We couldn’t have been more impressed with our wedding cake from Bunz in the Oven! We dropped off our flowers and succulents the day before and chatted with Sonya about last minute details. When we arrived at our venue the cake was exactly where it needed to be and looked better than we could have imagined. My husband and I made sure to get slices of cake before our sparkler exit and were so happy with the cake! We highly recommend Bunz in the Oven for any special occasion!

I was very happy with my service. They were able to accommodate a rush order for me, and it met all my expectations.

DONOTGOHERE! I ordered a wedding cake through them and was told that if something came up that there was a $ 50 nonrefundable charge. We needed to cancel it(more than 3 months in advance) and she REFUSED to refund the money minus the $ 50. She said it was because we paid up front but if we hadn’t we could have gotten it back. That doesn’t even make sense! This was NOT what we were originally told. Even paper we signed states the $ 50 nonrefundable charge but NOWHERE does it say you won’t get it back. She also called our wedding venue for some reason. She seemed to think that was a normal thing to do. We did recommended this place to 3 other couples but now have called and told them to avoid the nightmare! I would suggest that you go elsewhere as well. I would find a RESPONSIBLE business that does what they say they are going to do!

I’ve been wanting to try put this place for a while, and I finally had the chance to recently. My daughter got stung by a bee in the car, so I figured I’d get her a cookie to help her feel better. When I walked in, I noticed one family in there discussing cakes with the lady running the place, and a man behind the counter just kinda… There. It took a few minutes to get acknowledged. I looked at their dummy cakes and noticed that some of the fake icing was smudged… Not a good thing for a cake to have, real or fake. At least turn the cake around to hide damage. There was also NO air conditioning at all. It was really hot in there. Maybe their system was busted, I don’t know. Anyway, I checked out the display of baked goods and it was pretty small. Two types of cookies and two types of fritters. They did have other cookies and mini macarons in a cake display. What bothered me was the things in the display were neither price marked or properly stored. Nothing had a shown price at all. When I asked the man behind the counter how much the cookies were, he didn’t even know. He asked the lady(who didn’t even once acknowledge my existance) how much. $ 1 a cookie. Fair price. I asked for one frosted sugar cookie and two snickerdoodles. He handed me one of each. He apologized and grabbed another snickerdoodle when I said the price seemed low. Honestly, I think he doesn’t work there, maybe just there for the day. They had an infant in the back room, so maybe he was just helping out? I don’t know. That’s fine if he was, but it would have been nice if the owner didn’t just ignore my attempts at greeting her and walk off in a huff… Now, for the taste test. The sugar cookie was for me, as I am a sucker for a soft, vanilla-frosted sugar cookie. I was a bit disappointed. While pleasantly soft, it had no flavor. It was just… Bland. I couldn’t detect a hint of vanilla or real butter. It tasted like the frosting was made of shortening. It wasn’t horrible, just not great. Now, here is why I had an issue with the display case. It was open and the snickerdoodles were so dried out and hard. The flavor wasn’t bad, but my daughter didn’t even finish it, and she typically shoves cookies down her little throat. Snickerdoodles are one if my husband’s favorites, and he was disappointed as well. So, to sum it up, okay cookies, okay service. Things really should be priced and stored better. Maybe I’ll give their cupcakes a shot. If everything goes better next time I go in, I’ll boost the review.

I should first mention that this business is formally known as Busy B Bakery. They changed ownership recently. I have ordered multiple cakes from both companies. The new owner has much better people skills and is very nice.(the past owner always seemed annoyed) I ordered my daughters birthday cake and requested a Snow White design. The cake was done using buttercream instead of fondant which was what we had discussed. I thought the cake looked cute but it could have been better. The flavor of the cake was perfect. My guests all loved the cake as they always do. I will definitely order from them again but will chose a simpler design from now on. For anybody who had a poor experience in the past I would urge you to give them a try again. I spoke with the new owner and she is very nice and deserves a second chance!
