I’ve taken a number of items to sell at Old Pueblo Coin over the past several years and have always had an excellent experience. They are fair, knowledgable, and a pleasure to deal with. I keep thinking I need to purchase something there rather than sell items, but I’m cleaning out my closets! These guys know their stuff and treat customers with respect. It’s a great shop and has a small-town feel. Definitely a great business to have in Tucson and a welcome alternative to other options.

After being made a ridiculous offer by Goo* Ol* To***. I called Old Pueblo Coin Exchange. They made me a reasonable offer on my 1oz. Krugerrand. I went in a bit later and they honored they offer and I walked out with $ 250.00 more than the other place offered me. I watch gold and I understand that they charge a fee for the purchase, that’s normal when selling gold. Tom tried to rip me off and these guys wee a breath of fresh air. I just wanted to buy a Smat TV and I did. I have more and the next time I want to sell one, I won’t have to shop around, I’ll just go to Old Pueblo and not fear about wondering if I could have done better. The price of gold is very volatile and changes hourly in some cases. It has been dropping steadily and so I knew I would lose on this. But, they took a minimal commision and made me feel good about my deal. Don’t be fooled by all the ads saying they pay the most for gold. the cost is the cost. End of story and this is an honorable place to do business. Not like a Car Dealer at all. I really recommend them.

I love Old Pueblo! As a newcomer to Tucson I have found the gentlemen at Old Pueblo to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very fair with payments of valuables I’ve brought in to sell. I will always support a local business, especially one like Old Pueblo. The staff has always treated me with courtesy and respect, something that a lot of women in the resale business do not receive.

In order to truly appreciate how Old Pueblo Coin Exchange is a notch above any comparable business, one must understand a few ideas first: — they operate honestly and very fairly for profit — just like the vast majority of businesses you may visit(except the Desert Diamond Casino, which should be the greediest of all businesses but does everything in it’s power to MINIMIZE and ELIMINATE profits) — there are several ‘similar’ places that just aren’t as fair and honest — like Bad Ol’ Tom who is a certified reincarnated train robber who terrorized old ladies in Santa Fe in 1879 unabashedly and now took his millions to legally heist people in similar fashion. — for the uneducated in bullion and collectibles, you may at first find places like this a little condescending — but they aren’t. They have to explain many concepts over and over on a daily basis to disbelievers… they actually have the patience of a saint. Now, let’s talk get down to brass tacks: PRICES: Fair all around. Book value mostly. They have showcase after showcase and almost anything you can’t find is probably in their back area — just ask them. They also have a bid board with Buy It Now as well as Auction Style items for sale, ranging in value from cents to a couple hundred dollars. Nothing is priced ridiculously — and some items they are open to reasonable negotiation. ATMOSTPHERE: Conveniently located on the corner of Columbus and Speedway, they have an elegant, clean, organized store — mainly dealing in coins, paper money, bullion, and a touch of ‘curiosity shoppe’ as well. Spacious, where other similar places are claustrophobic and closet like. PRODUCTS: A wide array of U.S. and foreign coins and paper money, gold and silver bullion(and occasionally platinum and palladium), a selection of books for sale and various other collecting tools of the trade, some autographs, stamps, pins, badges, old checks and other paper products, old toys, silverware, and various other collectible items(like casino chips). STAFF: This is where they truly shine. Rob(the owner) and Darren are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable guys who are so helpful and easy to talk to… but Ben is my personal favorite. Ben has an unparalleled sort of compassion and desire to go above and beyond while still being gently assertive. Truly unique and talented, and above all, top notch. If you want honesty, integrity, wide variety, patience, cleanliness and convenient location, then look no further — this is as good as it gets for buying, selling, and trading collectibles. Thank you guys, and keep up the great work.

If you are desperate and have no where else to turn to by all means go here. Be prepared to be offered pennies on the dollar of what your items are worth My advice sell or buy anywhere online before you get ripped off by these guys. Plenty of online dealers will pay you more than spot price for you coins, gold, or silver!
