Super Gyros and More was one of my absolute favorite restaurants, so I’m really sad to see it close down. I guess Tucson doesn’t know a good thing when it sees it. I read on their facebook page that they might be able to offer catering still, and I heartily recommend you do just that. Thanks for introducing me to Gyros, Super Gyros and More!

New owners are very friendly and customer service oriented. The food is good and at a reasonable price. It’s nice to have a gyro place on the Eastside… Something other than burgers. Lol

The food here is excellent!!! Will eat there again… It is a great alternative to the chain restaurants and Mexican food places on every corner.

Ordered a Super Greek salad and it was made with a spring mix instead of romaine. Boo. The gyro meat in the salad was decent. My love ordered the gyro sub and it was good. Could have used a little more meat but overall was something we would order again. We will try it again in the future. BTW, if your a dad you’ll eat for half price on Father’s Day.

I was actually really excited to try to this place for the first time when I saw it today. I was really excited to see a gyro place on the eastside. When I went in, I was pretty thrown off by the strange set-up. It was surprisingly busy and there wasn’t anywhere to sit inside except at a very large table in the center of the restaurant and I was just by myself and it was super windy outside. So I decided to place my order in the drive-thru, which I didn’t even know they had until I saw it from the inside. The whole entrance was just really awkward and unwelcoming. So I asked what was on the Gyro and they didn’t even know. Their answer was«it’s just like a regular gyro, onions, tomato, tzatziki…» Ok… I’ll have a gyro. It took 10 minutes to come out while I’m sitting in my car in the hot sun, thinking I should’ve just placed my order inside. When it finally came out, the girl didn’t even know the exact total, she’s says«it’s like $ 6, no $ 7 something. So i gave her $ 8 and she said she’d be right back with my change and she never came back(convenient way to steal a tip). So i just left. I didn’t want to wait any longer for 50 cents and if it was more change like $ 5 or $ 10, it would’ve been a huge pain to get back inside with the way the drive-thru is set-up. When I sat down to eat my gyro, about 10 minutes later, I opened the container and it looked disgusting. I didn’t even want to eat it, but I was starving so I attempted. I was right. It was the worst gyro I’ve ever had ever and overpriced compared to every other place in town you can get a gyro. I’ve never had a bad gyro before, but somehow they managed to utterly destroy this one. It was soggy, completely drenched in tzatziki, smothered in grease, the pita fell apart as soon as I picked it up, and the meat was cold. Also there was feta cheese on it which I would’ve asked for no feta if she had told me it would be on the gyro. It looked disgusting and tasted disgusting. Don’t waste your time and money for an awful gyro. I’d rather drive further for a less expensive gyro that actually looks and tastes good. Needless to say it was a very disappointing experience, which is a bummer because not enough eating places around town, really care about making the customer happy and that’s one of the things I look for in a restaurant.

So wife and I hit up this joint right after the new owners took over and they bent over backwards to see that we were happy with the food. So basically, there are my thoughts: 1. They do RC Cola products, which is AWESOME! 2. Their gyro is strong, and their crinkle-cut fries hit the spot. 3. I tried the Sonoran Dog, and it was overcooked. I was sad kitty, but understand that mistakes happen. To me, this is the type of place that will be hit or miss because it’s still getting its feet underneath it, and yes, good help is hard to find. They are open to suggetions, and are looking to make a name in the local east side community. I wish them the best and plan on returning soon to try something new.

I was beyond excited to find that a new«Mom and Pop» restaurant had opened on the East Side. I am always one to help a local company, before the big box stores. Let me start off by saying, the first time my Boyfriend and I went, we were beyond pleased. He got the Philly Cheese steak and I got the Super Gyro, yummmmm! Would of totally given 5 stars at that time, I recommended to EVERYONE to try them out! 2nd time we went, they forgot to put sauce on my Gyro, and cheese on his PhillyCHEESEsteak. Bummer, but we could get over it. Some people make mistakes right? We decided to give them another try on Monday night, figuring 3rd time is a charm! We went through the drive through(only customers there) ordered our usual, the boyfriend asked for extra onions and peppers on his Cheese steak. Got home, no cheese, no onions, no peppers on the cheese steak, just meat, and bread. BEYOND disappointing. I bit into my Gyro, the bread was disgustingly stale, I couldn’t even eat it. We through our food away without taking more than 2 bites, and ordered pizza. Unfortunately we will not be going back to Super Gyros, there are too many other great places to eat, that get their orders right(even in the middle of dinner rush). I am bummed that the food service wasn’t better, because the staff is beyond friendly.

Very good spot! The place itself is a bit outdated, but don’t let that scare you off! I had a super gyro and was very impressed. The serving is simple, but well portioned. The pita tasted very fresh and to my surprise I discovered the bread served here is local. Next time I’ll try the Philly cheesesteak!

OK, to be fair the day I went to this place the«owner» as she made it seem, stated that their cook called out sick. She was manning the kitchen and register, yet there were two other employees there. It took literally 40 mins to get our food, which was only two gyros and ranch fries. The wait wasn’t really that much of an issue, but when we did get the order it was wrong. We were suppose to get chipotle style with jalapeños. She took the order back, and at the point we wanted to leave. We get home annnndddd no jalapeños. Ok, now I was aggravated, but hungry so we start eating, and the meat is dry, the tzatziki was flavorless. Only plus side the ranch fries were good, but then again it’s fries with ranch topped with bacon, hard to mess up. I’ll never eat here again.

The Gyros are great! Could use a bit more meat, but it is tasty. The Pita is soft but has a nice crust and they add Feta to the Tzatziki sauce and it is very good. The service is fast and good. My son had the foot long Brat and he said it was very great.

This is a pretty good place on the east side for a gyro. I have been several times. The owner and employees are very friendly. The gyro sandwich is slightly inconsistent. Sometimes the pita is better than other times. The meat is good, not the best I’ve had, but good. They should put a little more of it the sandwich. The tzatziki sauce needs work. It lacks flavor and is too bland. Over all it is a decent sandwich. They offer buffalo ranch fries which are krinkle fries with ranch and buffalo sauce. They are delicious if the fries are fresh and hot. They have a big TV which usually features a loud movie– not my thing, but maybe some people like it. I find it annoying, and would prefer a baseball game or some quiet sports event. I hope this place will improve slightly and last!

First impression: good. I ordered the ½ pound footlong Coney Island hotdog. My only complaint is that it tasted kind of sweet. Maybe it was the onions? I don’t know. I grew up in Michigan, where coney dogs are everywhere, and I don’t recall them ever being sweet. Having said that, I would be glad to go back and try something else.

Appearance is to the best, but the good prices, good food and good portions make it top notch! Seems to be family owned and the staff is very friendly and genuinely interested in your satisfaction!

Let’s start with the name of this place — Super Gyros and more. I am going to focus first on the«and more»… I will get back to the Super Gyros part. Their menu is focused on half pound hot dogs with all kinds of toppings, homemade potato chips, as well as the namesake gyro. The«and more» comes in the form of the specials they run. Today the board listed specials of: cheesesteak, gyro club, mini chicken chimis with beans and rice and buffalo ranch fries. So, basically, the menu is the stuff trips to the cardiologist are made of. The server, who I believe was also one of the owners, also told us about her husband’s(who I am guessing is the main cook) famous lasagna offered on Fridays as a special. Are you starting to get my point about«and more»? Seems like they just do what they want. As we often do, my buddy and I each order something and split it in the interest of trying more things. He orders the cheesesteak, which you can get with provolone or in the sainted Philly style with Cheese Whiz… or half and half, so you can try both. I order the gyro, because: 1. The owner/server suggested it. T 2. It’s in the name, right? So it better be good. We also get the buffalo ranch fries because they were only $.50 more than a regular order of fries and the owner/server said they make their own ranch. None of it disappointed. The cheesesteak came on a nice fresh roll that the owner/server said came from a bakery right down the street. Plenty of meat accented with grilled onions and, of course, cheese. The gyro, served on a nice fresh pita, was stuffed with gyro meat that had definitely experienced the heat of a flat top grill, which made it kind of crispy. Add some feta cheese, red onions and creamy tzatziki and, well, that’s a gyro done right. The fries were good but suffered from all the wet stuff on top. When we asked for our bill, the owner/server pointed to our U of A polos(we were repping the Cats on a game day) and said(wink, wink), «You both obviously work for the university, right? We give a 10% discount for educators.» Who are we to disagree? The place is not much to look at and, truthfully, the superhero theme is kind of corny; but good food from friendly local owners will bring me back again and again.

I usually like hole in the wall places but there wasn’t much special about this place to me. I went for a gyro, it was ok but not what I expected with all of the 5 star ratings I was seeing. It was made alright, the pita b bread took up most of the gyro. There was more then enough space on it more onions then anything else. I was sum hungry after they have more food portions but if I go for a gyro that better fill me up and it didn’t. The owner was very nice, it’s a family business.

Went here for lunch today. I had a gyro and fries and husband had the gyro and their homemade chips. The gyros were awesome and so were the chips. They just reopened on 10÷1÷13 with new owners. We met the new owners they were very friendly. We can’t wait to go back.

The new owners could not be more different than the previous owner as they are very friendly and engaging with the customers and care about customer service. I tried the southwest gyro and it was excellent. Highly recommend to check them out.
