Shaffer has cleaned suits, shirts, pants, dresses, blouses, comforters and more for my wife and I, and always done well without damage. The differentiator between Shaffer and other dry cleaners is their hours — they are open late on weeknights and on weekends. It’s great for the busy professional!

I’ve been going here off and on as needed for a few years. Overall no major complaints. As a dry cleaner they do a good job for good prices in a timely manner. The location is convenient, although parking can be an issue if it’s really busy. Their customer service has been fine and *gasp*, even friendly! And who doesn’t appreciate good customer service? I absolutely do since it seems so rare nowadays. So kudos for that. There’s only been one time where there was a sort of «whoops» moment, but once again nothing too major. I’ll keep going here unless they give me a reason not too. Overall I do recommend the place and hopefully they keep up the good work :-)

On May 30,2014, I brought a patent leather Coach purse that I had spilled red soda all over to this Shaffer location. I was informed that the item would take about a month to clean, and that I would be called as soon as it was available – it was going to be sent out of state for cleaning. I paid $ 46 on this date. I had not heard from the dry cleaner, so I called back yesterday, asking about my item. The quite rude(and basically, completely snotty) girl who answered the phone told me that my purse had been back at their location for 3 weeks. I asked why I hadn’t been called, and she said, with a good amount of disdain in her voice, «I don’t know.» I then asked it was typical procedure to call as I had been previously informed, and she once again shortly replied; this time, she said, «yes.» So, I asked why I hadn’t been called, only to hear once again that she didn’t know. I asked to speak to a manager, as I noted that I expected a call, and had been waiting for it. She said no one was available, and wouldn’t be until this morning. I called just a few minutes ago and spoke to a manager, who apologized but did not offer any other remedy(though I still owe $ 46.77 on my item! I would have thought that after a 3 week delay(of sorts!), some type of action related to his not very sincere apology might have been offered. When I told him how the girl had responded yesterday, he said, «That doesn’t sound like who was here yesterday,» like I was not being truthful. So, I will be picking up my long-missing purse tomorrow, paying the remainder of the cost, and never returning. There are many other options for dry cleaning in Tucson, and so, in my opinion and experience, Shaffer doesn’t deserve repeat business. Note, btw, that I have about 4 other purses that need to be cleaned, and at $ 90+ per purse cleaning, this would be about $ 360 I’d gladly pay just for these items! This does not count my typical dry cleaning of clothing items!

Quick and friendly service. What more can you ask for? I’ve had a few horror stories from different dry cleaners with stains or burn marks that suddenly appear. Shaffer was easy to drop off with and quoted me an appropriately quick time to pick up. I arrived early since my work day wrapped up quickly and everything was ready! I get my husbands items lightly starched and have had several places hand me cardboard stiff clothing but Shaffer got it just right. Will be back :)

Great staff and pretty good dry cleaning service. I’ve been taking my work clothes to this Shaffer for about a year. It’s easy to get to if you’re on the mid-east part of town and the two reserved spots mean I’ve never had to wait. The staff is very friendly and they will get to know your name, your cleaning preferences, and your schedule quickly. With the convenience of parking and speedy service, I’ve never been in there longer than 5 minutes. Service typically takes two days, but can be sped up. I think they have a delivery system, too, where they will take them across town if you tell them up front. I would give 4 stars, but they have broken a few buttons and loosened some threads on my dress shirts. Not many of them, but any damage is too much. Regardless, service is good enough to keep me coming back.
