Although I do enjoy the food here, I have to admit that this restaurant’s atmosphere and layout is bizarre. It’s obvious upon walking in that the physical building was not built as a Chinese restaurant… I get more of a Mexican/American restaurant feel, especially with all of the sports paraphernalia on the walls in one of the dining rooms. Then there’s the dark corner featuring a fireplace and various abandoned tools. Other than the physical space, however, I greatly enjoy the food. Everything seems to be fresh and replaced regularly on the buffets; my fiancé is a fan of the sushi bar in particular. I do wish they would renovate, but all in all, we still return regularly when we have a hankering for Chinese.

I actually like this place, Yes i agree that its not cleanest place but food is good, always fresh and hot, they have lots of different sushi, which is important for me. and if compare to other buffets they do them with real fish and avocado. So if don’t care a lot about restrooms, this will be a good place to go.

It’s a good chinese buffet. We enjoy going here, my daughter likes the«buffet» aspect. It’s different. For my part, I have never been to a chinese buffet that serves things like whole fish, hibachi style proteins, 3 kinds of soup, really great vegetarian dishes. The mushrooms are great, the green beans are really good… good variety of appetizers. Overall a solid buffet.

Dude!!! This place is just wrong on multiple of levels. My family and I went here on Christmas Day ONLY because everybody EXCEPTME was too impatient to wait a measly 30 minutes for Denny’s off Broadway and Wilmot Ave. Their(New China Super Buffet) Christmas Day price was $ 10.99 and I tell you none of that $ 10.99 goes back into maintaining the cleanliness of the joint. This place is NOT New and NOT Super by any means … its just China Buffet in my book. I would of been happier getting a soda and a Lean Cuisine at the Walgreens down the street OR order a pizza. The carpets are FILTHY. The bathrooms are on par with a bathroom you’d see at an olé Chevron or Shell station in Blythe, CA or Gallop, NM. I was sooooo scared to get sick, I opted out from eating, and I spent the time watching everybody else eat while nursing a Pepsi. I had a grand olé time watching my in-laws and wife pretending what they were eating was decent but I saw the looks on their face. The only other thing I remember is seeing the cook argue with what I think was management about not getting paid or asking for more help. It was in the dining area. Anyway I feel there are better places than this especially in 2016. If it was 1988 I would say this is a good place, but with so much variety now, I would not come at all.

Fresh eats, huge variety to choose from, service good. New booth seating now :) Pctures on the wall could use a good cleaning Windex(kids fingerprints, plus serious smudges on picture glass). Women’s restroom a little out-of-date. Each time we visit there are Suttle changes to better the ambiance & buffet presentation.

The first thing you notice about this place is the horrid smell! I’ll admit that the buffet has a large selection in comparison to other buffets I’ve been to in the area, but man the smell! The price is decent but the smell kept me from eating much of the food. Did I mention the smell? The condition of the restaurant itself was not the best. A professional cleaning crew needs to be brought in. And maybe that will get rid of the smell. Did I mention the smell?

This USED to be my kids and i favorite spot for Chinese Buffet in Tucson, not anymore! We hadnt been in 6 months or so but management changed and so did the quality of food, service, and dishes. 1st, our favorite noodles… no longer there, 2nd, lemon chicken was the best… now dry and flavorless and just nasty. My poor son vomited not an hour after eating, probably got sick from our table! There are small cracks in the table and you can see the food has been stuck in there for so very long. Do Tucson a favor and clean your establishment, get the recipes from the previous owner, or close your doors!

It is a Chinese buffet, so my expectations were not the highest, but I did expect better. The food was ok looking but I did see a few flies land on a few food items(EWW!) The things that I did feel like eating they were out of, like the sesame chicken. There were not very good at keep the food full or fresh. Plus they only refilled our waters once when we were basically done eating and they brought my water in a styrofoam cup but my boyfriends in a regular cup. Not sure if they ran out and needed to do the dishes, but that was strange. The lighting and décor is nothing to speak of and there were tacky signs posted around about keeping your children from running around the place.(I hate kids running around while I’m eating dinner too but the signs were pretty tacky.) I would not come back here. It wasn’t the worst but I wouldn’t exactly want to eat here again either.

If I could give negative stars, I would. The place is filthy. Both children and adults were running amuck, it was complete chaos. Calm down, if someone gets the last piece of chicken, I’m sure they’ll happily come by and refill it for you. The food did not taste good at all.

Reconsider eating here unless it is after the nuclear holocaust and this is the last restaurant left on Earth. I told the manager how bad the food is… he didn’t care. Super Barffet.

Every damn time I fall for it. My son loves this place so occasionally he cons me into going. He usually has pretty good taste so I think its more nostalgia that his grandparents used to take him here all the time when he was younger. So again, we end up at New China and as soon as we walked in the door I knew it was a mistake. It smells in there and the place looks so dirty. The booth we were seated at was falling apart. Let me break it down into two parts: Service — They took our drink order and it must have taken 20 minutes to get our actual drinks. I believe they stopped by once the entire time we were there to give us refills. Our waitress looked so despondent and annoyed the whole time my son felt sorry for her and thought something terrible must have happened to her recently or she was just hating her life in general. He actually asked me to give her a good tip because«everything else in her life must really suck right now.» Food — I usually get the hibachi food when I go to these types of places because I am not a big fan of Chinese buffet food. I go over to the hibachi section and it is so tiny! There were like 6 things to choose from. On top of that the beef container and the cabbage container were empty. I get a few things on the plate and take it to the guy cooking. He tells me there are two ahead of me so it will be a few minutes. OK… Then I look and he is cooking one order at a time on a big ol flattop grill. Maybe double up? There is plenty of room. I go sit down and wait about 15 minutes and go back up. He had not even started cooking my food. At this point I just grabbed a couple of things from the regular section that I thought were edible. But you know what, they were out of like 7 things on the regular buffet too including fried rice and noodles! I ended up with white rice and some orange chicken and grilled chicken. That’s it. I went back literally 20 more minutes later to check on the hibachi food and he was just finishing it up. It had so much sauce on it that it was disguising. I really do not get it. This place is packed all the time. Full of people. Its awful! And it’s not like there are not a million Chinese buffets in Tucson. I told my son never again… Gross.

Well, it’s a Chinese Buffett, so I don’t expect a lot. The service was pretty good. The poor guy had to attend to everyone in our section as well as bus all the tables. The food again was pretty fresh. I think it helps to go at 7pm and not 30 minutes before they close, the usual time we end up somewhere. The food was tasty, service better than expected, and the place pretty clean. Those are the 3 things that usually don’t happen at a place like this. Give it a try.

Dirty dirty dirty. You would think with the money this place is making they would be able to clean the walls. Booth seat upholstery cracked and old, mediocre food. I think people come here to overfeed the family because it is not for the aging, unkempt environment and average food. The servers were very pleasant though and I appreciated their hard work.

We went here for my nieces birthday, her choice. The place is filthy and unkept; I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a critter problem in the back. The food is cold and dry. Worst of all was the horrible lack of service. After being sat at an embarrassingly dirty table(how could you even trust the sushi.) It was just one thing after another, my mother-in-law asked for them to wipe down the table after noticing and the hostess made it very awkward. so, my mother-in-law asked the waitress to wipe it down for us and the waitress GRABBED A DIRTYTOWEL. On top of that she was so careless and rude. We obviously offended her by asking for a clean table. Well you can’t imagine it being worst then that but… It was, like I said the food was hit and miss, mostly miss and the service was questionable at best. The waitress also forgot to get my mother-in-laws drink and of course she wasn’t comfortable asking for another thing. Oh yeah, when we asked to speak to the manger, he didn’t even apologize or ask how we can fix it. NOTHING! Just, «oh, I didn’t know that was happening» well– it is, it would be nice if he came to our table or even out into the restaurant to see how you could help.

You get what you pay for when you go to a buffet. you dont expect the food to be top notch and people are on here complaining how certain foods were not so good & this and that. then go to a restaurant with menus. I personally think this was one of the better buffets in town. I ate and was full. thats all you can really ask for when going to buffets.

I’ve been coming here more as of late because Hibachi has failed on customer service. This is my new go-to Chinese buffet restaurant in Tucson. Along with China Star, this has become the longest-serving establishment of all-you-can-eat Chinese food. It took over for Hungry Hunters(for all you very long Tucson residents I hope you remember that place!). They could use a new code of paint inside and outside and newels booths, tables, and chairs. Also, they are inconsistent with how to pay for the bill. That’s pretty much the major negative about this place. In comparison to the other Chinese buffets, they have good customer service. More friendly when you walk in, and workers actually working. Smiles go a long way. The stir-fry vegetables are amazing. I like to get my green beans, broccoli, and mushroom on when I chow down. They make it very flavorful. The shrimp here is well-cooked and fresh, and the grilled chicken is very tasty. I also enjoy getting the baked seafood salad here. They have a nice selection of noodle dishes, and the always-unique bananas with strawberry glaze that makes for a great dessert! At first glance it doesn’t seem like they have a ton of options but that’s just because the layout makes it look small. They have a lot of options, including the Hibachi Grill. As stated earlier, this is the new place I will go to get my Chinese buffet fix.

New china super buffet, We have been coming here once month and as for the food… it is good, not the best but the buffet spread lots to choice from. There is buffet to make your own, just choice uncooked food then bring to cook window. Pretty good has some raw meat, veg, chicken and lots various. I like the food and agree with other reviewers that go to china restaurant order from menu is best. Buffet is still good and price is good. Three stars, the restroom men as for me picky about it. Place looks clean well… it is okay. Look down and up!

I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the selection is wicked broad. They have a nice assortment of Chinese and Japanese offerings, along with some American staples stuck in there. I also hear they have a grill out back, but have not yet ordered from the grill. Also, you can get some nice fresh fruit as well as ice cream along with a range of other desserts at the end of your meal. Or at the beginning of your meal. I know some of you do it! Also, the service is pretty hands off, but reliable. The servers come over to ask if you want something to drink, when you want refills and when you want the check. They didn’t give you that hurry-up-and-get-out feeling that is sometimes offered at other Tucson restaurants(buffet or not). Honestly, from what I’ve observed, most of the time the servers are attending to the actual buffet lines; cleaning the infinite messes patrons seem too enthusiastic to make, and cleaning tables and the floors. So, yes — to no praise of some of the restaurant goers here, this place is quite tidy. Quite. That gets to the other hand: Goodness, there is something sticky-finger-style about this place that I do not like. The feeling of the space is a bit of a hodgepodge. It feels simultaneously like an old converted ballroom, a gutted out Dennys and a spiced up truck stop restaurant. But that’s not even anywhere near the greatest of my concerns. This is the place where you see people stepping over others to get to the buffet just so they can pile their plates one foot high with orange chicken, crab puffs, beef and broccoli, egg rolls and a few pieces of a sushi roll jammed in on the edges for good measure. One toooooo many times I have observed people eating from their plates whilst STILL at the buffet line. Yes, folks, while still self-serving. Why do people do this? And I’m talking about grown adults, not small children here. All that to say that, yes, the offerings here are nice and, for the most part, tasty and fresh. I must say that, hands down, the sushi at this buffet is better than other sushi offerings at the Tucson buffets I have tried in the past. You know when sushi cuts come out lovely and plump, glistening with their natural oils? That was my experience here, and I hope that doesn’t change. Now, if only some of the clientele could learn to be a bit more respectful and responsible we could see another star on this review.
