The Assistance League Thrift Shop is like a cozy little high-end boutique. Cute displays dot the store. While the clothing selection is not as large as the Humane Society or Casa De Los Ninos thrift stores, they have neatly organized offerings. It almost feels like everything was hand picked for the store. They have nice seasonal items available. For Easter, they had a table of toys, baskets and misc. items out front, accompanied by a collection of hats and dresses appropriate for the holiday in the women’s clothing section. The store is run exclusively by volunteers who are plentiful, and always hard at work. Of note, my latest find was a gorgeous large gray wool/cotton blend blanket in mint condition for $ 10. Love those natural fibers! The shop closes toward the end of May until the end of June, and the hours are limited, so sometimes I find I have to make time to go during a weekday lunch break. It’s always worth it. Winter(6SEP — 27MAY) Tuesday-Friday 10 am — 4 pm Saturday 10 am — 2 pm Summer(21JUN — 1SEP) Tuesday-Thursday 10 am — 2 pm They have a great email list which notifies regulars of weekly specials.
