Amazing menu of 47 craft cocktails… I tried the pink lady and it was so delicious — gin, applejack, lemon juice, grenadine and egg whites. The décor was quite simple, but the atmosphere was lively. Helpful, efficient bartenders too!

Basis for my starred ratings(which skews heavily to the food or drink): 1 star: Never again. 2 stars: Poor food, poor experience, extraordinary measures in order for me to come back. 3 stars: Average, nothing really special, nothing particularly bad. 4 stars: Very good, would definitely return. 5 stars: A favorite, one of the best. There’s a reason this place was written up by the New York Times. There’s a part of me that doesn’t want the secret out, but this is one of the best cocktail bars in the country. Yes, that’s comparing it to PDT and Employee’s Only in NYC and Varnish and The Edison in LA, and Canon in Seattle. The bartenders are personable. The drinks — inventive. Some are revelatory. Twerkman’s Comp, excellent. Loki’s Journey, excellent. They introduced me the Last Word and they make the best that I’ve had.(Chartreuse is underrated and amazing.) We’ve always been treated well here and the drinks have never disappointed, either the house drinks or the classics. Great, great little bar.

At first I thought my friends were taking me to get my kidneys stolen and sold in the black market. I would have never found this place, nor would I have stumbled into this hole in the wall even if I walked by it. This is by far my favorite place to grab a drink. They have some real mixologists who know what they are doing. They are small, so expect to stay standing if they are busy. I highly encourage you to check this place out!

I am so happy I stumbled upon this bar two years ago. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing bar downtown with unique hand crafted cocktails this is the spot for you. My fiancé and I always pop in at least once a month on date night downtown to talk. The service is always amazing and the drinks are incredible. This is a must if you live in Tucson or are just visiting!

Best drinks in town. Very inventive mixes. Also have more typical drinks, but usually with some sort of flair. Keep it a hidden secret.

Small, quaint, great service and incredible drinks. Perfect date for a weekday, it gets too busy on the weekends. Love the vibe.

I don’t think I have ever left one star until now. I would have left less if I could. I wanted to love this place. The interior is intimate and small like their restaurant, 47 Scott. I am so disappointed with the service we received here last night. Coming from somebody that has a plethora of restaurant and bar experience from being in the industry for a while, as well as my boyfriend being a past bartender, we were both so disappointed. There are only six tables and the small bar area. There was one bartender and one server that seemed to be making her own drinks too. Our drinks came out relatively slowly and we never saw the server again. Well, we did, but she never came to the table to check on us for a full hour. I had to go to the bar to ask for a check where she was flirting with some dude(maybe her boyfriend? They were hugging it out quite often). And then even after waiting again for her to take our cards, she never came to grab it so we ended up just paying cash and leaving. The most terrible service I have had in a VERY long time, which is so unfortunate seeing all of the positive reviews about this place. Huge contrast with the restaurant, 47 scott, that we ate at before this. The lack in service was just unbelievable. I will go back to 47 Scott. I will never go back to this cocktail bar.

I can’t believe I haven’t rated this establishment yet. Five stars to you! I tried such an interesting cocktail here. What I remember was a few things: 1.) Our bartender was very cool, 2.) my drink was extremely tasty and unique, and 3.) the atmosphere was that of a small speakeasy. I’ll be back.

The Northern Belle is exquisitely crafted. The lavender oil spritz atop the drink not only smelled wonderful but it truly elevated the standard by which I will judge all future speakeasy-type establishments. Small, intimate environment. Perfect for a date or a small gathering of friends.

Let me start of by saying that my hubby and I are beer lovers. We have never ever been to a fancy cocktail bar like this one but it came highly recommended by my niece that lives in Tucson so we decided to get out of our comfort zone and try it. It’s a very small room with a small bar, but it never seemed too crowded and we always felt as though we were getting individualized attention. The bartenders are basically cocktail chefs, creating masterpieces of the liquid variety. It was fascinating to watch all that went into the making of one drink. The seasonal menu was interesting and varied, but my hubby asked for a drink with strawberry in it and the bartender made him a drink so tasty, he wouldn’t even let me taste it. This is a fantastic place to go for a date night or with a small group of friends.

Ok keep in mind that this place used to be my five star. read on. This was my first speakeasy back in 2012. It was awesome. Low key, fantastic bartenders. You name it they can make it. Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Martinez, any classic. The bartenders then were Charley and Nicolas. Both addicted to craft cocktails and complimented each other very well. And they were creative! The best times were off nights when the crowds didn’t overwhelm the experience. That’s when you get to really sink your teeth into was craft cocktails are about and explore the flavors, combinations, and history that make this scene so interesting. Unfortunately, over my year there in Tucson, the experience became inconsistent. People have to move on sometimes and eventually both Nicholas and Charlie moved on to bigger and hopefully better things. The people that replaced them were ok, but it wasn’t the same. And this is what you come to realize in the food and drink industry. For me, it was good while it lasted. It may have changed for the better since last year(2014) when I left, but just a little sad that it had to change some. Oh yeah it’s an unmarked door on Scott St next to 47 Scott.

Strolled into this establishment on a thurs night and it was a decent choice. I’ve been to some very snooty and fancy speakeasies in my time, and this is not one of them. Take that how you will, some people visit these places for that kind of experience. As for me, I love a place that can take an order by 3 flavors you’d like to taste and they can expertly craft something with such precision and artistic creativity you’ll either absolutely love or quickly educate you on what you don’t. For the life of me I cannot remember what I ordered here, but it was pretty good(not the greatest). When we walked in the place was about 2⁄3 full and had a small front room with intimate style settings. Not sure what was in back other than restrooms. Most(if not all) patrons were from the local college. I wish I could say this speakeasy was anything but run of the mill, but I can’t. Overall an average experience, nothing super special. One point off for waiting nearly 15 minutes before the bartender came to take our order. Things like that I can understand if the place was packed, but it wasn’t. This may sound like a negative review, but that’s not my intention. I’d go there again. It’s a decent, quiet place to chill with a small group if friends… whether it be work or college.

Scott & Co is one of those rare prohibition-style bars that consistently serves quality drinks. I’ve spoken to a few of the bartenders who say that they go to bartenders’ conferences each year to hone and share their craft. That’s commitment right there. My favorite is the Bartender’s Choice. It’s a little on the pricey side(~$ 15), but well worth it. Name your desired flavor profile and spirit of choice; then they’ll whip up something creative, tasty, and exciting. I usually say something like, «I want something frothy, creamy, and with a good balance of flavors… with gin.» And that’s exactly what I’ll get — with a twist! The atmosphere is cozy, dark, and intimate. Go there with just a few of your closest friends for a good time.

An example of excellence in service. The connection between bartender and patron is no more closely felt than at Scott & Company. Each cocktail is made with tremendous attention to detail, DEMANDING to be enjoyed slowly.

All hail the cocktail dive!!! These guys KNOW their liquor. And their cordials. And their liqueur. And their infusions. And their bitters. I LOVE it here. This is a place where you can tell them a flavor profile you’d like your cocktail to emulate, and they take it as a personal challenge to make you exactly your request. Bear in mind, however, that none of them would ever disrespect the classics! THIS is the place to order an Old Fashioned. A margarita. A sidecar. A sazerac. You might not recognize the flavor because you’ve not been to a real bar in quite some time(also give The Parish a try for classic cocktails), but if your palate has any hipster in it, it’ll be super pleased by the flavor of cocktails that have been cool since before the word cool. This is definitely my first stop whenever I go out downtown.

If you’re looking for sultry place to have a great drink, this place will satisfy your alchy taste buds for sure. I wish there were more small bars like this back in SoCal! AMBIANCE — 5STARS I immediately liked the ambiance upon stepping into the bar via a secret back hallway that adjoins the restaurant 47 Scott next door, which was super convenient because it was rainy outside! When we arrived for a bday dinner next door and were told there was a wait, someone came up with a genius idea to sneak next door for a drink while we were waiting for the table. There was plenty of seating when we arrived around 8 pm and we chose a cozy little booth on the side. SERVICE– 5STARS The bartender was super knowledgable about his craft and made some helpful recommendations. My drink tasted exactly as he described! Perfection! He also had separate checks ready for us very quickly. DRINKS — 4STARS The drink names are so fun! My drink I think, was called the Northern Negotiator, which had apple Jack and a hint of balsamic reduction. It was slightly salty, sweet and strong, and kind of weird, just how he had described! I liked it. My girlfriends also ordered drinks with some fun names. I think taste-wise I really liked the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, I might order that one next time. They’re all so fun and different & I’m sure there’s something for everyone. The only bad thing is that the drinks are kind of pricy — BUT they are strong. These are definitely hand-made specialty drinks, not your club drinks that are just thrown together with splurts of vidka and soda flying everywhere. If you want to get your drink on hard core, you might go broke; but for a pre-dinner drink a few people or a late night rendezvous, it’s perfect :) PS — icing on the cake? Latin/salsa music playing in the background! :))))))

DARK speakeasy atmosphere that serves specialty cocktails WITHOUT the lines & hassle of getting into the bar like the NYC speakeasies PLUS the specialty drinks aren’t as pricey as i’d expect, about $ 10 a drink –cigars on ice: refreshing! it had a pear eau de vie(which a learned is a brandy) you can seat yourself! we came around 11pm and were lucky that a lot of people happened to be leaving at that time

Drinks: The drinks here are amazing! Hand crafted cocktails are an art here, something like I have never tasted! If you tell the bartenders what you like and don’t like, they will create something special just for you. I have never had a bad drink here. Service: The«bartenders»(feel like this title doesn’t do them justice) are the best we have found! They know the liquors, the know the history surrounding drinks, and lastly they take their time to get to know you. Atmosphere: Small intimate setting Happy Hour: $ 2 Off drinks from 6−7pm, Monday — Saturday(they are closed on Sunday and they open at 6pm M-Sat)
