What a great community event for Tucson and fundraiser for KXCI. With Calexico as the annual headliner and a slew of talented local bands you are sure to have a super fun day. The event closes down the streets in the Art Museum Historic Block and you can wander from the main stage to the side stage stopping in between for a nice cold beer and a yummy sonoran dog or Korean Taco. I absolutely love this day and look forward to it every year. My one suggestion for future events is to always keep it on a Saturday. This year, it was hosted on a Sunday and it loses a little luster when you know you have to be at work the next morning.

This was my third year going to this festival and it was great! We mostly go to listen to Sergio Mendoza Y La Orkesta and the rest is a bonus. This year O’Dell served the beer but before they’ve had a variety of local brews which was nice. Since we came over after having walked around the street fair we didn’t eat anything here but it looked like there were plenty of tasty options. I love that you can walk around to the stages outdoors and enjoy the great weather, food, drinks and music!
