One of my favorite spots for breakfast on the southside! It’s seems like it’s always busy but the waits never long. The kitchen is fast so tables turn around quick. And this isn’t your regular Jerry Bobs, there’s a whole menu of Mexican food so u can get chile rellenos, tamales, caldo de queso, and even menudo! Everything is good! On my last visit I had country fried steak and a bowl of menudo!

Just finish was there with some friends. It’s not that crowded today like I was expecting. I have to agree with some other reviews service very poor didn’t keep up with refills. I asked for over easy eggs and were over hard. My girlfriend had the chicken fried stake and it was tuff and not that good. I don’t think will come back.

A very popular spot judging from the people queued up at lunch on MLK day. A fairly typical diner menu with some specials(check the board on the wall behind the counter). I tried the breaded chicken sandwich, and at $ 6.50 guess I can’t complain that it was a patty rather than a whole piece of breast or thigh. Slaw was good as were the fries. My two dining companions fared better methinks with their breakfast selections, the huevos rancheros and the chilaquiles. Looking at some of the other reviews these seem to be popular choices. Servers were friendly but a little rushed trying to keep up with the crush — tip ém extra on a day like that.

I got a Groupon special for this place and I didn’t even spend the whole amount. Food looked and tasted like frozen food that had been heated up. Unfriendly staff and gross food. Will never go back.

We ate breakfast here a few weeks ago because it’s conveniently located near the Tucson airport. Don’t judge a book by its cover! The restaurant itself is nothing above average, but the food is on point! We ordered different items to include an omelet, pigs in a blanket, pancake sandwich and all were very good. It’s affordable, decent service and GREAT food!

Jerry Bob’s a Tucson franchise chain where are apparently each owner has latitude about how they run the place. Generally they’re pretty good nothing to write home about but this particular location has a Mexican flavor and its superior. I find the omelets are very good all the breakfasts are and they have excellent Mexican food much cheaper than you can get at a Doug Ducey style Mexican restaurant. The soups are very good the waitresses are busy but nice and the service is generally prompt. The place is usually crowded because the food is good and reasonable. Brava!

Stopped here for breakfast one morning because it looked busy. The food was amazing. The service was top notch. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Portion size was out of control.

This was my 3rd time eating at good olé Jerry Bob’s. Whenever I am in the Tucson area I always make sure to stop by for breakfast or lunch! The past two times I’ve been, I have had breakfast which is delicious. This time I went for lunch, and it was great, or as my waitress would say… FAAABulous. This family owned restaurant is a great atmosphere. The waitresses are always extremely nice and fun to talk with! The service is great, they always make sure everything is to your expectations, which it always has been in my experiences. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Absolutely blows the Denny’s across the street out of the water. Thanks Jerry Bob’s… Keep up the good work!

Food is good and generous, if you’re willing to wait forever just to get in. Dennys is next door but they are crap, and waffle house is across the street… next time I’ll go there if I actually want something decent and quick.

I like this place every other waitress here is really nice. But there is one lady I wish I had her name, she is super rude. My mom never had been to Jerry bobs before and was having a hard time deciding. The waitress puts both hands on the table and rolls her eyes at us. She was so rude through all of our meal. There is a young man there who is a bus Boy there who is always very nice and extremely helpful. He should be a waiter. I might not cone back because the service is getting bad.

Local. Unpretentious. Friendly but not forced. Nice food presentation and taste for what it is. Lots of breakfast options, and staff that doesn’t balk at a reasonable menu substitution or two. A great way to see some of the local scene for someone like me who is in town for just a few hours. Recommended.

Decided to check this place out while I was in town. Sat at the bar and watched some Rachel Ray. I am happy to say that this place was a great diner experience. I ordered right away and my meal was out in no less than 10 minutes. The food was piping hot and cooked exactly how I ordered. Easy scrambled and crispy bacon. Can’t go wrong checking in here.

As a culinary professional I was seriously disappointed in the service as well as the quality of my meal. I brought my family of 5 in for a late Sunday breakfast and was treated with so little respect I vow to NEVER eat there again. The waitress was the only shining light as she tried her best to make amends for my son finding hair in his food… the manager felt that replacing the side of beans where the hair was found and taking $ 1.02 off the bill was acceptable. I asked for the drinks to be comped and was look at and treated like I was trying to hold them up!!! I promise you I will never ever eat at this restaurant again… I wish I walked across the street and ate at Waffle House!

I’ve been eating here for years. Local favorite, fantastic food, huge portions, great service. The chicken fried steak and the soups are standouts. Thus place simply ROCKS.

Although the service was great and prices were cheap, the food was really disappointing. After seeing many of the positive reviews for Jerry Bob’s, I was hoping to be proved wrong about my general dissatisfaction with diner food. The food is generally cheap and the server who helped me was friendly and welcoming. They have a good mix of American and Mexican food options. However, what I ordered left me disappointed. Here is what I ordered: Eggs and chorizo: Besides the chorizo, the rest of the dish falls short. Chorizo, though salty, had a lot of rich spices and was cooked well. The eggs were cooked okay but it did not look like three scrambled eggs. Although the refried beans tasted okay, they were lukewarm which was made evident by the strands of cheese that failed to melt. As I mentioned earlier, the hostess was great. She was friendly and would come by to check on me regularly. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap bite, Jerry Bob’s is an okay option, but do not expect to be blown away by the food.

Friendly service and great specials posted on the back wall for your ordering convenience. The least expensive meal I had in Tucson, and plenty filling while being tasty to boot. The eggs(over medium) were prefect and just enough hash browns to help soak up some yolk. The coffee was decent and replenished frequently. A quick decent meal on the way to or from the airport.

Was visiting Tucson and I asked the guy at the car rental place at the airport for a good recommendation for breakfast near the airport. He said, I’d probably like Jerry Bob’s. He was right! I did. You get plenty of food for the money. They have some really reasonable specials. I had two eggs, a tamale, fresh tortilla, salsa, and beans for $ 5.99. The quality of food was very good. I can’t recommend the tamale though. Not so great. Not worth the calories. Had a funny taste to it. The flour tortilla was terrific, as were the beans and the salsa. Not sure if they make their own tortillas and salsa, but they seemed homemade. The place was packed with locals. They know a good place for breakfast or lunch when they find one. If you’re near the Tucson airport, and want some breakfast or lunch. This is your place. It’s easy to find, because it’s right next to Denny’s and across the street from the Waffle House.

Good food at great prices. You won’t leave hungry for $ 12. They get busy and disorganized so your meal might come out on three plates and minutes apart. The omelets, chicken fried steak, tacos, soups and burritos are great. I highly recommend the red shredded beef burritos served enchilada(mojado) style. The tortilla soup on Mondays looks excellent in a giant bowl. Plenty of rare Sonoran Chiltepiños on hand to authentically fire it up. Pancakes are giant plate size so 2 is plenty but three is available. Again the food is great and the prices are good but the plates often look naked and boring like each part is an added side rather than a commonly offered plate.

I’ve never in my life been treated so poorly by a waitress. This young lady was either going through the worst day of her life or has a giant case of the don’t give a s#$&s. I think it is the latter. She was rude, lazy and uncaring. When we asked what the specials were she rattled them off and when we said we didn’t catch what she said she scowled and didn’t repeat it. When taking the order for our food she was impatient and appeared to be irritated. When I asked for strawberry jam she said if it wasn’t on the table there wasn’t any. I asked if there was some on another table and miraculously she found some. After paying I let her know that she’d been incredibly rude and all that she said was«OK». Seriously??? OK? No apologies. Just OK. Worst service ever.
