Famous Sam’s Restaurant & Bar

I think we in the S/​W side of Tucson get all of the «B rated restaurant chains, this is by far the worst Sam’s I have been in.

Service was ok but the food was terrible… Don’t eat the breaded mushrooms.
Also the music was bipolar

The food was below average. Wait for a server, food, refills and check took forever, and it was not that busy. There were multiple servers and most of the time they were smoking outside or talk with each other. I will not be going any time soon.

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since i was a kid and it has never changed. Patrami still excellent and the service is still on point. Great for football on sundays and its pretty easy to become a regular with the waitresses.

Had great service around 8pm, food came quickly, and I never needed to ask for a refill. The food isn’t bad, pastrami sandwich is great!

Over the years, this sports bar has withered to a shadow of its former self. What was once a great place to have a drink, watch a game, or listen to people sing some karaōke has become a hub for poor service and gang violence.
There was once a lively crew of staff and customers. Now, the staff completely ignore their customers while they talk and text on their cell phones. One server took 20 minutes to get a round of beers for my table because she «was slammed». There were three tables of customers, and only 3 – 4 people at the bar. She just sat down and texted after I made my order, and she obviously forgot I made any request at all.
The food has never been spectacular, but it is now almost inedible. Every time I visit Famous Sam’s, there is a new crew in the kitchen, which speaks volumes about what the employees think of the establishment.
Perhaps Famous Sam’s has fallen victim to its poor locale and shady clientele, and it is a shame. On such a bad side of town, it’s amazing there are so few bullet holes in the building.
