Jacquie has coaxed my naturally curly hair, through the awkward stages of growing it out, over the past year. I am so thankful for her! I’ve been seeing her for over 6 years now and hope to never have to change stylists. She has also supported my hair color and highlight whims over the years. Another reviewer was right about one thing — Mamie sure rocks the hair wash/​head massage station!

I set up an appointment here with Jackie because I have naturally curly hair and love supporting small local businesses.
PROS:
— Best hair wash of my life! Thanks to Mamey (unsure on spelling). I felt like I was in heaven.
— Everyone was pretty friendly.
— Paul Mitchell products smell great.
CONS:
— Location: this salon shares a parking lot with a Circle K, which doesn’t speak to being elegant. The building itself does not have curb appeal.
— Cleanliness: Sitting in the chair getting my haircut and the armrests were simultaneously sticky and dusty. The chairs and supply trays were all visibly dirty. While I was getting my hair washed, I noticed the ceiling fan had an ombré look. From not being dusted, ever. I didn’t use the restroom.
— Attention to detail: When I was describing what I wanted in my cut, I took out my phone to show a few pictures. I very clearly described what I liked as I swiped through 6 pictures. I didn’t make it through the photos before the stylists said, «a few inches off, got it.»
— Cut: The cut was the fastest and most haphazard haircut of my life. I have long, thick hair and she didn’t section off to make sure she cut evenly. It was like Edward Scissorhands. She also never checked both sides of my hair to see if it fell evenly. At the time I trusted her process and hoped for the best.
— Aftermath: Unfortunately, my hair is frizzier and less defined than before. I asked for my hair to be shaped so it wouldn’t fall in a triangle shape and now it does. The two sides of my head are also different lengths now. The way my hair was cut actually GAVE me split ends which is a problem I haven’t had before.
Summary:
I spend $ 65 dollars getting my naturally hair cut here, so you don’t have to.

I went in for a cut this weekend with Danielle and absolutely love it. Danielle is super attentive and a perfectionist, exactly what you want in a stylist. She cut my medium length thick, wavy hair into a short angled bob. I’ve had the cut before, so I knew what I was looking for. Danielle asked me how I liked the progress of the cut as she did it. I really appreciated that she was willing to listen to what I said. She’s also very personable and made the cut a very pleasant experience. I definitely plan to go back!

I went to Jackie and had color done. I have had nothing but compliments about my new look.

Went in for my first appointment with Jackie, and I will definitely be back! She totally took care of all my hair needs, and gave me a great cut and color I really wanted. I’m a stylist also, and finding someone who can do my hair and wow me is a difficult task, and Jackie did just that. She’s so greatly knowledgeable, and full of smiles.
I will definitely be back. It’s a cute salon.

I’ve been going to Jackie for over a decade now. Now only does she give me an exceptional hair cut for my naturally curly hair, but she does a beautiful color. More than that her customer service is excellent and all of her staff are friendly and courteous. One of my favorite parts of going to Jackie’s salon is the wash. It’s incredibly relaxing and includes a neck message. I can’t say enough good things about this salon!

I believe I just got the second worse haircut of my life. The worst was at a barber college when I was about 10. My big mistake when I was in a hurry and needed a cut. Now I have to go face Tami at
SHAGGS (she is fabulous) in a couple of weeks to see if she can fix it. I knew within two minutes after this gal started that I was in trouble. Stay away is my recommendation and I would never go back.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Tucson. Jackie is incredibly professional and very talented! Her salon is nicely decorated and always clean. As soon as I entered, I was treated courteously by her. Even for someone with short hair (and yes, balding), she really took her time with me and did an amazing job. She is never pushy with products, but will recommend what you might need. I’m a fan of the Paul Mitchell tea tree oil products.
It cant get any better than this.

I always go to Krystal to get my hair done, though I would completely trust any other stylist here! My favorite thing about Krystal (and the entire salon) is that she has a knowledge of curly hair. As someone who was born with Shirley Temple-​like curls, it’s impossible for me to get a haircut and come out looking human. It’s obvious that these stylists have a great knowledge of how to cut and style curls.
Great salon for anyone, but for my fellow curlys — this place is a MUST!

Jackie and her staff are all amazing! Jackie just remodeled her salon so tastefully; resulting in shear beauty and elegance. She is a Paul Mitchell salon and only uses the most advanced and healthy products for your hair. Jackie is truly talented and creative in what she does. She now offers hair tinsel/​hair flairs/​hair shimmers, as well as hair feathers for the look you want. While moving to Tucson 13 years ago and searching for the best person who knows and understands hair has been most challenging. Luckily and finally I found Jackie 3 years ago. Having high lites has always been challenging for me, since I am a true brunette. To say the least I can be fussy and difficult at times because I have such high expectations for only the best! Jackie is by far the best. Oh, and not to mention for the first time in 50 years I have a new hair style, all because Jackie thought it would do me justice. I allowed her to use her creative mind and she was successful!
