It’s picture time. I had purchased a Groupon for three digital images and one print. I had to call 3x, before Victoria called me back to secure an appointment. I was unsure where the photo center was so we arrived early at 230 for our 3 appointment. Victoria was present and on a personal call as it was her lunch time. We waited. About 245 another woman arrived. Her name was Mel and actually took our photographs. I overhead Victoria tell Mel they had 15 appointments scheduled and if it was possible to please take us early. Mel took us about 255. Our photo shoot detailed two backgrounds, no props, no clothing changes and was over about 310 or 312. Around 315, a woman and man arrived for photos with their 5 children. From there, they were flooded. People arriving for photos, to pick up photos, calling for appointments. It was non stop, which means most of my time was spent waiting because I’d already reviewed and chosen my photographs. Even though I was ready to check out, I guess policy is to show the client enhanced pictures, collage photographs, ect to try to sell more. So, all those had to be made and shown to me before I could check out. Of course, this was done between checking people in, answering the phone and assisting people who had come in to pick up their photographs resulting in more wait time. Overall, I would say the photographs were the same as any other place I’ve gone with possibly less attention to detail. I believe a good photographer pays attention to detail… in this case the photographer didn’t have that detail. My child was in a dress and asked to sit cross cross applesauce. The dress was pulled up at an odd angle to accommodate that pose so all of those photographs were eliminated due to the dress being bunched up at a weird angle around her legs. My child had a summer dress on and I asked she be photographed bare feet. She was asked to lie on her belly and bend her knees up, which is a cute pose. I noticed immediately that the bottom of her feet were very dirty which I can only imagine came from walking around the photo set as she had just bathed before we came, and just taken off her shoes. Obviously, I couldn’t pick this picture because when I viewed it, I could see the bottom of her feet were dirty in the picture! Another issue, is my photographs weren’t all centered. In one cute picture, they spelled my child’s name as she laid next to the letters. There was about ½ of an inch of space in front of her head and the beginning of her name but by her feet, and the end of her name, there was only about ¼ of an inch, making the picture off center. If you order prints, they are printed elsewhere and shipped to JCPENNEY’S and you have to go in later to pick them up. You can have them shipped to the house, but that cost more. At Picture People, they have a printer. You receive high quality prints the same day AND if you want a print that’s larger than they normally made(11×16), it’s shipped to your home, price inclusive. The photo shoot really didn’t bring out the personality of my child. It was just the routine, standard poses done with 99% of the people. On another note, my mom felt the last place we went, Picture People, did a better job with the photographs. All in all, for the Groupon price, I’d go back to have my child’s life documented. I wouldn’t want to pay full price. Out of the 15 photographs taken, I really liked 4. I was told since I had a Groupon, anything additional I chose to purchase would be 40% off. In order to get an extra digital image, you have to buy the whole package of photos. For the cost, it just wasn’t worth it to me as I only liked 4 of the photographs.

The staff here is superb. They are helpful and cheery. I don’t particularly like the location, but the staff brighten the place up

This store was super neat and clean at that time I visit. I was looking for a hat and I did not find what I like but I bought only $ 12 for a good flip flop! I was a SATISIFIED customer when I left the store!

Horrid customer service if you can find someone to help. But the good prices are worth going it alone. Also the HVAC always seems to be crazy. You’re either freezing or sweating.

The inside of JC Penny hasn’t changed since their outdoor re-modeling. The walkway and outdoor area is beautiful landscaped now, the draw back is having to walk a distance outside in 100 degree weather from the parking lot to the store.

I must say I had the best experience buying my sons prom shoes. The ladies in this department are wonderful, helpful, and just down right nice. I find that to be very rare in this day. Overall the staff at the checkout counters are very pleasant. Thank you so much.

This poor JCPenney store is a victim of El Con. It’s old, it’s falling apart, it’s not the cleanest(not that any JCP is), and it could do a lot better, even for a JCP, in a better location. They have a decent variety of clothing for all shapes and sizes, young and old, trendy or not. Some departments are lacking for sure, but I can still manage to find something to suit my needs when I shop here. And their prices are good. The sales associates are only ever seen at the registers from what I can tell. So if you need help, go directly towards a «Customer Service» sign. The parking lot near this store is laid out stupidly, and gets full fast because of the movie theater, so you might need to park a little bit out and walk. I do like JCP, and I think their new business model is interesting and good for them, but I wish they’d move to Park Place or somewhere nicer. I’ll still shop here plenty, though.
