There was a little sign out on Oracle Road pointing to the thrift shop 2 blocks down, and I’m so glad it was out there! This place is seriously awesome. It’s on the funky, dark, crowded side, in a cool way. I will admit that parking is a challenge; try for a close street spot. The merchandise hits the right note of kitsch and is in good shape, and the prices are seriously cheap. On the women’s clothing side, I saw labels like J Jill, Coldwater Creek, and genuine Birkenstocks. There’s a big rack of vintage as well. The owner is friendly and funny – good people. I will be back and bringing my sisters!

A GEM if you are a true thrifter. This is one of the last remaining places that make you feel like you are on a real treasure hunt; where you can get that thrilling feeling of finding something precious for very little gold. Its location is a bit ‘off the grid’ & I do recommend going in a pair if you are a woman who would appreciate having someone else with them. It is easy to get too, located within Tucson. You either immediately love the appearance or you will love it once you go inside. There were a few clothing bins outside with clothes piled high in them. I rolled my sleeves up and starting digging; some of it’s used clothing which I have no interest in but all of a sudden I saw colored lace and found 5 vintage full slips. I collect vintage lingerie and I have never found such a rare item sitting in a 25cent bin! It was thrilling! The inside is basically like a flea market-type thrift store mixed with chinese dollar store mixed with antique dealer on a budget. It’s super fun if you love having to walk really slowly and concentrate on what is all there. You can find a screwdriver, envelopes, sewing patterns, dishware, children’s clothing, jewelry, mariachi costume, that coffee grinder who didn’t want to buy new(still in original box). There was a vintage clothing rack, although the selection is small, the prices are so much fun $ 4.00-$ 6.00. I appreciate the thrill this gives to a collector and to families that can’t afford the high prices at Goodwill for a pair of jeans. The owner was very nice and seems to truly care about his community. He told me about the pop can heaters that were helping locals stay warm during the cold nights. They care of the re-use mission and they are providing a place where anyone can go to buy what they need. I feel like they are the type of business where if you couldn’t afford a jacket and you were homeless, they would give you 5. Parking was a bit difficult to find. Although, a bit scary at first, this is overall one of the best thrift stores I have been too.

Stephen King would approve! This thrift store is COOL! It’s hard to find initially, but you can take Oracle to Limberlost and turn west and follow it and find it on the north side of the road. It looks like a little trailer, and it’s massive inside. There are several rooms full of really really neat stuff. This isn’t your average clothing Thrift Store– in fact, the clothing is minimal really and they have vintage items. You’ll find locally made things, like once they had handmade pottery whistles. Board games, toys, electronics, gadgets, music, movies, and all kinds of items that seem to change often. The prices are really affordable. Good selection of jewelry. Bring cash and prepare to go crazy. Really cheap items are out front. Not much in the way of parking but you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot. It’s worth it. This store lives up to the King novel :)
