No, no, no. I strongly advise anyone considering Landscape Design West to look elsewhere. Shelly Abbott is possibly the worst person I have ever worked with! She has zero interest in what her client’s have to say and implements her own ideas, despite client feedback.
I thought we had a landscape plan laid out and gave Shelly a deposit to get started. My wife and I were out of town for two months and when we returned, we discovered that what was in place was nowhere close to what we had discussed. Shelly’s response was, «Well, I thought this would be better.» What?!! This is our home, our yard!
I also learned that she hugely inflates the work her sub-contractor’s do, so that she can profit from their work as well. In the end, our $ 30,000 landscape design could have been done for nearly half that amount.
Stay clear of Shelly Abbott!
