This place really just baffled me. I have roulette figured out and have never lost but I went there and didn’t win a single damn swing. That being said I am almost positive that this casino is rigged and will take your money without thinking twice. Anyways the food is probably pretty good.

I love this casino! The slot machines pay! I won a total of $ 1,150 in two days. It is a lot of fun, clean and pretty. The dinning area has a sky effect on the ceiling.

If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend getaway then this isn’t too bad… Mine and my husbands first vacation away from the kids(in 2 years): –When we first arrived at the hotel check-in counter(around 2:30PM) there was only one clerk but we were welcomed warmly and she tagged our bags, the clerk said they would call us when our room was ready at check-in time(4PM) or sooner if it was ready before then… **no problems with our first front desk encounter** –We went to eat at Ume which offered some very delicious food elegant atmosphere and wonderful wait staff. However our server was not aware that the restaurant was out of two of the sushi items we had ordered… **I feel the wait staff should be aware of those types of things** –When we had finished at Ume it was 4PM but we had not received a call about our room yet so we made our way back to the hotel front desk. Upon arriving at the front desk there were two clerks(neither were the same young woman as before) so we inquired about our room and was informed we would have to wait longer. We were told we could wait in the main lobby area and they would retrieve us when our room was available and since we were informed it would only be five to ten minutes we enjoyed complimentary fruit fusion water while we sat and waited. About fifteen minutes later my husband went to check with the clerk again who said it would be a few minutes longer! After five more minutes(20 total) the female clerk(followed by the bell hop) came over and gave us our room keys then informed us that she was not aware that we were VIP guests when she had spoke with us earlier and we would be receiving a turn down service at 8PM unless we informed her right then that we didn’t want it! We told her turn down service would be fine. Then the bell hop handed us our bag and walked away! My husband and I were a bit confused because the clerk said we were VIP guests but the bell hop didn’t offer to take our bags up to the room?! He literally carried our bag from the storage area next to the front desk over to where we were sitting(about 20ft)… **Most places offer to take your bags up to your room if you’re VIP guests** –When we got to our room(a king suite) it was set up very nicely and it was very clean! A few of the pillow cases had small holes in them but the room was nice. The TV in the lounge area and bedroom both worked but the small TV in the bedroom’s bathroom did not… **Maybe the wash put holes in the cases but we weren’t sure why the bathroom TV wouldn’t work** –Over all we were happy with our stay but we were a bit shocked and surprised by the few things that we felt could have been better… and the last thing we were a bit confused by was the Casino didn’t offer more free beverages(only soda and water) if you were gambling… most casinos give ALL beverages free!

Great resort all around. We came for the Tucson mariachi conference and just to hang out. Everyone was so friendly and nice when we came in. Check in was super fast, and our room was a regular king and it was spacious for a regular room, it was very nice and contemporatry. Their amphitheater is gorgeous and intimate. Next day I got a workout in their gym, it’s nothing special but if you know what your doing you can make it work. We spent all day out by the pool the next day. It was crowded because of the festival. The waitresses got us drinks and we never saw them again. The bars are friendly but seem to be consitantly slow with drinks… The neighbors had a party and we ended up complaining around 230 am. Security came up But they carried on with their party till 330. Front desk told us we should have continued complaining. I guess rowdy loud guests get 5 warning(modern america)… We check out today but they will hold your bags of you want to enjoy the pool before you leave which is nice. We are already making plans to return next year.

3 Stars. Uhmm. Well not sure where to begin. One of filthiest public bathrooms I have ever seen. I have traveled across this country(from NY to AZ) and have seen public bathrooms at Truck stops cleaner than this one. As far as Casinos go it does have a nice atmosphere, but if you plan on throwing a little $$ away on the slot machines, I have to say you would probably get more enjoyment setting your $$ on fire and watching it burn. The payouts are so few and far between. Being from NY and truly enjoying a visit to a local casino, where the bathrooms all have good attendants who really clean the bathroom. And the slot machines are always busy. Why? Because they actually payout pretty regularly. That particular Casino has grown so much over the past 20+ years. They must be doing something right. Casino del sol should do a little research and check a few of those very busy ever expanding Casinos. For a while Casino del sol gave me a whole $ 5.00 free play. Now for the past few months I get nothing. In NY I received $ 30.00 a week in free play plus amazing comps. If I hadn’t visited for a while The would shower me with comps and $ 50.-$ 100 in free plays. Casino Del Sol has only comp me ½ off the boring buffet. So all in all if it is a choice between Casino del Sol or that other one down the road, I think I will just stay home and drink.

The hotel and accommodation itself was not bad, however not worthy of a 4 star rating!” Customer service in the hoetl is lacking. First night we stayed on a Tuesday and although the accommodations were nice, they failed to provide us a wake call the next morning and we overslept causing us to be late for a meeting. When inquiring with the front desk the next morning, i was told they had no record that a call was requested. I proceeded to ask for a manager and told there was not one avail. I was given a number to call and leave a message for’Ricardo’. I left a very detailed message, yet my call was never returned. This last Wednesday, we again stayed at the facility and again requested a wake up call at the front desk and watched the clerk at the front desk take down my request and even assured me of a follow up call at within 15 min. Aprehensive, I set my own alarm at 0545. Well, sure enough no call at 6 a.m. Though at 6:15 at least the follow up call came in. When i asked why they didn’t call at 6 as assure, the clerk proceeded to say he «did call and noone answered«. Clearly this was not the case. Ironically we got another promotion in the mail inviting us to stay again in April for two nights free, yet when we went to call, were told it was a misprint and they only had discounted rates. Again the facility is not bad, yet the staff were clearly apathetic when it comes to customer service and they really should look into ethical advertising practice. Instead of 4 star rating, these should be downgraded to a 2! Room Tip: set your own alarm clock!!!

Rooms were clean. Casino reeks of cigarettes and the food at Ume and Moby’s so-so. Quite disappointed that the pool side bar was never open and there was only one little bar near the pool that seemed to be out of many of the bar liquors/flavorings. The staff seem like they find requests a bother. We were not given any towels and they seemed irritated that we wanted three sets(there were three of us). Toilet paper grudgingly doled out. Biggest issue? The television did not work. It kept turning itself on and off and changing channels. We called three separate occasions, but it was never fixed– so for two days, no TV. I’m not into the gambling scene– maybe it’s good for that, but I did not enjoy my stay.

Just arrived home from spending a Saturday night here with another couple, friends of ours. Pros: very nice rooms, and the pool is nice. Cons: the drinks blow! They have this rule of measuring every single drop of alcohol that goes into your drink. It’s totally ridiculous. We felt totally taken advantage of. The buffet is a trash dumpster that rotates every year with new food. Dried up everything. The $ 2 drinks have no alcohol in them to get even a fly a good buzz. Casino has no energy or excitement at all Lots of Tucson finest frequent this place, so be prepared to stand out if you’re from out of town. A band was playing at one bar so we walked over to take a listen to them. Omg what a freak show this was. We felt totally out of place. We’ll stick to the casinos around the Phoenix area. I’m never going to Tucson! Don’t even take my ashes there after I pass.

Love this resort!!! My wife’s family lives in Tucson and just around the corner from this resort. So every time we have a chance we stay there. Rooms are clean, roomy and with modern bathrooms. Resort has awesome customer service. Pool has a pretty and relaxing layout. Casino is always fun and has many restaurants to choose from in case you get hungry. I definitely recommend this resort to anyone who enjoys casinos.

DONTPLAYBINGO! They will charge you for games that you were not even in the building for. The attendants try to fix the problem and interrupt you during your bingo games so you don’t know if you could have won those games. they get the manager and then manager is rude and interrupts another bingo game in process to disrupt the entire table! Felicia didnt try to do anything to appease the mistake made by the cashier. When you ask for her manager because they stole from you and charged you for the wrong games her manager is conveniently out of town so now the entire second half of the evening all of the games played were wasted because of the interruptions from the manager and attendants. the lady calling the numbers goes way too fast. They just needed to admit the mistake and own up to it! apparently even if your receipt says that it was sold after the early bird was done and you were on the second game of the main event, you can’t assume the cashier did their job correctly. don’t look for the«manager», Felisha because she will just interrupt you and then hide in the office when you try to resolve the issue after the game was played. I am disappointed that such a regulated area of gambling would steal from a simple bingo game. yes you go to gamble, but you should not be charged for something you have ZERO odds of winning because you were not even present! I WILLNOTBEBACK! HORRIFIC Service!

The moment I walked in with a friend, the guard checked my ID, you know doing her job. However, I thought it was super rude and unnecessary for her to comment on our appearance. She stopped us and told us that we look like babies and we don’t look old enough to gamble. Just check our ID’s and do your job instead of making unnecessary comments. Definitely made us feel welcomed… Not.

This resort is simply beautiful. Booked our trip on Booking.Com and felt like the commercial when we checked in!!! BOOKING. YEAH!!! The staff was super friendly, Rachel at check-in did a great job, got us a room 3 hours early! Room was nice, 8th floor, name on TV when you enter room to welcome you as well as a plate of chocolates. Made a little money at the tables, danced with my lady and got back to our room with a great buzz! Will be back!!!

I’d stay, eat and maybe gamble here again. I can’t put my finger on it though. It’s like the architect went to Las Vegas and fell in love with the Paris hotel and the Caesars Palace’s mall. The rooms are only four years old and are fairly large compared to most standard hotel rooms. Plus they had a safe and small refrigerator which is usually only reserved for more upscale rooms. Ume, the asian restaurant on the first floor was very good(see my review): And their slots paid fairly well if you could find the«hot» ones. I won $ 35 one evening(having inserted $ 5) and won $ 150 the following morning having played $ 10. Woohoo!

I have not been out here is almost 19 years to actually eat dinner and gamble and honestly I wasn’t all that motivated to go because non Vegas gambling is usually very disappointing. Last night we went there to kill some time while waiting for our son at Nightfall. We had dinner in the Tequila bar and sat at the bar so we could watch the football games. Our server was courteous and attentive. My wife ordered the shrimp rellenos and they were plated with nice presentation and were ample in portions. This bar was a very nice experience for us, after dinner and a few drinks we moved on to the casino floor to play. The play area is very clean and well lit with many options for slots. The card tables had a rather high limit on them for the night but I am sure that is because of the concert that was going on so that is understandable. We found the craps table«automated craps» and played awhile and had quite bit of fun. We played various games and had an all around good time which was a pleasant surprise. The convenience store was not too bad as far as their prices which I appreciate. If you are looking for a nice place to have dinner drinks and a little action this is a great venue for it. Just remember its not Caesars Palace and don’t come with that level of expectation and you will have a great time.

Smokey and poorly run establishment. If you’re looking for a Vegas experience then grab a flight, this place doesn’t cut it. Had to wait over and hour to get on a poker table when there were 12 people on the waiting list and only 3 tables in session. Could have opened a 4th table?!? Most interesting part of the evening was watching some dumb ass leaving in handcuffs with the local police.

I have stayed here once, and enjoyed several shows and nights out here. This is a nice place. One of the things I love is they are ALWAYS improving their resort. That’s nice. Gives locals a reason to go back. Well done Casino Del Sol Resort. Great drinks, great food, and the pool is freaking amazing. They have a lot of wonderful musical groups there, so go to FB and like them, and you will get updates on who is coming to town when. My BD is July 4th, and I have been there several times for their AMAZING July 3rd Fireworks display. AMAZING … Its nice for a night out(date night)…local, but still feel pampered. I like!

Hotel is retarded with a huge security flaw. If you enter through the casino side of the entrance, they ask to check your bag. They profile everyone as a criminal and think you will bring a weapon or something dangerous. I brought a backpack and a bag of leftover food. The security wanted to check, so I asked if he wanted my leftovers. Now if you have a bag and enter through the hotel side, there is no security guard. No one checks anything if you enter from the hotel or the back door. So what’s the point of security in the front entrance? Wifi access doesn’t work and connection sucks. The maids don’t change bedsheets even if you put the request card on the bed. If you throw a dollar with the request card, they will change the sheets. They are also very inconsistent with what they give you. One day they will refill the keurig coffee. One day they will forget. Then they might forget to give you soap, shampoo, and etc. If you call for it, they never come. Oh and check out my review for Festa buffet on false advertising. I won’t even bother to mention the old ugly dealers + servers on the players table. Not sure how they got 4 star from Forbes.

It’s like dropping a mid-level Atlantic City casino in the desert. Same caliber of clientele, just with a Southwest flair. Specifically, replace New York douchebags, guidos and chain-smoking, post-menopausal New Jersey housewives with Arizona douchebags, trailer park hee-haws and chain smoking retirees. The machines and tables are ample for a smaller resort. Rooms are large, clean and the view of the surrounding desert is incredible from the upper floors. Amazing pool. The food was actually pretty good too– we opted for the sushi restaurant as the buffet area looked like the cafeteria at a rest home. Lots of down-on-their-luck old folks bent over plates of soft foods silently masticating, waiting for grim death. The pall of cheap cigarette smoke is thick and all-pervasive, so plan on smelling like a strip club after losing your shirt. So I had some good sushi and left broke and reeking of Pall Malls. Not the worst night of my life. Walked by one of the«Tribe’s» Bentleys parked out front after checkout– so at least my loss is someone’s gain.

We stayed here when my nephew graduated from U of A. I figured that since it was a casino, we’d have something to do and a place to stay cool in our down time. The rooms are clean and spacious. I attribute this to the newness of the place. The casino was loud and filled with drunks who just graduated from college — go figure. There was a band playing in one section that was decent, but my aged ears were bleeding from the decibel level. We joined their player’s club and were both given a free food voucher. We had breakfast at the buffet, and I can honestly say it was the WORSTBUFFETFOOD I’ve ever had at any time in my life. Everything tasted and looked like it had been sitting there for hours. I doubt that I’ll ever have a need to return to Tucson or stay at Casino Del Sol. Their website makes it look like a resort from the Las Vegas strip, but it’s not what you get.

This is a review for the resort/pool only: I stayed here a few nights over the 4th of July weekend– the rooms are nice and clean, very spacious… the bathrooms are really pretty, but we had the tiniest towel rack for 3 people which was odd… there was no shower door which is totally trendy and such, but water sprayed out onto the floor with each shower. The lighting in the bathroom was awful– no way to do my makeup properly. There are mirrors above the desk, but it’s mounted so high that you have to stand to use it. Another larger mirror is in the hall– but the lighting is so poor that you cannot do hair or makeup there either… just little things that are annoying when three people have to share a bathroom… and one person is REALLY into their makeup routine. The beds were comfy… everything else in the room was nice as well. The room was comped for us for the three days… so can’t complain really. The view was very pretty and we were quite high up, so lots to see. The elevators were taking ages the entire weekend due to the high volume of guests which made it a little annoying to get back to the room. Room service is friendly and puts up with people who may or may not have been drinking quite a lot and are making strange demands. The pool is very nice, but s it was 4th of July it was filled with kids. Like billions of them. I had one with me too so I guess I added to the shenanigans. I had a bad experience with one pool server– I ordered a $ 30 pitcher of raspberry vodka lemonade with fresh raspberries in it. When it arrived, there was no fruit in it. I asked where it was, and he told me there weren’t supposed to be any raspberries in the drink. I then had to show him the menu to prove what I was saying. I asked if he could do anything about it and he came back from the bar saying they could put maraschino cherries in it. Yeah, great, put those in my $ 30 drink. The same server was really awkward the entire time– messed up food orders, was strange when he brought items to us as well. The rest of the pool staff-namely the security– were awesome– they made sure everyone as safe and stopped to chat with guests from time to time. Really nice guys.
