Sunny Daze Cafe

Everything positive I read in reviews is 100% accurate. Sunny Daze exceeded all expectations. I had the aptly named «Unbeatable» sandwich with sausage (there are also chicken or steak options, which I will be back to try) and it was excellent. Besides, you can get tators tots as a side option! My wife had the chicken topopo salad (option: shrimp — she’ll be back for that), which she described as superb. You need to eat here soon! I almost forgot, our server, Haro, who is a 10 star rated server on the 5 star scale. Yes, she’s that good!

This was my first time to Sunny Daze café. I found the food to be very good. The breakfast special is very low-​priced for the food. Finally the atmosphere is uplifting. The servers were extremely friendly and attentive. I would give this four stars.

It’s not always easy taking a toddler out to a restaurant, but the staff here amazed me with their kindness and patience with my fussy 1 yr old! My daughter even loves them and calmed down. Not only is the service great, the food is amazing!!! This is our new favorite place to stop at while we’re in Arizona visiting! We will be recommending this place to everyone!

I was in Tucson on Saturday for an event for my company and decided to stop in after seeing a lot of good Unilocal reviews. It was a good decision! Great food & very prompt & positive service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Everything from the service to the food was great!
Enjoyed the free ½ order of donuts. We had the Sunny huevo ranchero & ham/​cheese omelette.
Waitress with the multi colored hair was super nice and on point!

Went there last weekend with a friend, and it appears that they have decided to use frozen potatoes for their home-​fries. Bad idea. The last time I had their home-​fries, they were real potatoes, with onions and seasoning. Eggs were actually over-​medium previously, and this time they were sunny side up and barely cooked. Man, you guys.

Brought Two important people to our go to place yesterday, celebrated two birthdays, the Mrs and my Tattoo artist… Who BTW first brought me here many moons and many tats ago! TY for the great service guys!

I’ve been here a few times and every time has been delicious. Our last visit the server (Jenn) was very helpful and knowledgable of the menu. Gave us a few of her favorites and we both went with two of them. Never skipped a beat and we had everything that made our visit awesome.
If you’re ever on this side of town, you must stop in, check out inside this cool building and taste the greatness of food.

My husband and I were in on Wed 4 – 13 for breakfast. The special was a spinach omelet, etc. I asked the server about it, she explained. I asked if I could get it with less eggs and more veggies. To my surprise, the cook had put together the best omelet I’ve had in a long time. I thanked him personally and he was so kind with a big smile. The gals are alot of laughter and fun. So friendly of a place to have a fun meal at. The staff makes it fun to be there.

Extremely busy restaurant on the weekends. Still only waited for about 5 minutes. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend the Sunny Puffs.

Grow up by this place never went there in till about 2months ago now I go there every other week place is good and not over priced

No reason not to get a 5 star rating. Food was delicious, unique, and served quickly. However I was here pretty much as soon as they opened so I didn’t have any competition. And it was easter Sunday. The coffee was great and refills were swift.
I had the Sunnys Huevos mostly because I like seeing how different places do that dish. It was a corn tortilla with chili on top and 3 eggs. Served w refried beans. I wish it wasn’t so huge of a meal, I didn’t finish it. But then again, I eat like a bird, so this type of food always ends up being too much.
Atmosphere was calm and bright, I sat on the patio. Oh and I had my service animal with me, and I didn’t get hassled or questioned about him at all. I even had his card just in case, but the servers were respectful and didn’t try to pet him or feed him. All around a perfect experience for us.

Great food and service. Prices are good too!!. Only thing is the coffee could a little stronger and hotter, iced tea needs to be stronger too. Otherwise I will be going back for sure!!.

Always a great time here. We are regulars. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive to our need.

I’m so glad I found this place ! It’s Sunday mid morning, super busy and the staff was friendly and pleasant. If I ever come back to Tucson I’ll definitely be back !!!

Let’s clear up some of the issues that people seem to have with this place. Short and simple, here it goes:
This place is great for a fast, quick, easy breakfast. The pancakes are actually quite good when you’re too lazy to make them at home. The rest of the breakfast menu always seems to hit the spot. Not to mention, I’d rather eat here than Denny’s any day.
This place is probably «below average» when it comes to anything on the lunch/​dinner menu. I’ve come here twice for a late lunch/​early dinner, and both times have been somewhat disappointed. That being said, no one has ever recommended this place to me unless they want breakfast.
Service is, as others have noted, dependent upon who is there and how busy they are. I’ve never had someone be «rude» but I have had some people that have just been there and have given little effort into making my experience wonderful. But again… if you’re in the mood for a good breakfast, this is a good local alternative to Denny’s.

Love this place! It has become one of our favorite stops in Tucson. We make sure to stop by on the last day of soccer tournament for a great breakfast. The service is excellent and the food is delicious! We love the old diner atmosphere and the friendly staff. Can’t beat it! Give yourself a treat and give it a try! You’ll be glad you did!

Missed my flight wanted something close before catching another flight. Seated promptly and got coffee with minutes. However we waited close to 15 min before even being looked at a again. I went to the counter to ask if I could place an order and the girls were nice about it. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy, which was smothered in a peppered gravy that I absolutely must have when eating biscuits and gravy. It was sooooo good that I ordered the other half. Eggs were terrible. I asked for scrambled soft (yes, I’m picky but I tip well due to my level of ordering expertise. haha) French toast was good and so were the sausage links. Coffee could be better and stronger.
I WAS going to give a 3 but the girls were still nice after I had to ask to put my initial order in. They just gave me my 2^nd half order of biscuits and gravy for FREE :)
They totally smoothed things over. great way to recover girls. I’ll be back when I have to catch another flight.

The service is super friendly. And the sunny puff donuts are delicious. But they fell short on the main course — huevos rancheros. They were very bland, and not even the salsa could save them (salsa had no flavor or bite either).
