Really??? You are a sporting goods store and have no one in the store that knows anything about your sports watches? Your answer should never be read the back of the box and figure it out!

I usually don’t go to Dicks because I feel they are super expensive. However, I went to this location for some soccer cleats. The first time I went I couldn’t find anyone to help me. When someone in the store came to help me I asked them to find a certain cleat in a certain size. After 10 minutes in the back room he came back and said he couldn’t find them. He didn’t ask if I wanted any other cleats he just said sorry and walked away. I then went over to the golf section because I wanted to look at some clubs. I asked the guy if I could use the simulation machine to be fitted for clubs and he said no and to come back when the golf pro was there. Which is impossible because I work 9 to 5, and that’s when he’s there. The reason I am giving Dicks three stars is because we came back another time to get cleats and there was a very helpful employee. We also had a coupon form buy a $ 100 get $ 20 off, so that helps too haha my main suggestion would be to go before 7 o’clock if you actually want help with anything in the store.

If you work customer service and do not know your product, you should not work customer service

This place is huge, they have all kind of goods if you want to practice any sport. Sadly, they do not have team shirts and goods, which is a bit deceptive because in the webpage the do. I guess I might have called before but then again, they could make it clear in the wp

Yet to carry anything I’ve needed. The one time they actually did carry the item desired, I drove to their store only to be told they were out of stock and had no clue when they’d be getting more. The young man assured me they get a truck every morning, just that corporate no longer allows them to know what is «on the truck.» He went on to say how terribly inconsistent their stocking practices are and shared his frustration. Pretty certain I’ll be scratching Dick’s off of my list of go to places. Pretty bad when you can’t even keep your stores up to date & your employees are even frustrated by it! Waste of time and gasoline.

Dick’s as a chain, is just okay. I’d much prefer an REI or Summit Hut any day. But this Dick’s Sporting Goods location is the absolute WORST! On my first visit I tried to find sandals, I stood in the middle of the aisle in the shoe department for 15 minutes before I finally saw an employee. I asked them for assistance getting a shoe and he just looked at me and said I’ll call it in, then promptly spoke into his walkie talkie and left. 15 minutes later I was still waiting, as were 5 other people waiting to be helped in the shoe department. After 30 minutes of waiting I left. The second time I came in it was looking for a jacket, grabbed my size, purchased it and left. I also thanked my lucky stars that I needed no assistance because there was no one on the floor. If you need any type of customer service, please go elsewhere.

I went all the way out into Oro Valley for this Dick’s store when I found out we had one in the area. Previously I’ve heard of these in the Phoenix-metro so I was excited to find out they existed close by. It’s not a fantastic store by any means when you consider the quantity and supply and price of other places in Tucson. With REI and Summit Hut around, better deals can be found. Heck, the camping and sporting goods section at a Wal-Mart is as good or better for the most part. Which isn’t to say that browsing at Dick’s isn’t unpleasant, and there is plenty of staff around who seem helpful and nice. Maybe I’m too serious of a hiker and camper to be interested in this place, because Dick’s seems set up for the casual and new outdoors person. If you like«car camping» there is a lot of stuff here. Sporting goods, clothes, the usual. It’s a nice clean and friendly place but nothing I would drive out to Oro Valley for considering I live in west Tucson. I can find everything I need elsewhere and probably at better deals.

I’ve been to Dick’s in other places before, and had great experiences, so when choosing before Dick’s, REI, and Summit Hut, I decided to go to Dick’s. Bad choice! I walked around the footwear section three times and couldn’t find anyone to help me. I saw people working there, but they were just walking around doing nothing. I finally had to go up to a girl and asked for help. She basically just brought out the shoes I wanted to try and left. Never did she come back to check and see if I was ok, or needed different size, or which one of the two pairs I was going to get. Nothing. Then I needed to pick out some backpacks. Again, no one was around to help me. So I walked around the store and finally saw someone organizing a rack of clothes. I asked her for help. She pointed to the other end of the store and told me to go find it myself. I was really annoyed with the bad service, but I needed the bag, so I went over to the direction she pointed. Well, after standing in front of a wall of backpacks, I couldn’t decide what to get. So I thought to myself, they don’t really care if you are here or not, they don’t really care if you buy anything or not, so why wasting time standing here and wonder when you can go elsewhere and get the help you need? So I walked out of the store. I went to REI. The person at REI was really helpful and patient and got me what I wanted. I even joined their REI club, because I know I will go back to REI again for whatever else I need.

Don’t let the outside looks of this store deceive you! The inside of this store is HUGE! They have all sports covered well including a fitness section.

Best service ever! I have a son that swims an plays youth football. We go out of our way to go to Dick’s for all our needs. Sports Authority is closer but the service at Dick’s is 100 times better!
