Dad Pfeenrbr’s Old Tme Phtgrphs & Mvng Pctre Cmpny

I am a Tucson native with a whole lot of pro photographers in my life, so Id never felt the call to go to a photo studio for any pictures. That said, I have always LOVED the photos Ive seen from Dad Pfeenerbars Old Time Photo Studio, and always wanted to find a call to go and get decked out as a saloon girl, or Annie Oakley and have some fun taking some pics with someone I love. I finally got my chance, and Im so glad! I am dating a super wonderful man, who has been in the military. He will be retiring soon and ended up loving Tucson, so hes planning on making this his home. I mentioned that I had always wanted to do the Old Time western photo thing. PERFECT! He set it up and we showed up for our photos last night. They said that the had a big party booked at 7, so to show up either before that or before 9. we were there just before 9 and fully decked out as a real authentic and HOT cowboy and a slightly weary and worn lady of the night pretty quickly. This sweet couple knows what they are doing, and have the ensembles down to a science. they have everything you might want. looks include, cowboy, cowgirl, prairie, indian, vaquero, outlaw, sheriff, well to do ladies and gents,. and plenty of good stuff for the lil ones too. they seem to have a pretty ample supply of authentic stylings, down to the smallest details, and they are really lovely folks to deal with,
The pictures were not as great as I wanted, but only because I was tired and not feeling super saucy, no fault of Dads. More because it was after a very long day and even though i was so glad to be there, i couldnt hide the tired… Maybe more authentic. ha.
The funny thing is, now that Ive done this once, I kind of cant wait to go back and do it again. My man and I agreed that we wanted to to revisit the studio for a different look. me the sheriff and he the prisoner? I also want to go with my daughter. a couple a gun slinging bad girls. yeah. its addictive, and they make it easy to feel right at home.
so do yourself a favor and if you need an excuse, take your out of town auntie or cousin for something totally different, have a drink at Dakota Café before hand to loosen up a little. but get in line, because Ill be there trying out every look available.
