What a joke. Reading good reviews made me almost as sick as the sushi did. Not only are the staff disrespectful, rude, and dumb, they are also incapable of writing down simple orders, let alone an order hat should ask to include or remove some item. Asides from the staff, the food was subpar to ok. The chef is really nice and the only plus in this hole. The music can be loud which is totally fine given this is a sushi and drinking joint on Univ Blvd so obviously it should be lively. But the service needs to be revamped and the wait staff all done away with. Once you find real servers and use FRESH ingredients, you’ll see a significant improvement in the mood of your customers and in their overall health, which you don’t seem to care about today given how long you’ve left that raw fish out for.

Literally everything I got was unimpressive. Miso soup had a odd flavor to it that I couldn’t spot. The crap puffs weren’t cooked all the way through and didn’t have enough cream cheese in them. I asked for avocado my roll and someone took two slivers of avocado and put it next to the roll. Way to much eel sauce. Should be served on the side so it doesn’t saturate the roll for delivery. Lettuce raps were beyond bland. It literally just tasted like some white guy with zero culinary experience put it together. And how do you fuck up crab puffs and miso soup? Non sense. Kozoku sushi is where to go.

Unprofessional, incapable, disrespectful staff. Poor management. I had called by phone to place a second order when my original delivery was completely wrong. However everytime I called they either hung up immediately, or faked as if the connection was bad(which it was not). I called again, but kept getting the same immature response. I even called from a different number, and was greeted but once they realised it was me they hung up. I was nothing but polite and curtious. There was nothing I did to deserve that rude treatment. My vengeance on fuku sushi is in God’s hands now. He will show them the way to proper restaurant management.

Rating– 2.5 I first walked into Fuku my freshman year, and they gave me a menu pamphlet. Now, it’s my senior year, and we finally decided to try the place. We ordered some delivery sushi along with the tofu noodle bowl. As you would expect, the sushi wasn’t exactly cold and refreshing when it got to my front door. But, I’m not sure if that’s reasonable to ask drivers to bring the food in an ice cooler… The sushi menu was diverse, but a little too many«edgy» choices for me. But, I can understand the appeal. It was pretty irritating that there were no plastic bowls, or anything of the sort, for the soy sauce when the food arrived. Only soy sauce packets(more on that later). I mean, if you’re going to deliver sushi, you should put some effort into making it a similar experience as it would’ve been in the restaurant. So, just be prepared to find some tiny bowls in your kitchen cabinet to use for soy sauce dipping. Speaking of the soy sauce… what the hell? Just buy Kikkoman instead of the terrible tasting generic soy sauces you provided. It really took away from the sushi dish for me. Fuku. The tofu noodles were more like«deconstructed noodles with a side of tofu and veggies drowned in ground black pepper». Not very good. In the end, the sushi itself was very good. I applaud the sushi chef. The soy sauce, the non-existent bowls, the noodles, the tofu, and the flavor were all meh and/or bleh.

I’ve been coming here since it opened I’ve had nothing but great experiences always great food and outstanding service! Ali B and Kristina are always attentive knowledgeable and make every time a great time! Every time my girlfriend wants to go somewhere this is her place, check it out! I’ve been in the service industry for 12 years and have nothing but great things to say!

This place is really good! I’ve only eaten here a few times and it was pretty good! During happy hour their beers are cheaper than pretty much anywhere on university. And cheap saki bombs are always a plus! Service at the bar is always pretty quick and the staff has always been nice to me.

Wow this place is probably what the movie waiting was based on! Disgusting on so many levels! Worst service ever, saw the sushi chef pick his nose then touch the sushi roll right after!!! I KIDYOUNOT, STAYAWAY!!! O ya there was a small piece of paper in my miso soup, I literally walked out of this place midway through my meal.

This place is APPALLING!!! If I could give it less than one star I would! They drop food on the floor and then pick it up and serve it anyway, drink out of a soup bowl and then serve it to a customer, touch food without gloves, they know nothing of customer service, and management treat their staff like garbage! I have no clue how they are still in business and hopefully after the health department gets wind of their disgusting practices, they won’t be!!! Don’t recommend this place at ALL! Service and food was horrible and the manager acted like it wasn’t his problem that both were so bad and basically did nothing about it.

I wish I could leave no stars. After being in the service industry for 13 years, this may be the worst service I have ever experienced. Attentiveness was at an all time low, no sense of urgency from ANYONE on the floor. TOTHEOWNERS: You should be absolutely embarrassed by the food/service that you provide. You can taste the frozen quality of everything they serve, it’s ridiculous. I will never ever come back here and will proceed to tell ten more people to do the same. I’m appalled.

This place sucks. *drops the mike* Ugh, I cannot recommend this place at all. When we walked in on a Sunday night, it was more like a club than anything and the Eminem wannabe staff didn’t help. We sat at the sushi bar and Not the real Slim Shady #1 just looked at us and walked away while #2 ended up «helping us». When we asked for anything… soy sauce, napkins, plates… he would just look at us very confused wondering why we were asking for stuff. They are just rude, vapid and really don’t care here. The only reason why I’m not giving them one star is because the sushi was pretty good. The sushi chef who was hustling was the nicest person there who actually greeted us and said thanks for coming in. Walk a little further and go someone else for a sushi experience in Tucson.

Ended up eating here only after all nearby restaurants had long wait times. At first the service was a bit slow but understandable since it was busy and there were some noticeable drunk college students in there. We started with some cucumber salads and edamame. Not disappointed. After a few drinks our group ordered several different sushi rolls. They were all excellent, can’t believe they were made in Tucson. The best was the honor roll. We will definitely be returning.

Food poisoning! I LOVE sushi, and I eat it all the time! I came here with a friend to get dinner. We got tempura and Las Vegas roll. The tempura came out SUPER greasy, and I thought the roll was meh at most. The highlight of my night, of course however, was 2 hours later when I got the worst stomache I’ve ever had, following that, common food poisoning symptoms ensued…

If I could give fuku sushi less than one star I would. Awful service, bad food, and a terrible ambiance. My friend asked our waitress for water three times before it came and our food took close to 30 minutes when we were the only ones there. Not to forget, our napkins were damp upon arrival and we had to get up to get our own silverware because the waitress failed to bring it after we asked twice. Definitely will not be returning and do not recommend.

My boyfriend and I have been here for dinner twice. Its kinda become our place to go when we go see performances at Centennial Hall I guess… We made it in time for happy hour(until 7 M-F). And when you check in on Unilocal, you get a coupon for a free edemame or miso soup… We had the spicy shrimp(which is actually spicy), the California roll(pretty good), the Philly roll(good amount of cream cheese and the salmon was good), and the tempura shrimp roll from the happy hour menu. We got the Edemame with the check-in voucher and it was good. It had a good amount of salt and was cooked well. Happy hour drink menu had a good selection. They had Blue Moon which my boyfriend likes and I tried 2 of their cocktails. I had the raspberry lemon drop and the melon-tini. Neither were very strong, but they tasted good… And were $ 3 each… I picked the melon-tini(something new) and our waitress recommended the raspberry lemon drop. It wasn’t as lemon-y as I would have liked, but it did have a good tartness from the raspberry. Our waitress was really good. She was attentive but not too much so… And she made sure she checked back in with us before happy hour ended which is always a bonus for places that have happy hour! She was friendly too. I showed her the check-in coupon at the beginning of the meal and she remembered when she rang up the check. I am surprised at some of the other reviews I have seen. This isn’t the best sushi in town, but it certainly isn’t bad!

We went here with a groupon tonight, and it was TERRIBLE. The service was fine, but the food was horrible. The California roll was bland — my rice bowl was bland. The iced tea had absolutely no flavor. The chicken tasted frozen and rewarmed. My husband had the burger that was a store bought white bun, and frozen patty. He ate 2 bites of it, and he was hungry! I wouldn’t go back even if the food was free… :(

If you’re from out of town and looking for a place to have a nice family dinner I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not the cleanest and they’re probably breaking a few health codes but you get over it after a Sake Bomb and good music. It’s a sushi restaurant run by frat guys… so don’t take yourself too seriously. For the price, the sushi could be better. I am a fan of the large Sake Bombs for $ 5 and they have the best noodles I have possibly ever eaten. I am obsessed with the Chicken Yakisoba, it’s unhealthy what I would do for some of those noodles right now! They have Happy Hour every day 3pm-6pm and on Sundays all day! It’s a perfect spot to watch sports as they have a few large flat screens. I wouldn’t recommend delivery but instead do pick up, it’s easier, cheaper and probably faster.

I was in town for business and came here on two occasions. Both nights I was greeted by Katelyn(?). She was super awesome and had good energy. As some more regulars came in, I overheard them talking about new ownership that had happened not too long ago. I wouldn’t know the difference cause I had a great time. I checked in both nights after my workout and received my free miso soup.(You can also opt in for edamame instead!) I would definitely pass on the teriyaki beef skewers. Too salty, too saucy and the meat was tough. However, everything else was awesome including the soup, seaweed salad and hand rolls. I felt invited and comfortable. The restaurant isn’t big and I can see how it could get crazy during the school year. If I stay in this part of town again, i would definitely go again. The majority of the restaurant is taken up by the sushi bar. That’s where I would recommend sitting!
