Saint Charles Tavern

Great bar, lots of good brews on tap – huge space. Tucked away, which I like. Hopefully it stays a best kept secret (kinda like Tucson itself). :)

I went for Happy Hour on New Years Day with my friends Diane and Tracy. I loved the vibe here! It was so friendly, like a bunch of people who have known each other forever getting together. You can bring your own food in, which several people did. There’s a good combination of draft and craft beers, comfy couches, and a jukebox. There’s also a room with pool tables. Great place!

I absolutely adore this bar! We came with a few friends to celebrate New Years, the outside was a bit intimidating but the inside has a modern antique/​vintage twist.
The inside has sleek wooden floors, large tables for groups, pews from an older Tucson chrurch, and near the bar if you look at the ceiling there’s tile from the Centennial Hall. Used to be a brothel in the early 1900’s! I’m in love with the décor and the history of it that comes together in here. There’s two pool tables and one pinball machine if you wanna play any games.
There’s a nice large backyard area to hangout or smoke. The bathrooms are very well kept. Grand selection of drinks at great prices. The bar doesn’t fit a stereotype when it comes to patrons: all are welcome!
It’s a fairly new place and I’m pretty impressed!
I got to meet and introduce myself to the owners, Elizabeth and Church Hill, and they were very proud of their bar and extremely polite to their customers.
I definitely see myself coming here more often.

Saint Charles es un ejemplo excelente de la cultura en Tucson. Por fuera un poco descolorado por el sol pero por dentro muy cálido y amigable lleno de vida.
Esta taberna que esta empezando su negocio en el sur de Tucson tiene buena selección de cervezas locales, nacionales e internacionales.
Tiene mesas comunales enormes en donde puedes venir con todos tus amigos o con tu pareja y disfrutar de una buena conversación tomando unos tragos.
Los precios son normales a cualquier bar en Tucson y además no tratan de ser pretenciosos con bebidas o cócteles de $ 15. También tienen mesas de billar y una rocola.
Si estas en el área tienes que parar en Saint Charles y su no, pues también!
