Shopping here is an absolute treat. The atmosphere is relaxing and smells wonderful. When you walk into the store, you will be greeted quickly and someone will offer you a cup of tea almost instantly. I have only been there a few times where someone was unavailable to help me, but they would at least say hello and let me know they would be with me shortly.
Their products, while on the pricier side, have never failed me. Their Control Force hairspray is the best hairspray on the market, even though it’s rather expensive. They have an almost endless supply of skincare and hair products, each tailored to an individual’s needs — from puffiness, acne, aging, dry skin, etc. for skin care, and for colored, damaged, curly and volume for hair.
There will usually be products located in the front, such as candles, where a portion of the profits will go to help a variety of charities with which Aveda is involved. The candles are awesome, by the way. They also have introduced a new line of makeup in the last couple of years, with mixed results.
When you are finished shopping, they will always offer you a «moment of wellness.» This includes putting their signature «blue oil» on the back of your neck (smells like refreshing peppermint) and giving you a light back massage. Last time someone saw me getting this, she said, «Ill be here every day if I get to do that!’ Also, I want to mention that many of the employees have been around for a number of years, which speaks to the idea that they are treated well by their company.
I also very much like their Pure Privilege system, where your purchases give you points and you can accumulate them towards store rewards.

Had a great experience today at Aveda! Went in looking for a hair products. The sales associate asked if I had time for a consultation and i said yes. I’m glad I did! She started off by asking questions regarding my hair. After she suggested products, she gave me a complimentary massage with essential oils. Afterwards, she did a scalp analysis which was amazing to see! She took a close up picture of a hair follicle and based on its appearance, she was able to better suggest hair styling products. It was crazy to see the scalp up close because I initially thought my was fine. Turns out, it needed some help. When I checked out, she offered me a free 20 minute facial which I happily accepted. I scheduled an appointment for next Friday, but based on today’s experience I have high hopes that it will be fantastic. Additionally, she offered me free samples of products that she thinks will help. Highly recommend this place!!!

I just love this store. The ladies who work here are so kind and helpful. I needed some special products for fine hair. They went over everything. They even take pictures of your scalp and see what is needed to get you back on the right track. Pipa was the young lady who I saw today. Got a few samples from her to try. i did also purchase a product for volume before blow drying. I scheduled a facial which is free which will cater to the needs of my skin. I got a nice little head and neck massage for just going in. The products are a bit pricey but like the fact that they are natural. I’m one of these kind of gals who prefer to eat healthy and use proper ingredients specific to my needs. I am so happy with these folks here.

Who doesn’t like to stop into a store and be offered a spot of tea (their own that they sell) and a massage in the first 15 seconds? That’s exactly what you will find at the Aveda store at La Encantada. Beyond that, it’s full of quality hair and skin products for men and women. The Shampure and Rosemary Mint are my favorite shampoos which lather up and smell great. I’m always finding something new here to try.

Staff here were extremely helpful and informative about their products. I kinda like how this company «walks the walk» with environmental sustainability. Though their products are pricey, I like all the natural about them.
