Went back and saw a roach in the wall. Got sick and then the Heath department found many critical violations that had to be fixed. We use to go here 2 times a week. Never again! It’s cheap because you get what you pay for.

Authentic Mexican foods. We went because of Unilocal reviews and they didn’t let us down. The chili rellano was quite different and it packed a surprising taste. I got the rellano, enchilada and taco combination and i cleared that plate easily. My wife is picky picky picky when it comes to Mexican food and she really loved the shrimp fajitas. Shrimps in Tucson, who knew? I am a Southern Californian so Mexican authentication is really a plus. I wasn’t thrilled about the corn tortillas, they tasted packaged.

I would for sure give them 3 and half stars and an extra star for the mariachis that showed during breakfast. The service was very attentive and the ambiance was perfect for me. Food was ok but I’m a spoiled ass when it comes to Mexican food, from my grandmothers food to living in San Antonio for many years so I’m hard to impress. I had the red menudo on the buffet and it was ok. I enjoyed it but for me the drive from the east side was only rewarded by the smiles of the servers and the mariachis playing my grandmothers favorite song so I know she was there seeing if the food was going to take hers a notch down but hey who can compete with any grandmothers cooking. I’ll be back when I’m on this side of town.

I gave it 3 stars because my experience was average, it wasn’t terrible but it didn’t make me want to rush back. i ordered a chimichanga! It was tasty, I would get it again. The service was also pretty good, they were friendly but no pushy. I would recommend people try it, but I am not raving about it! Give it a try!

Went here for lunch with my daughter and we both agreed the food was very good. The chips were fresh and warm, but the salsa was very disappointing. It even looked weird — light pink instead of red, and very bland. Maybe we just chose a bad day for salsa? We would definitely eat here again, but we would not tell the server if we had a Groupon until it’s time to pay. I understand that some people don’t tip correctly when they use discount coupons. Our server must have been stiffed a time or two, because she chose to ignore us after we asked what we could order with our Groupon. My mistake!

Went for the dinner buffet the other night. Nice cute clean little place. We all liked the atmosphere and the service was great. The buffet was very small and limited but most of what was available was very tasty. We were greatly disappointed though that the buffet didn’t include any enchiladas or tamales. We would have rated this 5 stars if the buffet included more options.

Menudo(red and white) is available daily. Club went up on a Tuesday? Come get some menudo here on Wednesday instead of waiting for the weekend. The evening I went, nearly all of the staff came by to say hi and ask how I was doing. There’s plenty of combinations on the menu if you want to try something new. Rich’s recommendation: Tres Amigos margarita on tap. If you have too much, there’s always menudo.

Good chips and salsa. Charming atmosphere. Greasy tacos filled with a hamburger patty, not very good.

Great buffet, but it is extremely limited, as compared to others I have tried in other cities. However, what they have, although limited, is fantastic. I love the red chili meat, which has amazing flavor. The rice, beans, chimichangas, are all great. The only bad thing about eating here is that I eat too much, since it’s so good. It’s also pretty cheap, around $ 20 for two people eating the buffets. A nice place to eat Mexican in Tucson!

We had Sunday brunch here. The food was great. The buffet wasn’t very big but it was very good. The roaming mariachi band really made the place enjoyable on a Sunday morning. I would eat here again. It was around 25 dollars for 2 with iced teas and we felt this was very reasonable for what we got.

Buffet or Menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cons: The chips were burnt tasting, salsa was runny and a little too spicy. The Iced Tea was way too strong. The rice had no flavor and the refried beans were too thin. Pros: Chicken fajitas were tasty and the service was good.

Last night dinner for 5. Margaritas that tasted like punch. Received new ones. The shrimp Fajitas my sister ordered was very good served on a dinner plate no iron skillet. The shrimp has grown since I was there 9 months ago. The last time small shrimp. Last night very good size. Tampequina steak good. Maybe we’ll start going again

I’ve been to Rigo’s on 4th and was very pleased but the one on Oracle Rd was disappointing. The food was cold and it was extremely difficult to wave a waiter down for a refill. Tables around us were not cleaned up so in coming customers would have to search for a clean table. After waiting 15 minutes we ended up waving down a kitchen cook to have our waiter bring the check. The waiter arrived and didn’t know we were one of his tables even though he gave us menus, brought chips and took our order… I will be only going to the 4th Ave location for now on.

Know what’s good for a hangover after spending the weekend at KIIMFM’s Shannon’s Slumber Party at El Conquistador? Rigo’s red menudo. Quality dish with amazing flavor. Know what’s bad for a hangover after spending the weekend at KIIMFM’s Shannon’s Slumber Party at El Conquistador? Mariachis. Too much Bésame Mucho in a tight little space. Oh my head. Borrachos!

This place is great. Been here several times but we only do the buffet. The ladies that service us are very kind and try and get us what we need. The food is always good and the menudo is the best I’ve tasted since my nanas. The only issue I have is certain people will say that our 4 year old and 1 year old eat free and others will say that they cost $ 3.99. Not sure if that’s just miscommunication or some people were told one thing while others were told another.

A friend and i came here a few nights ago after finding this sweet deal on Groupon for a «Mexican Meal for Two with Appetizers, Entrees, and Drinks. The weather was amazing that evening, and decided to grab a table out on the patio. Just wish the patio had more of a view besides the parking lot and the street. Started off with their tasty mango margarita on the rocks(recommended by the server) — Super smooth, strong, and delicious. Best part of the drink is the slice of mango at the end of it! As for food, we shared a stake chess crisp for our appetizer. For my entrée, I ordered a dish called«Tierra y Mar(Surf & Turf). A tenderized stake serves as a bed for six jumbo shrimp, which are then covered with their chef’s secret ingredient sauce. Also came with a side of rice, beans and tortillas. Every bite was to die for! Mr. Rigo himself came out and asked how we were doing and if the food and drinks was to our likings. Sure means a lot, when the owner takes time just to talk to you. Our waiter was very talkative and amazing. Let’s just say, my glass was never empty. I’ll be back to try there breakfast/lunch buffet. Till next time, KCYE…

Their huevos rancheros was just eggs on a plain raw corn tortillas with tomatoes on it and a side of refried beans. To top it off, it went through me and my sons body in 5 mins if you get what I mean. I had no problems with my server. She was great.

This is one of your better choices for quality Mexican food on the NW side of Tucson with excellent value. The beans are super terrific! The down sides are the place is small and crowds up very fast so go early and the parking lot is tiny, beyond that its a great place.
