that the food always tastes great, has the proper amount of grease/fat that someone who enjoyed a few adult beverages may need, and that no matter what state you arrive in, the staff will be patient and helpful.

Good Drunk Food! After a night out on the town and you’ve got the drunk munchies– hit this place on your way home. Fast Mexican food. They have great breakfast burritos. Quick and cheap!

Decent for a fast bite. Prices are okay. My usual go to for Mexican is always chicken, but it’s really bland and no flavor. But I stole a bite of my husbands carnitas fried pork burrito and it was so good I had to get one for myself. So if I were to come back, I think that’s all I would order because it’s amazing. Guacamole is too runny for my taste.

If I am going to have fast Mexican food, I’m going straight to Los Betos. Yup, that’s how I roll. But after much fanfare I decided to try the Taco Shop. I didn’t make a full experience of it. I wanted a breakfast burrito, then I wanted out. Not because of the location — I was just in a hurry. Walking in, I realized I had been here once before — years upon years ago while a UA undergraduate. I recalled that I had not eaten anything during that visit years ago. I love that this is a casual, homegrown space. Nothing fancy, and not at all distracting. And, seriously, the space where the attendant takes your order looks so much like a food cart. It’s kind of as though an actual food cart was placed in the middle of this parking lot, and a restaurant was built around it. With a few seats in the rear and a random table out front, along with tables on the covered patio, the general feel of the place is that you come here to eat. Not to mill about. Not to hang out. Not to socialize. Get your grub, then move on to the next. The spice bar is nice. I was glad to see zanahorias. To me, that’s always a good sign. And they don’t even bother to charge you for them! Along with the zanahorias was a hefty assortment of salas, limes, onions and other fillers. Nice. The burrito, at around $ 5, was just OK. I ordered mine with bacon, egg and cheese. The bacon was finely cooked, as were the eggs, and they did not over-stuff the burrito with a glob of cheese. I appreciated that. So, yes — taste was good, but there was some oomph of flavor missing. FYI: They have flan, tres leches and cheesecake for those of you who need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
