The Gaslight Costume Shoppe

I think people should know how quickly the owner of the Gaslight took action when he discovered my frustration with a garment I bought at his shop. I ended up not able to wear the dress due to the zipper and was initially told the only thing that could be offered was for one of the seamstresses to fix the zipper. The owner immediately rectified the situation and completely won me over with his customer service. Thank you very much for everything! I am a lifelong customer now.

I went to. the Gaslight Costume Shoppe for my daughter’s spirit day in high school. It was Decades day. She decided to go as a 50’s girl. The Costume Shoppe hooked us up with everything she needed even her shoes. She loved the outfit! The price was extremely affordable and we went from looking to trying things on and out the door in less than an hour. The people that work there are very knowledgeable and extremely talented. Can’t wait to go there for my Halloween costume this year!

I love this place. While I have never actually rented or bought an actual COSTUME, I love going there for zombie makeup supplies. They have Ben Nye for A LOT cheaper than you can get it online. And they have some of the BEST liquid latex in town (Not like the cheap stuff you get at Spirit around Halloween.) I’m actually about to head out there now because I have a Zombie Makeup gig coming up for the Slaughterhouse and I need more latex. :) Great friendly staff, and they give military discount: D

My wife and I went to this costume shop looking for a costume, we were actually sent here by the owner who was at their temporary location for Halloween.
I was amazed at the amount of costumes they had, but surprisingly there were none in real sizes, they were all for tiny people. I am not tiny and my wife is definitely not an XS (extra small). So after searching around they found a costume that might fit, and as she was on her way into the fitting room the bitch manager or someone appeared with a tape measure and started taking measurements and said she could not try it on… it was close in size and maybe it wouldn’t fit, but we couldn’t even see how the costume looks even if it couldn’t zip up.
Then after that she reappeared from the back with a One Size fits all Theatrical costume for nearly 4 times the amount, or we could rent it for the day and that only cost double the amount of the other one was to buy.
