Awful experience. First of all, the moment i walked in, I met the front desk girl who seemed like she had the hardest time opening her mouth to speak, let alone greet with a friendly face, I’m already feeling like death, your face shouldn’t make me feel like I’m inconveniencing you! She asked why I was there and as I’m telling her that I had a 103 degree fever and feel light headed, she started prepping paperwork for me to fill out and told me it would be a 2 hour wait. I was so surprised that I didn’t ask any more questions I just sat down hoping I wouldn’t pass out. I waited the 2 hours, no idea how, cause the whole room was spinning at that point. However i did notice something weird, the front desk girl was all smiles with the males sent there by their employers oh and her friends. Anyway, I managed to get up and get some water and thats when I got called up. They took my pressure and it was high, I told the nurse I had just taken a drink of COLD water so I didn’t know how accurate my temp would be. She took it anyway and it was 98. She told me the doctor wasn’t in for another 30 mins. So again I waited hoping to pass out, as it would be better than how I was feeling. The doctor finally comes in, I tell her I had a high fever at home, my throat hurt, my ears were hurting and ringing, and both sides of my neck were hurting, immediately she diagnosed me with strep, looked at my throat and said it was raw. She said they would have to swab and left. Waited again for 10 minutes a nurse came in and swabbed, then left. Doc came back asked if they had given me my tylenol, and game me a prescription, I said no and she left again. Nurse comes back 10 mins later I get tylenol and am told that my doctors note for work would be waiting for me at the front desk. I managed to make it to the front desk and nothing. I check 10 mins later, and still nothing. Then I’m told that the doc is with a patient and they just need her to sign, it was waiting for her at her desk. I sit back down cause now I’ve been there for almost 3 hours, no food and tylenol in my system, so I was ready to puke. I get back up 20 mins later and I’m told they are still waiting for the doc to sign, I said are you serious? She spent a total of 2 mins total with me and she’s been in there with a patient for 20 mins? She said yes. But I think she just forgot. So then I didn’t move from the counter, another lady comes up with a huge smile on her face, tells me she’s sorry(her acting needed some work) and hands me the note. Almost 4 hours later I left. 4 days later, I still feel like crap still have a 103 fever, a sore throat, ears feel like they are plugged, and very weak, and the note that I was given says I should be back to work tomorrow morning. Fml, first time there and never again Concentra. I only went cause the clinic on base was closed that day. I gave one star cause there were no negative stars to choose.

Worst experience ever! I went in for occupational tests. Wait was over an hour and a half. The nurse didn’t want to listen to me when I said I was a hard stick. Then he had trouble getting a blood samples. Next thing, the billing was a disaster. They wouldn’t take payment from me, but wanted to bill the company. So here I am waiting again for them to figure it out.

Being«medically interesting,» I’m no stranger to urgent care. While I usually go to another clinic in town for bronchitis, stitches, etc., I’ve recently had some episodes of SCARILY high blood pressure and needed to see someone ASAP to make sure I didn’t have a stroke before my cardiology appointment. Concentra’s website says they handle more serious stuff than the other clinic, and that’s definitely true. When I told them I was dizzy and shared my BP reading, I was whisked to the back even before I could make my copay! While the receptionist gave me an estimate of 2 hours between checking in and walking out the door, with BP problems I was in and out in under an hour. The medical assistant was super friendly and helpful, and I got to speak to a doctor(not a NP!) very shortly. Dr. Couch knew his stuff, took the time to understand my situation, and was honest about my options. In addition to the great care, the facilities are very slick and stylish. The design reminds me a lot of Target, actually, with bold(but not overdone) colors and design. Sure, a snazzy exam room doesn’t really affect your care, but it’s nice to see. Since Concentra has the same co-pay as other clinics in Tucson, plus it was no less busy than anywhere else I’ve gone, I will definitely be using this as my main urgent-care center from now on.

I used this facility the other day in need of some relief from sinus pressure… I had never used an «urgent care» type place before and was quite nervous it would take too long and that I wouldn’t get any real answers. To my surprise, I was in an out and on my way back to work in less than a hour. Now keep in mind, the helpful woman behind the scenes said typically it takes about 45 – 120 mins depending on the doctor, your condition, and insurance documentation… Thank you for the fast service and great care!
