So this place is SUPER hit or miss… By that I mean that they close whenever they feel like it. Even when they have special hours posted like today where the sign on the door says«open Easter Sunday 9:00am to 10:00pm» we go in at 9:25 and the girl insists they’ve already closed, and when we asked why the door says 10pm she became super rude. This is the 3rd time we’ve tried to stop here during posted business hours and they’ve been closed. I wonder how they plan to make money when they’re not open when they say they are?

My family and I went on a sunday, we like Carl’s Jr and are normally very pleased with the food and service. There was nobody in line and just a couple of people already eating. The young girl at the counter looked like we were bothering her and that she didn’t want to be there. I ordered curly fries for my daughter and at the same time looked up and noticed they were no longer on the menu. I asked if they had curly fries and the very unfriendly young girl mumbled«we have criss cross fries» never once looking at us. I ordered 2 burgers and 2 fries then asked if she could make them combos? She rolled her eyes at me, I guess I made it a little to hard for her??? I complained to the manager but I was so angry I never really told her anything other than the girl was rude and she didn’t really need to be working with the public. We left without eating and unfortunately will not be back as long as that worker is there…

7:45 at night. No customers in store. No cars ahead of me in drive-thru. Greeted with«just a minute» on speaker. I thought it was just a filler phrase but actually got out timer and was almost 2 minutes before she came back. I asked for a single burger, nothing on it– just meat and bun. $ 4.33 later and an additional 3 minute wait and I had my food. Sitting at pick up window, the angle into the service area allowed me to see the dirty ceiling and rusty vents. Encouraging. I’ve been to other Carl’s Jr and they’re fine for fast food. In Oro Valley there is a Burger King, McDonalds and In-and-Out within a mile. This restaurant has been bad for years, do yourself a favor and avoid it.

Went through the drive-thru of the Oro Valley Carl’s about 10PM and picked up an ‘All-Natural’ burger. The outside speaker wasn’t working very well, but the guy who took my order was extremely courteous and reminded me of the senior discount when I got to the window. The burger was the best fast-food burger I’ve ever had. WOW! Just outstanding.

Horrible service, dirty, and food was bad. Outside of that, no problems at all! 1. Order took 25 minutes to fill with 4 people on duty. 2. The fat guy cooking didn’t wear gloves(yes, I have pics). 3. The meat was dry. Apparently cooked much earlier.

The management here was super nice and gave us really great service. We got a complimentary french fry and my kids got one of each type of toy in their kids meals. My kids love the star shaped chicken nuggets. The food was typical Carl’s jr: fast food, not the worst, not the best — but tasty just like I expected when I went there.

I eaten here many times and have not had any issues. I prefer this location to the Ina & Thornydale one because it is newer and seems cleaner or better maintained. My food has always been what I expect Carls to be and I love how they do a LOT of limited time speciality sandwiches. I do wish they had kept the Memphis Pulled Pork hamburger though; that thing was the bomb!

Terrible food and more often than not, terrible service. Need to improve management. Slowest drive thru that I’ve experienced at a Carl’s Jr. Would not recommend this location.

DONOTGOHEREUNLESSYOUHAVE30MINUTESTOWAIT — DRIVETHRUORDININGROOM. This review is not so much about the food; it is a chain and anyone who has eaten at this chain knows the food. That said, this particular location has more problems than any other Carl’s Jr. I have ever patronized. I have gone here 3x in the past 6 mos, basically out of necessity(it is very close to work/sometimes I have to just get ‘something’). The only issue with food I can say is that one occasion the food was so greasy the paper wrapping was literally dripping. It was disgusting and I threw it away. However, more importantly, this location has the absolute slowest service I have ever experienced — almost anywhere. It is not a one time thing; it is ALL the time. The staff are pretty clueless, not attentive, do not pay attention, and do not help each other unless asked. They do not take initiative or seem to ‘know’ what needs to be done or when. It’s like they walk through the door and end up in a ‘duh’ bubble. It is all of them, and it is all the time. Really strange. I have never seen a manager on the floor. They are never visible. It takes too long to be acknowledged at the counter; often staff is not even facing that way. You have to tap, or clear your throat or say ‘Excuse me’. They are friendly — I will give them that — just really slow and lethargic. I am lucky to have a one hour lunch. However, to have to wait 30 minutes for a basic combo meal at a ‘fast food’ restaurant I think is ridiculous. Forget trying to cancel your order … the staff do not know how to do anything with the registers. Anything ‘out of the norm’, they panic, and getting a manager takes about just as long. Please don’t give them any additional money after they’ve entered into the register what you’ve tendered. They cannot do math so that will delay you even more. Plus, it will be wrong, and you will have to get a manager then to approve the correct amount you should have gotten back(because you gave them the quarter to round it up to the next dollar so you could get a $ 5 back). Sad. Forget the drive thru … just forget it. You will be trapped if anyone is behind you or ahead of you. Never use the drive thru. The food is the food — you know what you’re getting and it is consistent, if a bit more greasy than other locations. The problem here is the service. It is just truly awful.

Gary and I have eaten in a number of Carl’s Jr restaurants. This one is closest to our home. We went there later one evening because we had not eaten and were very hungry – and wanted something now! The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived, but that’s to be expected late on a weekday night. A friendly young woman took our order. We ordered two Big Carl’s, one of them as a combo. We presented a coupon which promised a free Oreo Cookie dessert if you ordered any size of a Big Carl combo. Oops, they were all out of that treat! Hmm, but we ordered the combo and had a freebie coming. Since they were out of stock, I was curious how she would solve this dilemma. Our order taker consulted with her manager, who must’ve been in the back room, and returned to us with solution in hand. She took our coupon, wrote our names on it and said it will be tacked on the manager’s wall until we return for our next visit. Fair enough. We’ll see how that goes – we’ll return in a few days. Meanwhile, we enjoyed our burgers and small fries(totally off my regular diet food but a special treat once in a while). The Big Carl is a very moist burger with a special sauce, cheese, two burgers(kind of small once they are cooked so the double makes a reasonable meal) and lettuce. The buns were fresh and the burgers were delicious and well prepared. The restaurant was clean(the frontline staffer was cleaning the floor) and we had a positive experience. TIPFORTHEDIETERS and CARB-CONSCIOUS: pull off some of the bun when eating fast food. It reduces the amount of carbs without reducing the experience of flavors and textures! TIPTWO: Seniors can get a 10% discount, as well as those in the military.

DONOTEATHERE. Ordered a Famous Star that was served on a bun so old and so stale that it literally thudded on the counter when I brought it inside to show them. The chain itself is usually pretty good, but this place will endanger your health.
