Came in on a busy Sunday night, with a group of about 10. No doorman, walk in and hear a scream from the middle of the bar asking for ID’s. No problem, show my ID and go to the restroom. I come out of the restroom and I go to the bar where I am carded again by the same guy. Wtf? Not a big deal but annoying nonetheless.
We have a round of shots and bartender is apathetic at best. I ask for a coke back and she’s clearly annoyed. We then hang around to order dollar wells at 10, we congregate to the end of the bar. Then the bartender proceeds to ask all to move to the other side «so she doesn’t have to walk back and forth».
I get it, it was busy for a Sunday but there are too many other fun places on 4th to have sub par service.

Big fan of this place during the nightlife hours, but come any earlier and it’s not as good of a time.
My coworkers and I work on 4th ave. and came in several times around 4 to do some agenda planning. The space is nice and open, and Brooklyn Pizza will come bring your pizza into the bar if you order next door, which is fantastic! However, every time we’ve approached the bar we had an unpleasant experience. The bartender came off standoffish, and made us feel very unwelcome. She never smiled and it would take a lot of effort to even be acknowledge by her while we were at the bar. Her customer service in particular was a turn off. We’ve since moved our meetings elsewhere because of the vibe we got from her and haven’t returned since.
Nothing against the drinks or food which I love! Just a forewarning if you’re stopping in late afternoon for a drink.

I absolutely love this place and have been coming for years. Yesterday during happy hour a large group showed up and the bartenders attitude change right away. She was extremely rude and unprofessional complaining of the large group in front of customers and rolling her eyes when asking customers what they wanted. She was also stating that she hated Pima implying that they were all Pima students. When in fact they were graduate students from the U. I understand there was a big group and she probably wasn’t informed but the way she treated those guests was like dirt and it was extremely sad, rude and unprofessional.

This bar is one of the coolest spots to drink in Tucson. They have everything that you could ask for and then some. Telescopes are brought out at night some nights and you can get your astronomy on. Smoker friendly with an outdoor section that doesn’t completely separate you from what’s happening inside. There’s DJ s, bands, pool tables, comfortable seating. The really amazing thing about Skylar is the drinks. They always have some delicious special that’s cheap and tasty. The happy hour kills it with 1 $ pbrs, food can be ordered also, as Brooklyn pizza is attached to it. There are even healthy non alcoholic drinks available, which makes it a great place to go to in the daytime, when those that want to cut the hair of the dog can do so along side the normies patiently waiting till 5. The sky’s the limit, push it to the limit

Best drinks in Tucson. drinks are super cheap and nicely crafted. I love how they use quality mixers. some nights we just stay here all night and hang out on their patio. Their telescopes are also amazing, and are a great touch friday/​saturday nights.
Bonus: I can eat pizza whilst drinking.

I had an awesome experience at Sky Bar during happy hour. The bartender was friendly and quick. She was on top of everything and didn’t miss beat. I was here for a couple of hours with some friends and was shocked when I received my ticket. The drinks were so good and so inexpensive and for that reason I can’t wait to come back.
If you feel like eating you can order from next door or walk to one of the many places nearby.

This place reminds me of old school Austin so much, it gives me the feels. There was an awesome jazz band playing, a no frills bar w/​good brews, and a super laid back crowd. They didn’t have much going on in the way of astronomy the night I was there, but maybe next time…

These reviews always suck… but the management and ownership needs to hear the truth…
Went here to watch the Cardinals v Panther game. I was in there for about 15 minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged. As we all know, this is unacceptable in the restaurant and bar industry… the only reason why I stayed that long is because I didn’t want to miss the Cam Newton puttin an a $$ whoopin on the Cards. Oh… by the way, there was only about 15 people in there and I am a VERY HARD person to miss.
Overall, bad (no) service and unacceptable behaviors by the staff.

I wish there were more solar powered places in Tucson, take advantage of the sun people! Bartenders are a hit or miss, sometimes they are very friendly but other times it’s clear they don’t want to be there. Bar has a large selection and drinks are moderately priced. You can order Brooklyn pizza from the bar and they deliver the slices to you from next door, pretty convenient!

This place has a great atmosphere. They have pool tables in the back, a place to dance, and some couches in the front. They even have a place outside where they occasionally set up telescopes. I usually stick to beer, and they have some pretty good deals sometimes. Also, you can grab a slice at Brooklyn Pizza right next door.
Overall, a really fun and cool place to hang. Definitely check this place out at least once.

Sky Bar is a large, open-​space bar that has local bands sometimes. Their drinks are really reasonably-​priced and poured. The crowd is funky/​eclectic, exactly what you would expect/​want from their location on 4th Ave. They have an awesome telescope on the patio that is sometimes manned by people who can tell you where to look at cool space things.
Overall this is a staple Tucson bar that promises fun and should be visited.

The drink specials are always cycing, & their always good; staff is friendly, & the place is always clean.
They need to put some restrictions on open mic night hahaa but otherwise, this place is cool.
They have a late night window to the pizza place next door, so there is usually good-​eats available (on select nights)
I’ve yet to try it in the daytime, but I believe it is a juice bar; if it’s half as good as the late night setting is, it’s definitely worth checking out sometime.

Too bad no one was dancing!
Enjoyed the quick service but something about this spot just doesn’t pop. Maybe the outside area is better? I saw a fire pit & rowdy crowd street side that looked interesting to say the least.
Still I enjoyed the 80s Michael Jackson, edm, and old school beats being spun. He sprinkled in a few hip hop currents to keep it too stale.

A group of friends and I started out our bar crawl here around 10pm on a Saturday night. The $ 3 vodka/​cranberry was the drink of choice among the group.
I really enjoyed the telescope on the patio. The astronomer had it positioned on the full moon and Jupiter — what a view! I didn’t stay for too long so I can’t comment on the cleanliness of the bathroom or the music quality, but I had a nice time.

I like sky bar. It’s spacious and good for hanging with friends. They have a decent beer selection on draft and more in bottles. I have come here a few times for UA games and it’s great — cheap drinks, big screens and lots of fans. The indoor seating is a little all over the place, meaning not quite enough but I’m not sure how to fix it. Being able to order a slice of pizza easily is a plus. This place isn’t crawling with annoying pretentious folks, and sometimes is home to colorful characters, but all in all it’s a good bar.

Came here after a UofA basketball game on a Thursday night. Busy for a weekday, Mainly because of the Sweet 16 game which the cats won so we found ourselves on 4th. Actually I can say I’ve never been to Sky Bar but after my first visit I think I will be back. Let’s be honest, not think I will be back, but more like hell yea I’ll be back. We had great service at the bar, a Honkey Tonk band playing in the corner, and star gazing in the patio! What else isn’t there to like? Oh yea reasonable Drink prices! Almost the complete package. Yea we had a great time and look forward to coming back one day soon!

I have never been to the Sky Bar before, and after an awful experience at another bar down the street, I decided to give this one a try.
It was my friend’s birthday and we went to this bar. The bartenders were amazing, and knew how to make their drinks. When they found out it was my friend’s birthday, they hooked her up with amazing drinks. And nothing was overly expensive! We were also able to get pizza from Brooklyn’s next door, so pizza and drinks? Not a bad combination.
My only issue is that, it’s not as exciting on a Tuesday night. Yeah, there was live music, but not a lot of people there.
