This is a pretty decent library! The book selection is adequate for the most part. As a book lover, I would of course love to see more books on the shelves, but I’m always able to find a handful of stuff to check out on every visit regardless. So the selection is decent. And remember, you can always log on to the Pima County Public Library website and have just about any book your heart desires sent to the library of your choice to be held for you.
The library itself is arranged nicely, and the aisles are wide enough for multiple people to browse at the same time without getting in each other’s way. There are plenty of quiet places set up to sit and read. And they have a good amount of computers, should you need one. Printers, too. The library, inside and the property outside, is always clean and approachable.
They have a couple of self check-​out stations that I’ve used once or twice. They’re fast and they work well. But I prefer to be checked out by a staff member, because what book lover doesn’t love talking to other book lovers given the opportunity?! And this library location specifically has very pleasant and helpful staff!

I love, love, love that the staff here are actually avid readers. Unlike going to a chain bookstore where people just work there because they can. I’ve mentioned before that I like «books that make you feel terrible». I took the advice from people here on the Unilocal message boards and loved those recommendations. I was out of things to read again, though.
Well, my daughter wanted to go check-​out some books to read during fall break, and I started talking to a staff member. I mentioned the kind of books I like and she immediately started giving me recommendations. Her knowledge of «heart wrenching» is impressive! She looked for some books for me, placed others on hold for me and gave me a list of a whole lot of authors I’d never heard of. Awesome! Now I have reading material for at least the next three weeks.
