Planet Smoothie

For a smoothie joint basically operated by students, they really got something special going here. Açai bowls are perfection, and the smoothie menu hits the sweet spot between healthy or protein loaded but also has delicious sweet treats. You can custom order any type of smoothie. The kids running the front are always pleasant and my order is painless. I wish they had fresher toppings for the bowls and froyo, cutting them in advance leaves lots of toppings dry and unappealing. Sometimes the Açai bowl blend have too much ice making the bowl a tiny bit runny, but of course the granola and honey make up for it all tenfold. Loyalty program is unobtrusive and you dont even need to opt-​in to marketing texts, 20 visits and you get a complementary smoothie.
I always come here when the smoothie craving hits, because I know it will be a consistent product and they haven’t let me down yet. One thing about smoothies I’ve learned is that there are ice base and there are cream base, you need to know most here will contain milk, yogurt or fruit juice which gives them a creamier consistency.

The first time I ordered here I got a small chocolate Elvis. The second time I ordered a medium chocolate Elvis. The third time I came back I got a large. I only order the same thing over and over but it is so good. The staff is very friendly and the places has a nice vibe. I like the comfy seats they have out front.

One thing people! Acia Bowls!!! These awesome people know how to make a bowl right!!!
Do yourself a favor and pass up all the boring first date crap and get the pride of Brazil!
My fav?! Peanut butter blended with the Acia, granola, coconut shavings, bananas, starved toppings with yummy honey.

I’m soooooooo stoked that Michelle and family opened this new location downtown! Employees are always happy and positive. Family-​run business with a healthy and yummy menu. I always chase my Tumamoc Hill workouts with a PHABULOUS lemon crunch Planet Pro smoothie. Five Stars, no diggity /​no doubt!

Both on Unilocal and Google this place was listed as closing at 9 PM. Paid for parking walked ½ mile and see that its closed at 7:30 PM. It was not a holiday and no hours of operation on the window. Please give correct hours of operation. Call to see if it’s open before you go. Second time I went it was closed early too.

Service was fast and friendly but the menu is deceiving. They label what should be a small as ‘lite’ then they go to small, med, and large. What’s with the additional size option? Keep it simple, what everyone knows… small, med or large. Now I’ve got more smoothie than I want and would be happier had I paid less and actually got the size I wanted.

K Dawg at planet smoothie is killing the smoothie game. Came in with a hangover and left feeling fresh thanks to her recommendation and Impeccable smoothie making skills. Might have to wife up Kirsten now because I never want to let my smoothie get low.
