The service is always exceptional and the food is delicious and affordable, especially during lunch hours(before 3pm)

I went here today because the guys in the bird food store were eating this for lunch and it looked good. They were having War Wonton with spicy broth and Spicy Chicken Egg Rolls. I added an order of Barbecued Ribs. Ok, so first the soup; it was very good. The broth was nice and the array of fixins was nice. Until I got to the bottom my last 2 spoonfuls were spent pulling chicken cartilage out of my mouth. This is especially nasty with a soup because you eat it with a spoon and the expectation is that everything in there is safe to eat. It ended up being disgusting. Try better knife skills. The spicy chicken egg rolls were nice and crispy, the filling was even still crunchy but, aside from being spicy they were completely bland. The ribs were horrendous. They were basically jerky. WTF is wrong with people? Why on earth would they serve something like this and think it is OK? Oh YES I am going to run out and eat this dog shit again… RIGHTAWAY. No. Just no. Stay away.

Last time I was here there was a piece of plastic wrapper about the length of my index finger in my food. They did correct the problem without hesitation but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was average at best. I am in no hurry to go back and try it again.

The chefs here have a heavy hand with the oil. This leads to the multitude of problems found in other reviews(mushy breading on chicken, for example). When you order, ask for less oil. Counter and wait staff are all very friendly. I like how they have dinner specials too. Rich’s recommendation: lunch and dinner specials are priced well. Watch the oil and don’t expect a thriller of a meal.

When I was a resident of the North University neighborhood for ten years I used to order from here all the time. So, back in town for the weekend I ordered again. Quick=excellent; having to call the delivery driver to bring you utensils and they still don’t include some chopsticks and a plate=double fail; hot and sour=excellent, $ 2 extra for fried egg rice which was a few eggs with rice swished in oil=disgusting; if you tell me there are wood ears in the Hunan beef I need more than about 51/8″ pieces of mushroom=no, and really sweet sauce. All-in-all, not a nice experience and I paid almost $ 30. To bad for me.

Wonderful food and service today! Ordered beef/broccoli and orange chicken with two egg rolls. Including delivery fee it came to $ 27. The delivery driver was very nice and we had our order downtown in about 30 min. The portions were generous and piping hot. Keep up the good work.

well I have been dining here for 17yrs… between this location and the other brothers location, on the NW side of TUC… and what can i say ;(I called the Grant location to place a lunch order, clearly before the 3pm cut off time, and was not in range of lunch time specials, according to Host-cashier, who was manning the phone today… who answered the phone to take an order and just said«hello!»… like I just called her house phone and inconvenienced her, as if she had to answer the phone, dripping wet, from the shower, on the downstairs phone ‚…(LOL sorry for such a descriptive creative comparison) so after I was thrown off by the wonderful way the woman said«hello!»… I inquired about the lunch special… it was 2:50 p.m. and she said no once the computer hit the time she can’t do anything about it which is false because I’ve actually worked at said restaurant, and it can be fixed and then she could not understand anything I was saying clearly over a house telephone I was calling from, a landline, not a cellular, and she could not retain my order information… I only had to repeat myself about three and a half times… so yeah… someone definitely needs to be trained on proper phone etiquette for incoming orders. On a plus note, my food arrived quite quickly and portion size was ok and like always the quality was very well and consistent, with how their food always has tasted in the 17 years of dining there. If the food had been lagging, or if the delivery time was not up to par, I would have gone with a –1 on my review, solely because the first person that I made contact with, began with point of contact at a very LOW& unprofessional, unacceptable manner!

Ordered delivery from here last night! Grubhub delivers anywhere. Had the sweet nd sour chicken, house lo mein, sizzeling beef, Mongolian beef and crab crowns! Our delivery arrived 25 minutes after our order which was fantastic! Everything was hot on arrival and fresh. The sizzeling beef was the star, absolutely Delicious! The Mongolian beef had Great flavor but wasn’t quite as Spicey as we like. The sweet nd sour chicken was perfect. Chicken was still moist but with the crunchy fried outer layer that held up well under the sauce. The crab crowns were fantastic and packed with crab meat. All in all a terrific experience. We will order from here again! Eat and live well.

Would love to give it a 4 or 5, but keep reading — There are only three Chinese Delivery places in Tucson, and this is one of them. Let me start out by saying the Sesame Chicken is TODIEFOR. What sold me was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy in the meat. A tiny violin played a sad song each time the sesame chicken departed from my tongue towards my throat. The Veggie Delight entrée was much more disappointing. Hey, Mandarin Grill, if you’re going to try tofu, you have to cut it thin, and fry it. Otherwise, it’s worthless. The Veggie Delight consists of huge chunks of tofu, poorly flavored vegetables, all soaking in a broth half a step above distilled water. The Veggie Egg Fou Young was delicious along with the sauce accompanying it. SIDENOTE: the driver was extremely nice. One of the sauces spilled on several containers, and even ripped a bag open. Then out of nowhere, he told me he would be right back with a new box of sauce and more napkins, so he drove back to the restaurant and got it. Super cool. LASTLY: We found a dead caterpillar in the Veggie Delight, which ruined it even more. It’s really disappointing, because this otherwise would have become my staple Chinese food place, but I’m not sure if I would be comfortable ordering from them again… The chicken was so good though :’(

The best hot and sour around in my opinion. They always deliver fast and I haven’t been disappointed by a dish yet. I am always pleased with the Mongolian beef.

I go here often and have their lunch specials. They have great prices and the food is excellent. Their pot stickers are excellent and are my favorite. Service is great and very friendly.

SUCH A GOODPLACEFORAUTHENTICCHINESEFOOD! My party of4, including me, did the family dinner special which included soup, an egg roll & wontons, also with an entrée per person and rice. The portions were huge and the goal came out to be $ 12 per person! This was such a killer des considering the amount of leftovers we had at the end of the meal. Never been more satisfied with a dinner special, especially Chinese! I only gave it 4 stars since there was a few children running around the restaurant. This interrupted our meal and was annoying, the management didn’t say anything to them for awhile. DEFINITELYGOINGBACK!!!

Their website says they deliver downtown. False/misrepresented: «We deliver to *most* of downtown; we don’t deliver south of Broadway.»

The food was excellent, I had the Mandarin chicken, which had the perfect combination of tangy and crispy along with some soft succulent fried rice. The lighting was nice and dim helping keep the ambient noise low. And the waitress was friendly, fast and comforting.

We have been going here for 25 years. Great food at reasonable prices. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Our favorite Mooshoo vegetable.

The fried rice seemed like it was out of a steamer bag… very soft and a bit salty. The wonton soup was different… the broth was thick and not a clear broth more like a chicken noodle soup base and not served with fried wonton strips. The chowmein was served with fried wonton strips instead of crispy noodle.

This food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner special($ 9.25), a side of egg rolls($ 3), and the house fried rice(fried rice with shrimp, pork, and chicken)($ 7.25). Everything was fresh and flavorful. I ordered take out the wait was only around 10 minutes. Most Chinese places have hard rice, but their steamed rice that came with my dinner special was nice and soft, and the fried rice was cooked to perfection.

Love this asian place! And its right around the corner from my house. The lunch specials are a steal, huge portions and super delicious. Dinner specials aren’t bad either but for your first time I would advise going for lunch so if you don’t like it, its not a huge set back. They also deliver, which is probably what we are gonna do next time just because service was kinda slow. We went on a Monday and 2 tables got approached before we did and it wasn’t even busy. But I’m not gonna let below the service ruin my opinion about this place, the food makes up for what the service lacked.

The only redeeming quality of this«restaurant» was the general tao chicken. And that is an overstatement, because even that dish was very mundane. The fried rice had the consistency of dry oatmeal, the pork tasted like fish and it was ridiculously overpriced! I’d much rather have gone to Panda Express. This review is coming from someone who has eaten their(more than) fair share of Chinese food. If you like quality, stay away. The reviews posted on here seem biased.
