Canyon Creek Apartments

Beware, and stay away! I was motivated to review this apt. complex I currently live in because I was served with eviction papers this afternoon. The office said I never turned in the rent. Lucky I found the money order stub so that they would believe me, and supposedly they will send it to the corporate office. Its an ugly feeling when someone doesn’t do their job, and loses the check I gave to them in person. I have been living here for a year and it was ok, until the old management left, and temps ran the place and just let anyone in. So now there are shady tenants here. Looking forward to the end of my lease!

Can I give negative five stars?!
These apartments are so ghetto. We had a gun pulled on us for NO reason at all in the very back of the apartments when we first moved in. All we were doing was walking to our car and just so happened to be wearing red shirts. Drug deal gone wrong maybe? Gang members? That’s literally what the old manager said. And did the tenants get kicked out? No. Nothing was done about it at all.
All the old managers got fired, new ones came in but they are idiots too. They tried to put a note on my car (and everyone else’s) saying no one could park in the extra spaces in front of the office. If we kept doing so our cars would get towed. Oh? Because you are too lazy to walk? I paid a lot to live there, I should be able to park in an open spot by my apartment. Our assigned spot was nowhere near our apartment. It was half way to the back and we were in the very front. Really guys? We called corporate and they told us the office staff could not do that and they would be speaking to them shortly. We called corporate quite a few times over a lot of different things.
Our roof always leaked in multiple spots. They would come patch it and say they fixed it but it would eventually leak again. One time the ceiling in the master closet fell off due to water and fell on all of mine and my husbands clothes. We had issues with mold all over and all they did was paint over it and say there was no mold found. Pfft. I could seriously go on… and on… and on forever. Trust me when I say this, DON’T move there. Especially with kids.
The only good thing about these apartments was the maintenance man Roger, he’s cool. He always helped us and told us how much he hated the office people too. Thanks Roger!
