Didn’t get what we wanted!!! Out of four people’s order none where right. Manager came over didn’t fix a thing and didn’t credit the bill any!

I went there yesterday with my sister for dinner for the first time. I heard a lot of great things about the food from friends so I decided to go!
PROS
* We were seated immediately and served chips and fresh hand-​crafted salsa while we waited for our order
* they had Mac n’ cheese on their menu! (looove mac n cheese)
* prices were decent
CONS
* Staff is unaware if their menu. I asked the waitress what was in the steak rancheros and she fabricated a bkanket statement that made no sense
*I finished my drink in 10 min and waitress didn’t come back to check on us for refills. I had to flag another waitress down to get me more water. She came back with a different glass of water.
* I ordered steak rancheros and mac n cheese. When I git my meal the mac n cheese resembled a generic Kraft boxed man n cheese. No, worse. Like the microwaved version of the off-​brand kraft. Literally tasteless.
*The steak ransheros is too salty. Its got flavor but I couldn’t get past the saltiness of it. I literally took a few bites and couldn’t finish any more
* After we finished our meal, no one came to check on us to check out. We were unfamiliar with the check out process. After waiting for an available waitress we interrupted two hostesses at the front for our bill. They told us to check out in the back of the restaurant. That makes no sense for a sit down restaurant because anyone could have walked out at any point without paying for their meal! (with the unattentive staff, poor service, and poor quality dining experience.)
Nonetheless, I’m not coming back.

When you give something 3-​stars, Unilocal suggests that it’s «A-​OK,» and that is exactly how I feel about this place. Went after a friend’s symphony concert just down the block — my guy & I were STARVING so we were happy to come upon this place. The food was decently priced (verging on cheap for Tucson Mexican) and it was very predictable. Predictable is good when you’re hungry.
I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it, but we enjoyed what we had — cheese enchiladas and a cheese crisp with green chile

We went here on a Sunday night and had the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, and it’s not the first time they have given us deplorable service.
We were seated immediately, and we knew what we were going to order within two minutes. After five minutes, the waiter came to our table, slammed down a bowl of chips and salsa and walked away without saying a word. Another five minutes passed and our drink orders were taken, our drinks were brought and we waited another five minutes to get our food orders taken. Mind you, this occurred while we were the only group in the entire restaurant.
Our food came quite rapidly, and that was the last time we saw him before we went to pay. When we went to pay, there were four people in the back, all of whom were bullshitting in Spanish. Our waiter, who was among them, was taking acetametaphine. We left a 10% tip, and they were lucky to have received that.
In short, if you’re in the area and have a craving for Mexican food, go about a mile down Ina to La Parilla Suiza; the ambiance is better, the waiters are nicer, and while the food is more expensive, it’s also much better quality.

Our group of 10 came here for lunch on a Sunday around 12pm. They said there would be wait but could sit us at 2 tables next to each other. I went to look at where they were going to sit us and a large pillar was between the tables so that wouldn’t work. We waited a while longer and then was set down. We were only served water and after sitting there for a while we had to get someone to take our drink order. We had to ask for chip & salsa refills and some of us did not get drink refills. The service was terrible the food was not that good. I had a chicken chimi, which came with beans & rice. We have ate here several times prior to this and it just keeps getting worse. This will be the last time I suggest to eat here.

The service has consistently gotten worse throughout the years. It has never been my favorite and our last experience has pushed me away for good. We waited to be seated together as a large group and that upset the hostess. We were finally seated and our drink order was never taken and only served water. We had to ask for chips and salsa. We spoke with the manager about the service and nothing improved! The portions have gotten smaller and just not that good!

I’m from Tucson and when I come back I ALWAYS make time to eat here — usually more than once! The red chile and green chile are both great! I get a red chile burro enchilada style — though they also have a chicken red chile dish that is amazing! In short, the margaritas and food are great!
Not sure who this crazy below is! i don’t think we ate in the same place!
