This place is pretty rad! I haven’t been to too many places in Tucson, but I actually really liked the environment and the set up here. Three different areas… Main Restaurant, basement, and TV Room. Also, everywhere has air conditioning. The restaurant is a typical sit down area with a bar/tv, booths, tables, etc. good for families. TV Room is where I spent time with my coworkers, they have ~40 different types of beer to choose from. Tables to sit at to watch any sports on a pretty big size television. Cornhole game outside too which is always fun. The basement is a cool dark lit room that serves mostly cocktails. A line of booths for seating or sit at the bar. No TVs down here, so it’s a little quieter if you’re just there to hang out. The bartender was amazing though, he is an artist when it comes to making cocktails. The only downside to this place is the pizza really isn’t that great. I was expecting something a little better, especially from a pizza place. Pretty thin crust.

The food was good, but don’t get the pasta. You’ll be sadly disappointed by the amount of pasta you get. I’m sure that’s the«serving size» but when you’re paying $ 17 dollars for pasta I expected more.

Love this place. Service never fails to be outstanding, the pizzas have been cooked properly for each visit. One of my favorite things to do, is to tell the bartenders what I like in a drink and let them come with a drink based a short description. They have never failed to impress me with what they make. This has also been a great place to take guests from work. The menu offers nice variety, and is a nice introduction to the flavors of Tucson.

Place is cool. Ok ish service but super expensive. The bartenders downstairs are pretty slow, I mean I get that you are busy but there are 3 of you and a barback to one small area. You can make more than one order at a time. This place is super hipster tastic in that they avidly promote their spinach parsnip celery infused drinks. I don’t know who actually orders that crap. Finally, the Moscow mule was overdone with the lime, bleh. I was looking at the spirit menu after that. They do not carry a majority of brand name labels for good booze. Instead they have off brand cheap crap that they substitute instead so everyone thinks that’s really good and cool but in reality it’s really not-super hipster.

Stopped here for a late lunch while in Tucson for a few days. The menu is short, but a good variety. I ended up getting the meatball Pizza lunch special. Amazing just isn’t a good enough word! The crust was perfectly hand tossed and cooked to perfection. The simple salad of fresh greens was a good compliment as it didn’t have too much dressing. I also had the marinated olive bowl. Wonderful compliment to the meal. Reilly’s was a great find, and I would return there when back in Tucson.

On a visit from Phoenix, my wife and I were looking for great pizza and a cool place to get out of the heat. We found this gem in the heart of downtown Tucson. The building is older, art deco period façade but stepping inside was a pleasure for the senses. Great décor awaited, and the aroma from the kitchen beckoned us. Our waitress was very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu. We both ordered a small pizza and side salad. The food was so good. The craft beer selection was fantastic! We will definitely be returning in the future.

Vibe on! Well done space with several options; upscalish big city restaurant space; indoor /outdoor beer garden and downstairs bar /speakeasy. We did the restaurant. The food ran from so so to very good. The pig face app was tasteless and way salty. Brussels sprouts .heh. Again salty and greasy. Pies were good. Surprisingly, the fennel sausage pasta was the big hit. Cool place for evening out

Basis for my starred ratings(which skews heavily to the food or drink): 1 star: Never again. 2 stars: Poor food, poor experience, extraordinary measures in order for me to come back. 3 stars: Average, nothing really special, nothing particularly bad. 4 stars: Very good, would definitely return. 5 stars: A favorite, one of the best. Sorry, can’t jump on the bandwagon here. My wife don’t complain about the pretense here, we didn’t experience any. But just comparing the pizzas to the ones we have here in Phoenix and around the States, can’t give it 4 stars. It was an average pizza kind of night. So they’re basically Neopolitan pies with small twists. We always get the margherita to compare with every other one out there, and we got the arugula and prosciutto. We don’t doubt they source the best ingredients here, but these pizzas fell well short of the best. We like blistered crusts, but most of our were over-burnt. The parts that were not had decent chew but not as tasty as say, Bianco or Mozza. Altogether, the pizzas, like I said, were fine. Neither of us, though, were jumping out of our seats in excitement. So I would still recommend going. Maybe this was on off-night for us, we will be back to try this place again, but for now, average Neopolitan-style pizza is in the books.

Not a frequent reviewer but had to review this place. Great fried brussell sprouts and beer but a little pretentious for me. I appreciate truffle fries but having eastern fries with ketchup most of my life I sometimes use it even on truffle fries. When I asked for done I was told they don’t use it here. I could have aioli for the fries if I desired. Really I can’t have the condiments I want for my meal? Also noticed no salt or pepper available on the table. I understand the concept but still prefer the option to season my food to my taste.

Yep. Still just 3 stars. Went in with some friends for late night a few weeks ago. We went to the basement and ordered a few cocktails. For being such pros, I had issues communicating flavor profile specifics to the bartenders… I started with a drink that I chose and told the bartender it was a bit sweeter than what I wanted for the second round – he made me something so cloying that someone else at my table ended up having to drink it for me. Basement atmosphere was… how do I say this… hmmm… poorly lit? I think they were going for the whole speakeasy feel, but it ended up feeling like the nocturnal critters exhibit at ASDM instead. Cool brick walls and interesting crap hanging up, but I just didn’t love the ambience. They were setting up for live music as we left, but we didn’t check it out.

I’m gonna start by saying that I have loved the Reilly speakeasy –their downstairs bar– since it opened. I have introduced this joint to a large community of friends(~30 of my colleagues) and we have enjoyed Reilly as a post-work hang out. The bartenders even recognize me in a positive light every time I go. Last night, however, different story. After purchasing a round of many mixed-drinks for myself and my friends(with no «last call» ever being sounded), the lights were switched on 5 minutes before closing. We were then ordered at by what seemed to be the manager to chug and leave. So here we are, 6 of us, with full glasses of elaborate and delicious mixed drinks in our hands, and we simple ask«Can we just finish these? They’re so good!» For the first time in my 9 years of legal drinking, the answer was a surprising and cold«no.» We were trying to drink up as fast as we could(and with each cocktail averaging $ 8 – 10, who wouldn’t!) but suddenly, we had bouncers and three bartenders in our face aggressively telling us to leave at what now was three minutes after closing. Not only did this sour our experience, but it ended up in an altercation of sorts where a bartender wrestled a drink out of a female friend’s hand. Needless to say, my friends and I left completely appalled at the manner in which they treated their regular customers. I now unfortunately cannot recommend them anymore, and I know that they just lost what I had hoped to be a longtime relationship. tl;dr Longtime customers treated poorly by staff; we wont be coming back. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a late-night hang.

I can’t believe I didn’t come here earlier! I LOVELOVELOVE pizza; the cheap, the delivery, the frozen, the gourmet, brick fired, etc — each has their pros/cons and special tastes. Usually I’m pretty hesitant to order to what seems like small overpriced«gourmet» pizzas at restaurants, but how can I not order that here when pizza is part of their restaurant name? My friend and I ordered the meatballs and garlic cheesy bread for appetizers and the arugula pizza as an entrée. This was more than enough to make 2 hungry girls full and have half a pizza as left over. The meatballs were huge! 4 palm sized, packed with flavor meatballs which were smothered in cheesy marinara sauce. The garlic cheesy bread was by far the best — toasty, not too strong of a garlic taste, and stringy melted cheese on top. It was even better when we dipped it into the marinara sauce from the meatballs! We ordered a whole arugula pizza, but our server accidentally gave us a half arugula half potato/garlic(?) pizza. We didn’t turn it down because it gave us a chance to try more of their food! :) The potato one was okay, maybe not my cup of tea. It was heavy, starchy, full of cheese and large full cloves of garlic. The arugula half was AMAZING on the other hand. Salty prosciutto with fresh arugula and melted cheese. I am INLOVE with it. The restaurant is beautiful, modern, and clean. This a good place for a date :) The price is a little steep for a small pizza(~$ 11), but in all honesty, I can say it was worth it! I’ll be back again to try some more small plates/appetizers and pizzas ! Tips: — Happy hour is «downstairs» in the bar area ONLY. Includes drinks and $ 6 personal pizzas Recommendations: — Arugula Pizza — Garlic cheesy bread Environment: 5⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 Price: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5

Holy cow! I don’t even know where to start. I’ve given this place more chances than I can explain. So, this last visit we were absolutely overcharged. We were told that cocktails were on happy hour and so was wine. We ordered a pizza(not on happy hour) and a salad(also not on happy hour) and 5 drinks. It all came to 90.00! How does that happen? I’ll explain. The wine ended up being NOT on happy hour since we asked for a Pinot noir and didn’t specify that it was going to a HOUSE wine. However, should we the server ask? We were told that wine was on happy hour right before we ordered it! Also, we ordered 3 Moscow mule, but was charged 15.00PLUS9.00 for the ginger beer! What?! For one. They probably used one bottle of ginger beer for all 3 of our drinks… And I’ve never been charged separately unless the bottle of ginger beer is given to me and I can pour it myself… I am just so confused how this happened… The service was fine each time I have been except this most recent time. He had SUCH an attitude. He definitely seemed like he didn’t want to be there. We still tipped him 20% so I hope he is happy. We are super easy to wait on. I’m so upset. Will not go again. Only giving two stars because the food has always been good, but not for that price!

Another happy hour favorite of mine! Not the best, but definitely up there with the rest. My item favorites: — Tres Leches Tiramisu — served in a mason jar, creamy cream that is to die for, definitely a MUST order — Fennel Sausage & Peppers pizza — good crust that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, tastes wonderful but nothing spectacular — Truffle fries — love the mountain of Parmesan that topped these deliciously truffle flavored fries — Dry Hopped Apple Cider — the perfect alcoholic apple cider, not too sweet, just right Contrary to most other reviews on here, my friend and I did not enjoy the Brussels sprouts, which was indistinguishable when the server brought it out. It was drenched in grease and tasted like it was marinated in oil for days on days. If you are not looking for a myocardial infarction, please skip it. PASS. Reilly does get busy, even on weekdays, so be sure to come early if you do not want to wait. Our server was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a good experience. Make sure you save room for the tres leches tiramisu! Enjoy!

Sorry this is very popular with many people and they have a strong following. Parking down town is a pain most of the time. The menu just does not fit with my palette. They have odd combinations. I do not care for the flavor. Large selection of drinks. Loud and busy, crowded place.

Man, this place is the bee’s knees! They have done up the craft beer/food and downtown rustic feel really well. I’ve been here in several different settings and am always glad I chose to stop by. We even had our bible study and beer here one week and it was great! This is an awesome place to try some new beers(or cocktails downstairs in the Tough Luck Club). The bartenders at the Beer Garden area are pretty well educated on their beers and can describe what they’re serving with great detail. Everything from the option of playing corn-hole, to watching the giant projector TV in the Beer Garden, the vibe in this place is on point. I can’t wait to come back here again!

I went to a get-together at this place with my wife. There’s a restaurant in the front but the biergarten in the back is full-service and more fun IMO. Since this was a big group, I got to try a few things. First was a mushroom pizza(the Roasted Crimini Mushroom). It was pretty good but I prefer a red sauce. The mushrooms were really big and had a nice flavor though, and the crispy crust was just right. But it’s pretty pricy($ 15) for the size. Next up were the truffle fries. These were really tasty — the others must have agreed with me because they disappeared fast! Last was the margherita pizza. I liked this the best; the sauce had a good flavor and the cheese tasted fresh. Again, the crust was great as well. And this was cheaper than the other pizza($ 12). I also grabbed a beer — their Summer Solstice cream ale. It was pretty solid, and they have a good selection — but I think the beer is a bit expensive, with most pints ranging between $ 6 and $ 9 and no happy hour. Overall, this place is pretty cool, if a bit pricey. I’d come back again for another get-together for sure. Also there’s a speakeasy in the basement, but that’s another review…

Reilly is simply the apex of pizza in Tucson. Friends, I know people will try to steer you toward Pizzeria Bianco. But don’t listen to them. Placate them – whatever you have to do. Do yourself a favor and take a right turn off Congress onto Scott and get yourself to Reilly. Look, it’s not cheap. But it’s also not Pizza Hut. Reilly had the atmosphere, the food, the downtown location, and the staff who’ll let you enjoy your food. Full disclosure: I’m a bread fiend, and the major reason that Reilly gets my endorsement is because of the crust. It’s chewy, it’s crunchy it’s sublime – not the Long Beach Sublime, but the 18th century landscape painting sublime. Call ahead for a table and get that out of the way. Just in case. Make your way back to the newly opened back area. For starters, order the mushroom polenta or the seasoned brussel sprouts(yes, seriously, the sprouts are good). Get a drink – the house wine will do. From there, I’d recommend the crimini mushroom pizza. One per person. From there, go to the secret basement bar and have a drink. It’s a really nice place to escape and get a little too intoxicated. Don’t drive home, though. Call a ride share and enjoy Tucson’s best bacchanalia.

Reilly is both a super dark indoor restaurant AND a bright beer garden out back. don’t be discouraged by the wait! For 2 ppl on a saturday night we were quoted 45 minutes but were seated in 15PLUS we were able to stop by the beer garden while we waited —tuscan caesar kale salad:(they were nice enough to split the salad for us) i enjoyed the salad & toasty croutons —half crimini mushroom/half fennel sausage pizza: they like to put HUGE toppings on their pizza which can be a bit overwhelming but i liked the crispy crust although it was a bit dense. glad we shared since the pizza was HEAVY with lots of cheese a nice weekend dinner option!
