2 stars as a nursery. 4 stars for pots and metal garden ornaments. The owner said he’s tired of doing all the work involved in selling plants, like watering them and feeding them. So he doesn’t have a whole lot of plants, and the ones he has are not all doing very well. I don’t blame him — I was looking for a low-maintenance plant myself. He seems like a friendly enough fellow. Aside from shrubs, he has some small cactuses and agaves. So this didn’t meet my needs, and the«nurseries» in the name is a bit misleading. If you want a pot for a plant, this is a great place to go, as he has tables and tables of pots. He also has a fair amount of painted metal garden ornaments.

This nursery just got in a new shipment of glazed pots. Beautiful colors, new larger sized vessels, and some cool metal stands to set them on. I love the new drip glazes with more than one color! Chili wreaths are pretty cool, too. Great to take back home to friends, although I can’t imagine using that many chilis! Hot Tamale!

This place is run by the cutest old man ever. I only bought one shrub there, but I just wanted to stay and visit with the old man forever. It is a tiny place right on the side of the road. The selection of plants was not the best I have seen and the prices were a little expensive. But the man knew his plants and that is just the kind of place you want to support. I also liked that he had mature fruit trees that were already bearing fruit. Though I did not purchase one on my first visit, I know I will go back for a lime tree. Mostly because I am impatient and I am tired of paying the grocery store to support my gin and tonic habit. Now, only if there were tonic trees…
