I took in a Silver bar and the man behind the table told me it was not real. He said it was Silver plated! I went to another Gold-​Silver place and they gave me $ 30.00 for the exact same silver piece. I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

My suggestion, if you have stuff to sell, is to definitely shop around but to sell it elsewhere. To be honest I wouldn’t even waste the trip here, because they really try to offer you as little as possible. I understand that is to be expected in a pawn shop but these guys take it to an extreme. I don’t know if they are just cheap or truly don’t know the value of jewelry, but either way you would lose out.
I just sold 5 rings elsewhere that were all gold, most with a diamond in it (ranging from small to over a half carat), & this place tried to give me only $ 150 for all of them. By shopping around I got over another $ 500. I’d hate for others to get ripped off by coming here.

I had no clue they had a location on Broadway too! This place is quite the gem for coin collectors. I have now been collecting for a little over a year and I have to admit that I always learn something new when I walk into good olé tom’s.
This visit also marked the first time I tried to sell anything: a gold bracelet I’ve had for a while now. I sat down with a younger gentleman and he was kind in explaining the tests that he was running on my bracelet to ensure it was real gold. They use a form of measurement called «pennyweight» so naturally, I was a bit confused as to how many grams of gold my bracelet contained. He converted the weight into grams for me and I even pulled up a conversion calculator to double check.
Long story short:
This place is solid and has definitely earned my trust. They are kind and transparent in their bidding. They did not hesitate to explain anything when I did not understand, and I will definitely be back in the future.
